Anyone else just skipping act 2 elites now on most runs? My win rate skyrocketed once I started doing that. I have no issues taking 3-4 elites in act 1 or 3 but decimillipede and prism are like 30-40 HP loss on average each. Prism and decimillipede are consistently the highest HP loss encounters in the game for me.Do you guys think act 1 and 3 elites are too weak in comparison or just act 2 elites are overbuffed?

Act 2 is designed to kill you if you barely survived Act 1. Also Avalanche is bullshit. Attack on the wrong turn? Enjoy playing all your block cards while he's not attacking, and then drawing your attack cards when he's going to explode, and dying. You have to savescum every time if you don't have skill or block potions when fighting avalanche.

>>740620453My problem with Act 2 elites are that they are designed like Act 2 bosses. Elites aren't supposed to hard counter entire deck types, the Act 3 bosses are. But Bee Man counters thousand cut decks, and the rock thing counters decks that deals damage primarily through playing skills. Only the millipede feels like an elite as opposed to a boss, but it feels like an Act 3 elite placed in Act 2, it's relentless, it never gives you a break. Theoretically you get a break by killing one of them for a turn, except they have way too much health for that, these are nothing like the dark blobs with the same gimmick from STS1 which were oddly Act 3 elites and easier to beat. You COULD kill one or two of those off at a time just for a breather. But with the millipede, if you can't kill all of them before one regens, you're done, they have too much health and hit too hard.
