The open world is not as underutilized as it just hard filters people who require explicit reward and direction to enjoy video games. Doing everything on the world map is a lot of fun and takes a long time, but fun is almost all you get out of it, followed by a number going up and stickers, oh and you can collect/unlock the costumes too.
