What is the single most influentia game in the history of gaming?

There's many games that have invented or redefined genres. A bunch that have introduced mechanics that became staples.

But which game above all the others has had the most influence?

Dragon Quest (1986) is in the top 5
>>
influence means chasing trends btw. videogame genres are not the Platonic Solids of Gaming

Wizardry influenced DQ... It's basically responsible for all rpgs.

Yeah, but it was DQ that became the template for all subsequent JRPGs, not Wizardry. If we go with Wizardry, then we have to go with Pac-Land over SMB

What about wrpgs? With Wizardry, you've the Westsphere too.

Spacewar! (1962)
It may not be the oldest video game, but it is the earliest one that people who would go on to make their own video games played. Every single video game you have ever played was made by someone who was either directly inspired by Spacewar!, or by someone who was inspired by something made by someone who was inspired by Spacewar!.

Pick any game and you can trace its linage to Spacewar!. Let's try Super Mario Bros. since it's the pic in OP.
Super Mario Bros. (1985) was directly inspired by Pac-Land (1984).
Pac-Land is a sequel to Pac-Man (1980).
Pac-Man's development is closely related to Namco's other 1980 maze navigation video game, Rally-X (1980).
Rally-X was directly inspired by Head On (1979).
Head On takes it's scoring and lives system from Space Invaders (1978).
Space Invaders is a space themed iteration of Breakout (1976).
Breakout is a variation of Pong (1972).
Pong is Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney follow up to their first game, Computer Space (1971)
Computer Space is a clone of Spacewar!

Video games are Spacewar! all the way down.
