In polish version I encountered couple of hidden open world locations with untranslated notes in English instead of Polish. At the chapter 2 after the ritual, some generic side cultists were saying lines in English instead of Polish. Also, characters voice acting in Polish is done very well, besides... the unnamed hero himself. Legit sounds like he was recordes on some 30yo microphone with a weird filter, sometimes even sounds Ai.

Any tips for combat? I'm a veteran of the OG games but Kirgo/adult Scavengers are soft-filtering me. I can git good kinda and there's a rhythm to everything but for one:Blocking melee strikes seems fucking useless, you get chip damage (in the OG you didn't get anything provided your timing wasn't very off) unless I'm doing something wrong. If you evade backwards then most attacks are trivialized similar to OG but that lunge WILL hit you 90% of the time unless you're pretty far away.Evading works sometimes - I thought it had iframes when fighting Molerats and didn't get hurt once after I got the flow down, but with Bloodflies/Adult Scavengers it seems fucking random as shit, even if my timing is perfect I still get hit which makes me think it's more about distance.I want to git good.

The main issue with NotR is that its story happens too fast. By chapter 3 it's done and never matters again. It also runs concurrent with chapter 2 and the major story beat of returning to the colony. Then chapter 4 and 5 are as empty as always. They would need to spread it out more and make it more integrated in a remake. Like imagine if you needed Beliar's claw to defeat the final boss and so you have a reason to go to Jharkandar. Something like that. Make it part of the main quest. But I think they are going to sell them seperately if they remake them.

I remember playing that teaser they released in 2021 and that was quite possibly one of the worst things I ever experience, I was pleasantly surprised when I found out they were dropping all their dumbass changes and going for a straight remake. I’ll say I don’t like the voice acting but that’s not really because the acting in the original was “good”, it’s just…you get used to it. The nameless hero in the original trilogy had a certain cadence to him, cynical and fed up, the new guy just sounds like a weird robot. The VA in the original could range from corny to outright terrible, but at least they were all memorable. Oh and the lockpicking minigame is one of the worst things I’ve ever seen put into a video game and the designer responsible for it should be castrated so they can’t pollute the earth with their filth. I have NO idea why fucking diggers living in rotting shacks have these insano tier locks but then all the locked chests in dungeons are baby tier, it’s fucking retarded. Other than that the game looks nice and plays nice, the remixed music is good, and the monsters look great. The sense of panic when I saw a shadowbeast for the first time was wonderful. I like that is it’s a 1:1 remake, it had enough changed that it still keeps me on my toes while having the things I’d expect in recognizable spots. They really outdid themselves with this one. Also I don’t know what was up with that schizo saying they censored the sex slaves, they’re still done up in weird kinky outfits and spent all day cleaning or cooking, the only notable change is they have names and a couple of quests like the one lady has you beat up bullit, which I was gonna do anyways so whatever.
