Do I need to play Steller Blade first to understand the story? I love well developed female characters!
>>740408337You should because it’s a good game.
I don't think we know how connected or not connected SB2 will be to the first game yet. Stellar Blade is one of those games where 90% of the plot happens in the last half hour of the game, and I'm not expecting much different from the sequel. The first game's still good enough that I'd recommend it on its own merits though, and not just a homework assignment.
>>740408337I literally fell in love with her while playing the game and felt depressed after finishing it.
how is the imrpoved defense mod? the author says he just applied sekiro's parry window timing to the game to make parrying more reactive. it does feel like im cheating, though.
didn't like it personally. just seemed low quality game and some sort of "soulslike" which i don't like. was expecting dmc type of game but that was not it
this second game seems drastically different other than vague design motifs and of course terms like naytiba will be retained
>>740408337>well developedOutside of her body, she's plain as fuck... I can't tell you a thing about her outside of the fact that her friend is a lesbian and that she has a crush on some guy that's absent for the majority of the game.
>>740408804It's a bit of a cheat given how impactful perfect blocks are. Stellar Blade is less punishing than Sekiro so the imperfect blocks aren't gonna kill you.
>>740408804I used it. It helped out in the early game when the parry timing just felt too damn strict for the kind of game it is. But the base game has some pretty significant parry window upgrades in the skill tree, and taking those plus the mod makes the timing so generous that it makes Metal Gear Rising look like Street Fighter 3. I don't think the mod creator knew about those upgrades when he made the mod. There really shouldn't have been upgrades in the first place. Having all of them feels like how it's SUPPOSED to feel, and they nerfed it just to add more nodes on the skill tree.
>>740408337from the dev's interviewhttps://www.inven.co.kr/webzine/news/?news=317188>You chose the subtitle 'Blood Rain' instead of 'Stellar Blade 2.' Is there a reason for that?"This game has a very clear narrative connection to the previous title. Naturally, there are parts where you can see what happens to the characters from the first game. However, rather than presenting it solely as a direct sequel, we are crafting it as a complete story in its own right, so that players encountering the series for the first time through 'Blood Rain' can enjoy it without needing to know the predecessor, while still deepening the overall narrative.I can't say too much right now, but once you finish the game, you'll find that not only is the character EVE charming, but the narrative surrounding her has become incredibly robust.
>>740408337Yeah you should, its a good game, and beautiful.
>>740408337Yes. Play it.Stop being a Japophile.
>>740409108>>740409269yeah i thought so. especially the future upgrades would make it way too easy. with the mod i went from struggling to easily perfect parry most attacks in early game. i uninstalled it.
It's fun, but I wish they had made more varied or more detailed environments. Two huge deserts was a bit much.
