The final two Shining games were Blade Arcus from Shining and Shining Resonance in 2013 and 2014. They received a total of 5 ports between them over the course of the next 8 years. A plan to remake Shining Force 1+2 and CD was planned and then cancelled in 2022, and that is the last we have heard from Shining.

There have been some spinoff games not really worth mentioning (DQ did spawn the Mystery Dungeon genre of games which inspired Pokemon Mystery Dungeon), but even those have dried up over this last decade.

Yu-Gi-Oh is even more dire. There hasn't been a real new Yu-Gi-Oh game since 2019's Legacy of the Duelist: Duel Links. Every "game" since has been a battle simulator that, for all intents and purposes, only has multiplayer. There used to be yearly YGO game releases and we haven't had any for this whole decade. Not even spinoffs.

Tales of Xillia 2 Remaster and Tales of the Abyss Remake at xbuck$.

I gave up waiting and decided to emulate abyss with hd patch. I'm more interested that the weird emulator graphical glitches disappeared which is why I put off emulating it. I played it a lot on genuine ps2 so the emulator defects annoyed me.

That's the intended way to do it though. Xillia 2 brings back that system as well, although it only affects your skills and not your stats this time.

I tried playing Symphonia recently (my first Tales game). While I liked the characters, the plot was moving along at a snails pace and I gave up. Admitedly I was only 6 hours in and had just reached Palmacosta, but the world and story felt super generic. Maybe I'll give it another try sometime

I wasn't interested in the series when Zestiria got it's bad rap and it certainly does a lot of things wrong but that's normal in the series, closest I can imagine is the weird battle mode which once you learn to move freely becomes pretty fun but extremely repetitive.
