Does using this actually help you get fit and active? I was thinking of doing this rather than going to the gym.
I lost 50 pounds playing it along with dieting
Yeah but only if you like it. Use Dancing Gorilla to generate charts for songs you personally like and set up some playlists that go from slow -> intense -> slow and it makes for a pretty fun workout.
>>740398845Works well, but if you are even halfway skilled, Pay 100$ for a padded mat with foam inserts. They cost more, but don't slip, bunch up, slide, or bend as much. A very nice compromise between the shitty tarp version, and a 500$ metal dance pad
>>740398845yeah it's a good way to get some exercise and burn some calories, plus it's funI have a basement setup but I prefer going to Round1 to play StepManiaX
>>740398845My nigga just jog and do pushups, shit is free and works much better.
it's certainly more active than sitting in a chair
>>740400170Jogging and pushups aren't fun thoughDDR is fun and addicting
>>740400170I guess you could just put a video of someone doing it and then follow along with the steps, so you wouldnt even need a a pad
>>740400225This. Unless you are a meathead most hate this, gamification helps a ton
>>740400056>Pay 100$ for a padded mat with foam insertsDance mats are the gamer equivalent of treadmills. You think you want one but then you use it for 2 weeks and get bored and it collects dustI wouldn't even go for the padded mat, just buy the shitty folded PS2 tier plastic mat and see if you even play it for at least a month. Because I guarantee you OP is like those new year's resolution gym retards who quit before anything happens
if you can, try some VR beat saber.the modded songs will literally kick your ass to sweat town harder than most DDR, since its all arms, and some of the expert maps i swear you need a 3rd arm to play.
>>740400901DDR is much better for cardio than Beat Saber.
