Anomaly, stun, and other things, ZZZ's gameplay is focused around thresholds and doing big damage during them. Meanwhile staggering an enemy or tune breaking enemies is about getting a bit of time to play safely, interrupt enemy movement and such. Tune strain, Tune Rupture and so on enables adn gives more bonuses but it isn't nearly anything like ZZZ.

Lucys weapon only gives spectro damage buffs to people, while Galby gives some heavy and some echo buffs. It is the best for Lucy, but it'll never be the best or most versatile sig persay.

I come back every now and then to collect free pulls during events and crawl through the story, but when I booted it up this time I saw that I had some characters I wanted to use but they're from a later area apparently locked behind story progress and I can't get their upgrade materials so I'm literally unable to ascend them unless I skip. It's not really FOMO, but I also missed out on some of the events from the anniversary stuff because they were tied to the third area which feels wack. The overworld content isn't that difficult outside of the bosses but she's a support character so she's going to take 3x-5x as long as anyone to kill anything in the overworld and endgame optional content mandates teams. Things on Mt. Huanglong, the moths in the area added in the last patch, and most of Lahai-Roi's bigger enemies are going to be enormously tanky just using her and her alone. Lucy's a main DPS sidegrade to this guy.You also need to get items from the third major area in the game and the current area added in this patch to level either Rebecca or Lucy up let alone make them usable. Pretty sure there's a skip for new players.

They'll typically give you one free character with some way to get more duplicates of said character for free or some FOMO equip, and then there will be paid banners for any other characters you can get. Some games also have multiple events that give you multiple characters. Some collabs don't even have themed bosses to fight like here, it's strictly just the characters to unlock.Yakuza Online for example gives you a single unusable garbage character that only works for someone immediately brand new to the game and enough copies of the character to take them to level 100 for free when you log in and play daily for a week straight. There's multiple paid banners for 2-3 characters that do not share pity between themselves, an event that only whales can win to get even a single copy of an exclusive character to that event, and usually some sort of exclusive equip for said event that completely power creeps everything in the game up until that point. The Baki event in particular was a massive power creep in terms of the equips only whales could realistically obtain.The Battle Cats just has a special level with themed enemies and a banner that has 2-4 collab characters and that's it. Said collab characters are sometimes completely game breaking as well.
