they merged their console divison and handheld division sometime ago after wii u & 3ds died. switch division is what it is now.

the switch is the culmination of their hardware line, it includes pretty much everything they tried to do with past hardware handheld and home consoles included, it's also by far the most consistently successful branding they ever had, unlike the wii and ds lines that completely collapsed once the nongamer dwell dried outso no, they're not going to move on from it, the third world impotently seething at the switch 1 and 2 notwithstanding
No, they won't. There will be no separate home and portable consoles anymore, so the only and ideal option is a hybrid. Over the years, the power of the console will logically change, they will add some innovations and that's it. Why change a successful idea?
