With the switch 2 having a price increase in September and a probably a further price increase in 2027 would Nintendo consider moving away from the Switch brand after this generation?Would a switch 3 bigger than 4.5 tallĂ—10.7 wide for potentially 700USD be appealing to their audienceIf they did move away from the Switch brand where would they go?
>If they did move away from the Switch brand where would they go?It is obvious.Chinkslop consoles/handhelds will become more common. The industry will be flooded with AI slop and Jeetware before crashing, just like it did before the NES came along.Enter.Our saviour.Virtual Boy 2.
>>740487018Hopefully not, at this point we're far too entrenched in the library and it would be abysmal to have to rebuy any games.
they merged their console divison and handheld division sometime ago after wii u & 3ds died. switch division is what it is now.
>Nintendo introduces the DSwitch>Two smaller screens>one of them capacitive touch screen>one of them resistive touch screen>one screen is stereoscopic 3D>similar hardware power to Switch 2>backwards compatible>new exclusive games that use dual screens>longer battery life>new dock for it>sold as a new optional promised not to phase out Switch 2>eventually it does anyway
>>740487359Abysmal, yes. But you'd still do it. And you will.
>>740487018I could see them making a Switch 2 home console that does nothing but play Switch 2 in higher fidelity, but I doubt that would actually happen. A Switch 2 pro would be more likely.Kind of shame, because I only ever game at home. I never game while on business trips or on vacation, so a more powerful Switch 2 without a screen would be optimal for my gaming habits.
they're destined to repeat the Wii/Wii-U situation. So Switch 3 will be something retarded
>>740489323I think you will be something retarded by then.
GameCube is the only good 3D console format they ever had
>>740487018>With the switch 2 having a price increase in September and a probably a further price increase in 2027bullshit
>>740487301AI kino is here to stay forever. Your likes repeating the same buzzword changes nothing.
>>740487462I wouldnt though.
>>740489415>their worst consoleI see
the switch is the culmination of their hardware line, it includes pretty much everything they tried to do with past hardware handheld and home consoles included, it's also by far the most consistently successful branding they ever had, unlike the wii and ds lines that completely collapsed once the nongamer dwell dried outso no, they're not going to move on from it, the third world impotently seething at the switch 1 and 2 notwithstanding
No, they won't. There will be no separate home and portable consoles anymore, so the only and ideal option is a hybrid. Over the years, the power of the console will logically change, they will add some innovations and that's it. Why change a successful idea?
