Has anyone actually tried this game? It seems to have flopped so hard not even /v/ cared, how could they fuck up a Star Wars game where you play as a smuggler so bad?

>>740556752I watched some streamers play it because I can't be assed. It seemed to play like a less glitchy but more restrictive Bethesda game which is not a compliment. The AI was right on par and as easily exploitable. In the games first hour there are also no choices to be made.

It should have been a mandalorian bounty hunting game. You'd recruit characters to help you get to/take out targets and would earn all the cool mando toys along the way. Fully customizable armor. I skipped through a couple of those VODs and there were multiple glitches, no actual fun gameplay sections, and by the end, even when being paid to play it (so they could not say anything outright bad about the game) not a single one had anything good to say

I'm cautiously optimistic for the xcomlike that's supposed to be coming out, but star wars is very inconsistent lately in terms of quality. you'll have a film that looks good and is well-made like the sequels but at the same time the writing is complete doodoo. they just can't keep a consistent level of quality.

Star Wars Rogue One was good with a female lead. Every Star Wars had a strong female lead / representation even the original trilogy which was o so vacant of women. In the end it is about role models / leaders.You do not make a trash character, attached the label of heroine, and expect people to ACCEPT your creation. Fuck off you do not have to make them unlikable either. Korea dramas do characters better than the West nowadays that is how far behind the rest of the world it is becoming. Decades behind.

>>740556752I did. Got it at launch. I liked it. It's Ubislop to be sure, but done well. The weakest aspect is the main story which just wasn't interesting at all really. But the locations and atmosphere are top notch, the combat was pretty fun, the space combat was good, and the sabaac mini game is legitimately great (I spent a lot of time playing this at the cantinas due to sheer enjoyment). They've improved it quite a bit since launch and made combat as well as other aspects better. It's worth giving a try.
I got this game for free when I bought my new CPU the year it came out. Took me months after release to finally decide to try it out. I uninstalled it within about an hour and a half, never touched it again.Even legally free wasn't good enough for me to play it.

>>740556752Yea I beat it. Its pretty solid and has some really good star wars stuff if you like wandering around little houses and looking at detailed star wars props and stuff. The imperial bases are real neat to check out. I dont known it it excels at anything, which is why you probably dont hear much about it, but it gives you exactly what you want from it. And open world stsr wars game with blasters and cool aliens and a space ship you fly around in sometimes. Id recommend it if you like think the star wars aesthetic is cool and like open world games.
