They didn't secure victory, they shat themselves violently with live service disasters and curating an audience that expects movie slop with unsustainable budgets. They only "won" a hollow victory because XBOX committed sudoku through gamepass and pc day 1 parity and Micorshit's complete inability to ship a decent game.
Anyway, despite what they are claiming you aren't getting a next gen with current hardware prices. I honestly don't expect there to be a proper 10th gen. The future of gayming will probably be AI slop as AI is getting better. Why spend hundreds of millions of dollars on this circus if it can be slopped for orders of magnitude less cost? I don't think gayming industry as we know it will exist in 5 years.

this will come and go like a fart in the wind
for how long it's remembered after it's launch will be dependant on wether or not the game is long enough for someone to bother remembering bits and pieces of it
or if it somehow churns out some TLOU2 tier memes, but i doubt that'll be the case
i don't eve trust in them to fuck up in an entertaining way
