In her expansion alone she took third place for most lines of dialogue--not in her expansion, but the entire game. She is not a very interesting character, she's childish, naive to the point of ignorance, and has very simple motivations that aren't compelling or even unique. Interactions between her and other characters are boring because there aren't interactions, they're all about her and characters go quiet or alter their behavior to prop her up, including your player character. Your relationship to her is baffling because it has no personality or characteristics, you just sort of follow her for no reason.2) Dawntrail wasn't poorly written, and being that she is the main and most consistent part of it, she somewhat rightfully gets flack for it. Dawntrail's writing is such a step down, it lacks any subtlety or nuance or impact, and the cutscenes are so lazy as is the question experience.3) Most of the characters in Tural are voiced by legitimate Latin-American actors but Wuk Lamat is voiced by a white transgender who poorly fakes a female voice and Meso-American accent that drops off mid-sentence. Her vocal performance is terrible is synonymous with the poorly written character. The actor is also mean-spirited and obnoxious, their social media posts vacillate between shit-flinging and doomposting. People say that "doesn't matter" but the behavior of a voice actor does matter since if they do some horrible shit they might have to be recast which affects the players.

If you can't even write believable dialogue and don't understand "show, don't tell," you're not ready to learn about pacing and characterization.
