Is there any other start of game trainer that trains strength other than Diego? I've spent THREE FUCKING DAYS, at all times of the day, trying to talk to his bitch ass and he just keeps saying "not now." I've been to every camp, I've found a bunch of shit (That I can't use because my strength is too low) got one-handed training in new-camp, learned novice-magic, got a map, and reached level 5, all with still only 10 strength because every guide says talk to Diego and he will not fucking do anything other than keep saying "not now." I'm starting to get proper fucking irritated.

As someone who knows the original game in and out, I'm pleasantly surprised about the remake.It's pretty faithful to the original. The things they added are pointless filler though. They should've focused on fixing things that actually needed fixing instead. My one glaring issue is that the movement controls are fucking terrible. You move like a tank and I have no idea how anyone could have thought that this is acceptable during development.The lockpicking minigame also sucks, which wouldn't be a big deal if the game only had as many locked chests as the original, but the remake easily has 10 times as many.There were also some quest related bugs. I played the fire mage path and until I finally joined they always attacked me for trespassing in their church, which you need to enter for the quest.If you're interested in playing it, I would wait a few more months until they fix these issues and improve performance.

Credit where it's due, it's impressive how ahead of its time Gothic was when it comes to NPC behavior. When in Morrowind all the NPC were either standing stock still or nonsensically running in circles, NPCs in Gothic had a realistic and sometimes quite complex day/night routines, they were reacting to what's going on around them, they were interacting with each other and so on. It wasn't until Oblivion that Bethesda did something similar with its NPCs, but even that was coming off as quite artificial by comparison.
