Are you ready?
I'm ready to not buy.
>>740610495I am so excited.
>GTA6 and new Ocarina both releasing Novemberwew
Do we really need a remake of one of the most famous and important games of all time that everyone has already played?
I'm ready to be disappointed, because I want a full re-imagining, but we all know it'll just be OOT3d in 4k and maybe voice acting/orchestrated music if we're lucky.
>>740610842Yes. So long as Miyamoto is alive we need to relive his masterpiece.
My body is ready it's been too long since I did a play through.
>>740611037you have to believe anon, believe in the power of possibility
>>740611274I can't anon I'm too depressed and deflated by 20 years of disappointment.
If it looks good I'll buy a switch 2, and it's probably going to be the only game I play on that thing.
>>740611360you must anon, together
>>740610842Yea
>>740611470Same. My switch 2 purpose depends on this looking good (if it even exist).
>>740610842if it has BOTW controls and assets its gonna PWN all the other vidyaDEIGayBabyInc slop out there
>>740611704>BOTW assets Fuck no
>>740610842What game are you referring to since I thought this thread was about OoT?
Do they have to?
>>740611918Are you implying that oot isn’t one of the most important games of all time
>>740610495it's for gen alpha though
>>740611779its the best Zelda has ever looked, maybe second only to skyward sword or wind waker but its the way of the future
Still haven't played it but when I do it will be the original via emulation. Imagine paying for a 30 year old game with a new coat of paint KEK
>tendies are now OoTsnoysoof
>>740612228>original via emulationI can’t think of a more soulless way of playing this for the first time
what if the game was hyper realistic and zelda and link are based on their live action counterparts
>grew up on Link's Awakening, Seasons, A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time>have to live in a future where niggas keep saying shit like "Wind Waker was my FIRST Zelda game!! If it wasn't for wind waker I wouldn't even be a FAN!! >:(">have to live in the botw/totk future>have to live in the future where they remake Ocarina of Fucking Time for some fucking reasonwhat are some games for this fucking feel where I'm alienated from one of the franchises I used to be autistic about but now I feel so separated from it I haven't bought a zelda game in ten yearshalf my fault, half Nintendo's desuI had triforce tennis shoes once upon a time
>>740612031I don't need to imply the obvious... They're several games that did what OoT did not only before it but also better. Even if you want to skirt about that fact OoT doesn't hold up today at all. Most of you are blinded by nostalgia but if you look passed that as I have it's hardly a 7 maybe 7.5/10 game. Don't bother replying if you haven't actually played the game.
>>740612395>haven't bought a Zelda game in 10 yearsThat's only 2 games, which is the actual problem lol
Where did this OoT remake idea even come from anyway?
>>740612750Why make new, when you can repackage old?
>>740612750A leak earlier this year that also included a new (well, "new") Starfox.
>>740610495Ocarina of time remake wishlist:>Holes are replaced with actual places regarding the world geometry with no loading instead of generic holes in the ground that you fall into>60 FPS or more>Hyrule Field is fun to traverse>Kokiri Forest tutorial removed>Radial menuless item swap>Map teleportation once you learn the respective song, no need to repeat the song over and over again>New enemies>New bosses>New dungeonsWhat else do you guys want to see in the remake?
>>740613189The golden skulltula glitch still active. Arwings in the datamine.
>>740613189Link driving a car lol
Malon dating sim that is as complex as the rest of the game and basically a second game.
>>740610842Tendies can't experience it unless it's BotW slopified.
>>740610495Why do you guys want this? You’re just going to scream bloody murder about every single change, big or small.
>>740613189>What else do you guys want to see in the remake?a lot
>>740613536Speak for yourself. Best case scenario its a pointless, slightly prettier version. Worst case its BotW again with a few Ocarina elements thrown in.Either way its a bad idea.
>>740613536Depends on the change, Ocarina of Time is not perfect. If they change good things into bad things I will get pissed. If they change bad things into good I will be happy.>>740613571Go ahead, tell us, let's create some expectation until then
>>740613536The only change I really hated in the 3DS remake was Ruto gaining cups. It looks stupid and also doesn't even make sense for a zora. I doubt they'll change it so drastically that I won't like it.
>>740612439>They're several games that did what OoT did not only before it but also betterName one.
>>740610842yes, OOT is obsolete uncslop
>>740613536Simple, I want it to be an entirely new game wearing a skin suit lol. Would be so cash.oh you like the original that much? go play it again.

>>740614292Nice blog retard
>>740612395>what are some games for this fucking feel where I'm alienated from one of the franchises I used to be autistic about but now I feel so separated from itironically Breath of the Wild the game clicked for me during a time when I was absolutely disillusioned with gaming, no lieI will illustrate a picture, I thought Botw ruined Zelda, I bought the Wii U to play Metroid and Zelda and then the Switch came out and I thought Botw looked really boring, I pirated and tried it and it bored the shit out of me. I spent years ranting about the game on social media to anyone that would listen. I tried it a second time in an emulator and hated it, the stage was set and I felt lost. Then came 2023 and Tears of the Kingdom released to critical acclaim and people started saying Breath of the Wild felt like a tech demo, it was going to be hard to go back to Botw, it was just a prototype thanks for beta testing. And then Nintendo announced the closure of the eshop so I said fuck it, and I hacked my Wii U and thought this feels like the right move. Then that third time I tried it the game clicked, me and Botw were one, forgotten, alienated, replaced, neglected. Something about that experience healed me and I came back stronger. I became an avenger and now I rail against the same lost souls I once was whenever they speak ill of this spiritual and transcendental experience.
>>740613864It's a good early 3D melee Metroidvania. Many other games have surpassed it.The original does not hold up thanks to the framerate and many other issues. The story of Ocarina of Time is serviceable, not anything groundbreaking but okay for what it wanted to tell.I 100% agree with this anon >>740612439If Nintendo wants Ocarina of Time to be groundbreaking like it was 30 years ago they will need big changes
>>740614923>If Nintendo wants Ocarina of Time to be groundbreaking like it was 30 years ago they will need big changesExactly, this is what "purists" do not understand. They envision a no-win situation with their defeatist attitude. Oot was something special in 1998, no amount of just repeating that game will amount to anything. Oot remake needs to be something now in 2026.
>>740610495It's going to be shit. None of the sovl from the original game, watered down to cater to LGBTQ/sensitive faggots and adhere to CERO's draconic rating system. I'm sure some DEI bullshit will be shoehorned in. Not to mention Treehouse butchering every localization, so we have that to look forward to. It will be OoT in name, but won't actually be OoT.And then maybe worst of all, the BotW-ification of it. And I liked BotW. But that doesn't belong in OoT. There is no winning here. The aesthetic and atmosphere from that game cannot be recreated in the current day climate of video games and pandering to the 'modern audience'. It'll be shit, and I hope every person from my generation who consooms this meets a grim end. They have no self control, they're goycattle seeking the next hit no matter how poor quality it is.
>>740613189Kokiri barely has a tutorial, you can get the sword and shield in five minutes, all the reading is completely optional. It's one of the best tutorials in Zelda history because of the brevity. This board will never admit it, but the tutorial in MM is several times worse.
>>740610842we need remakes of everything for the cottonbrained retards who are too scared to try old games but really want to be a part of the cool guys who played them
>>740617675>Kokiri barely has a tutorial, you can get the sword and shield in five minutes, all the reading is completely optional. It's one of the best tutorials in Zelda history because of the brevity.Desu, you live in a post-zelda BoTW/TOTK world where tutorials are minimal. Where the player is allowed to learn the game. You now live in a world where almost every popular game is 3D 3rd person game. You don't need a tutorial explaining how to navigate in a 3D world in 3rd person camera anymoreKokiri tutorial forest is straight up USELESS. It needs to be gutted being placed in out of the game.
>>740614292>>740614758>>740614923>>740613681>>740613189You fags don't want OoT. You don't actually want OoT. You want BotW-tier open world, crafting, and puzzle-skipping with an OoT skin slapped on top. You want the title "Ocarina of Time" on a game that is fundamentally different from OoT.There's nothing wrong with wanting some QoL improvements, but a lot of these suggestions aren't improvements, they're complete redesigns. At that point you're treating every part of the original game like it was some mistake that needs fixing. It's not a perfect game, but if you change every dungeon, every mechanic, every item, every puzzle, and every bit of progression, then congratulations, you didn't remake OoT, you replaced it with a different game.
>>740611174you don't need a remake to do that
>>740619994>You fags don't want OoT.You don't actually want OoT. You want BotW-tier open world, crafting, and puzzle-skipping with an OoT skin slapped on top. >>740617870The Kokiri tutorial is 100% optional and player-directed, there's nothing to gut, no pop-ups telling you about controls, nothing, just NPCs and signs you can choose to interact with or not.

>>740620386You want a sequel then?
>>740619994>You don't want OoT.I don't want 1998 era version of the game. >>740620349Yeah, dumbasses dont know that if youre a pro gamer like you or me then you just have to stand on the third platform in the water and backflip facing mido's house until you glitch out into hyrule field. What a bunch of retards, thinking they have to actually play the game.
>>740613189There needs to be more side things to do during the mid to late game because it's just a temple rush at this pointSaying that, I'm not buying it because remakes settle for a solid 8/10 experience
>>740610495if they don't put the cut content i don't care.Already replayed OoT this year, i still crave all the cool shit that was cut.also please don't kiddify all the Sheikah/Shadow Temple stuff, it's the single most interesting part of the lore

>>740610495i want it to have WILDLY expanded content1:1 remakes are mostly useless and pointless even if they add good QOL features which don't detract from the core design of the game
you wont get a remake because there is no way to add trannys, blacks, and fags to OoT This is why you'll get TP instead
>people will buy this when oot is already available on the switch 2>>740610842No, we don't. I have heavy remake fatigue.

>>740610495I'm ready for them to completely rape my favorite video game
if they had balls they would turn OoT and MM into a single expanded game

>>740622579>you have to play through all of OOT if you want to start a new MM playthroughsounds horrible actually
>>740610495Unless they can recreate the creepy, otherworldly feel of the dungeons I do not want it. ToTK underground wasn't nearly as creepy as it could've been

>>740628415Nintendo forgot how to make real dungeons. People don't realize how hard those were to make.
>>740610842Yeah, it'd be nice if the puzzles weren't braindead and the game wasn't completely reailroaded. I'd also like some decent boss fights.
>>740610495Even if the game is shit, you know that soundtrack is gonna be killer. Especially if its fully orchestrated
>>740610667FPBP. FUCK DEMAKES.
>>740623035That's what happens when Zelda threads aren't circle jerks of the people who think the game they grew up with is the best.
They should tease everyone and have Zelda OOT music play in the countdown before the direct starts. But not actually have the trailer for the remake until at the end of the direct. https://youtu.be/0hEYvdMoF2g
>>740623237I think that's the key thing. It's not a game that gets any benefit of a 1:1 remake like what Star Fox did. Prettier skyboxes and voice acting won't do anything. in fact, I think it'd hurt it.
>>740610495Marketers are

>>740629249>Hyrule Field shrunken down significantly
>>740613189Actually difficult combat.
>>740610842Well, yes. I already played the original a million times, give me a reimagination, no one is asking for a remaster
>>740613189>Ocarina of time remake wishlist:Better puzzles. Better mechanics. Puzzle design more like LttP where you don't get a tool in the dungeon then use it for everything. Combat that isn't boring, especially bosses. More freedom of order you do things. More/better sidequests. Stuff like a hookshot you can swing and jump freely with and not the shitty hookshot from the original game. No Navi.
>>740629378It ain't 1998 anymore. No one is impressed by how much the N64 can render, and that was the only reason Hyrule was as big as it was. The OoT devs themselves made Termina Field smaller and denser than Hyrule Field because unlike OoT, MM wasn't a tech demo and therefore didn't need to waste the player's time (granted it still did so, just not because of the level design)
>>740614923>>740615445it will be shit because nintendo is shitOOT and MM were flukes
I'm bound to replay it at some point and enjoy it more than today's AAA slop either way, might as well spruce it up and have it leave a distinction impression compared to the other playthroughs. People crying about "demakes" are funny, they act like it's the cancer killing games. No, cinematic trash that you watch more than you play, that takes 6 years and costs hundreds of millions of dollars to make, just so you can see some ugly bitch's pores, are what's actually killing the industry. Remakes are, if nothing else, actually GAMES.
>>740613189>obvious shit like better camera movement, polished controls, graphics, etc.>skippable cutscenes>at least one new dungeon and boss>more stuff in Hyrule Field, even if it's just random houses. That one corner with nothing but tress can be turned into a small village, for example>another side quest line>a "climax" to the Lon Lon Ranch arc where we deal with Ingo properly, instead of him inexplicably turning good. The following isn't necessary, but would would be cool>playing as Navi like the beta leak suggested>lore breadcrumbs that reference other games>romance mechanics>more screen time for Ganondorf>some way to continue playing after beating the final boss, like the ending is just a cutscene we can trigger at will
CHOOSE YOUR ARTYSTYLE
>>740630924we call them demakes because what we get is the worst of both worlds. They make shitty, casualized gameplay, and shove it into games that previously had good gameplay instead of making a new game with new ideasat least Capcom stopped remaking shit and made RE9 and Pragmata instead of remaking RE5 or RE1In OoT's case, the game is already super casual babbymode so it doesn't matter
>>740631264>the new games don't make me feel like I have big pp for playing them like the old onesI don't have this problem because my dick isn't small in the first place
also funny you'd bring up RE, those remakes are way fucking harder than the original games, every single one
>>740610667Fpbp
>>740610495I don't want OoT with a breath of the wild reskin. I want a new game.
>>740631376Probably not for people that never played the originals since they used cookie cutter TPS controls that literally every TPS game uses these days instead of tank controls that don't allow you to move and shoot
Hope I can ride the heckin dodongorrinos
>>740610842Honestly, yes. The original game is amazing, but it's frankly weird that there's no way to play it at high res in any official capacity.Despite being the legit GOAT, there's just enough about it that isn't close to as good as it could be and was held back by constrains the devs were under to release it on the N64 (not even the DD like was originally envisioned) and that Zelda has done far better in other games that a remake where they employ everything they've got to cement it as the absolute greatest with no room for doubt is honestly a no brainer at this point.
>>740611704>if it has BOTW controls and assetsOG OoT already has better controls than BotW. It's much more crisp and responsive and less sloppy feeling as is. Likewise, it also has better art direction, though I'd like to see the reimagining have an *actually painterly* style that's not quite realistic but not as cartooning as all the Zeldas with 'alt artstyles' have been so far.
>>740613189Ocarina used in combat somehow, buffs, debuffs, ect. Make link a bard basically.Ocarina songs used more prominently in overworld puzzles, like filling a small pond to reach an item, and unlocking warp points, like how Okami did warps with the celestial brush technique.Bug net and fishing rod items, and a full bestiary of fish and bugs to catch all across Hyrule. Some kind of beach area in the southern end of the map.Upgrading the Din, Nayru, Farore spells somehow. The sage medallions having some kind of passive powers attached to them. Some kind of battle gauntlet like Majora's Ikana Canyon.Ice cavern upgraded to a full dungeon, with it's own ice area on the map.Temple of time upgraded to it's own dungeon after link wakes up from his slumber. The sacred realm being an actual area that you can go into.More focus on combat technique, rather than just slashing to win. Make the enemies more like the wolfos, who have weak points and openings to their attack patterns. Give the enemies some kind of armor that blocks certain hits and requires you to actually utilize the different swings that link uses.Examples.>Helmets block jump slashes, so use thrusts and swipes to defeat any enemies that have one.>Plates block thrusts and most slashes, so focus on jump slashes, and kneeling stabs (attacks legs).
>>740631979I know it gets flak but I fucking love the art direction for OoT 3D. Melee/SC2 Link was the peak of that design and that's basically what they made it look like.

>>740632181>I know it gets flak but I fucking love the art direction for OoT 3DMy honestly opinion is that the 3DS version is massively held back art wise by the low resolution of the console it was on and massively benefits from being blown up like this so you can actually see the details. Having said that, the lighting is massively off in a lot of ways regardless, even if certain areas are massively improved overall (like Kokiri Forest).
>inb4 it looks like the Link's Awakening remake

What I want>Pic relatedWhat's going to happen>A run button + stamina because heaven forbid you run and fight nonstop without having to 'manage' something>Every area is ten times larger with empty space or 'content pockets' or whatever faggots today like to reduce gameplay to>Breakable weapons (Faggots love using deku sticks and the giant's knife as a gotcha moment but one is used for utility and the other a temporary item to upgrade into an unbreakable weapon, the Master Sword didn't cool down)>Master Sword has a cooldown, Kokiri's Sword is a key item instead of Y. Link's main weapon>Needless expansion of the main story, dragging down the generally quick pace of the original game>Redesigned dungeons to be even more braindead with five switches to access the main boss room>Every boss now has an eyeball which is Ganondorf's Aura, formerly known as Gloom - er, Malice>Lake Hylia made into THE most important area, with a statue created in Her name>Three goddesses retconned completelyOoT3D is the framework for a remake, not the original game and that's where they're going to use. I was hopeful for something good but I forgot that Fubayamahoopa is going to be at the helm of it.
>>740633482>If not then I have SoH kitted out as is.With what? Like 95% of the mods for it are textures or model replacers. It's good if you want to play OoT as Nepgear, but there's no new content
>>740613189>>Kokiri Forest tutorial removed? You can run around grabbing blue rupees all over, ignore literally everyone besides the Z-target girl interfering, and get the sword and shield in a couple of minutes. It's actually the best diegetic tutorial in the series simply because there's no fluff, repeated minigames, spending several hours faffing about for plot or shrines, and so forth. In less than ten minutes from game boot you can be in the Great Deku Tree.
couldn't be less excitedunless it's the TRUE reimagining of zelda 64 DD, it's going to be dogshit im talking equipping the medallions, using the medallions on arrows, the lost areas, majora's mask fully integrated (we can admit now majora's mask is just cut content right? have you seen the leaks? it was all the same game at one point) the full hyrule field i want the real fucking deal or nothing at all. give us the vision you had 30 years ago nintendo. or just fuck off with this OOT shit, the original game is completely fine. if you absolutely need better graphics play the DS or PC version
>>740633469We still dont know if the remake is real and if it is will it be an exact clone or will there be changes to the story? see you tomorrow you faggots
>>740633632That phrasing is not about content but like, the definitive version for playing the game as is. If the remake doesn't differentiate itself enough, there's no reason to step past that port; if it does, then I got SoH for classic OoT and the remake for two cakes basically. Unless it's more BotW style stuff.
>>740610667This post is underrated.
>>740633740Its incredible that ROM hacks do a better job with the franchise than Nintendo we just want an Ocarina ROM hack but with better graphics thats all is it so difficult?
>>740633521>Breakable weaponsfuck yeah, that would actually be awesomebecause it means there's accompanying gameplay mechanics that coincide with it
>>740633740>unless it's the TRUE reimagining of zelda 64 DD, it's going to be dogshitMan imagine if they do a remake and it's so purist refusal to change anything that all the houses and Hyrule Castle Town are STILL fixed camera angles compared to the old beta plans.
>>740633750The remake is all but confirmed at this point>if it is will it be an exact clone or will there be changes to the story?Who knows
>>740634041dude that's literally what it's going to be, that's why i'm not excited at all.
>>740633975Sorry, but what's supposed to be fun about managing your weapons? I like using weapons, not managing them
>>740634216Nothing at all is fun about managing durability. I didn't mind it too much in BotW, but it's a completely unnecessary game mechanic that doesn't add any value to gameplay. I think people who play survival/craft games really like that shitty mechanic, doesn't make any sense to me to want to carry around tons of weapons that will break and now you're stuck with gimped gear. Retard behavior.
>>740634041>all the houses and Hyrule Castle Town are STILL fixed camera anglesThat would be based. They don't need to be flat images, but having the camera frame the areas like the original game (like how MM) does would be kino. It adds so much charm to the game for it to work like this.
>>740634216If I had a hand in Zelda it would do innovative shit, like>wallet has a capacity>can only hold a certain amount of rupees>so when you find high value rupees you will want to replace your green ones>but green ones are useful for certain stuff other than shopping>map charts where you go on the overworld>enter a cavern>come out of a cavern elsewhere>new map starts being charted>when sitting around a campfire you can manage your wallet, piece together maps, cooks food, and get rest>patroling monsters can see the fire at night the smoke during the day>they can interupt your sleep and prevent you from restoring stamina>only certain amount of stamina for a day of adventuringect, I would revolutionize everything. Meanwhile you're just bitching about a perfecting working system just because you don't like it. We are not the same.
>>7406345373D already did that, albeit with a moving dolly cam in the backalley instead of being completely static.
Making OoT into a BotW/OoT hybrid is completely missing the point. The best OoT remake wouldn't be about "fixing" the game. It would be about expanding on what was already there and restoring ideas that had to be cut because of N64 limitations and development time.People act like OoT is some flawed prototype that needs modern Nintendo design shoved into it. No. It's one of the most influential games ever made. You don't repaint the Sistine Chapel because modern artists use different techniques. You should instead build on the foundation, should you want to honor it.>Expanded sword combat and techniques (many moves originally planned for OoT, such as the back slice, helm splitter and other techniques that would later appear in WW and TP)Expanded horseback combat (something Miyamoto wanted to push further even during OoT's development, and added to TP)>Expanded side-quests and NPC schedules (Majora's Mask showed just how much more life you can squeeze in the world through side content. MM being a direct sequel to OoT, and originally an expansion from it)>Expanded overworld (there are whole new regions which could be added as secret areas to reward the player. I believe many of them could be post-game content. You could have a whole icy region beyond Ice Cave, for example. Also new areas in the desert)>Expanded enemy list (as is, there is a lot of variety already, but having more enemies which test your combat skills wouldn't hurt. Think of Twilight Princess' Darknuts)>Secret Dungeons (again, as post-game content. OoT's dungeons are fine)That's the direction a remake should go. You need to have MORE OoT, not less.If your first instinct when remaking it is to replace half the game with modern trends, it highlights a fundamental misunderstanding of fuckhuge degrees and you're simply not fit to the task.
>>740634872Bro, your medallion chemistry system cut from Ura Zelda?
Someone please leak it already we know it will be crap and wont be faithful to the original game dont expect a Ura Zelda or a Zelda DD it will be BOTW again i cant wait to see that piece of garbage generic trailer
>pledge that all Zelda's from now on will be open world>actually here's an OoT Remake
>>740634965Open world Ocarina of Time is going to go so hard
>>740634762>Meanwhile you're just bitching about a perfecting working system>I would revolutionize everythingpick oneGiving the player more management busywork doesn't make the game more fun unless you're planning on making a /gsg/ gameWhat would make OoT more fun is increasing enemy spawns and make enemies faster, more aggressive, and less predictable. And also making the puzzles more elaborate. Adding more resource management is a surefire way to make an action game lamer
>>740634762>cook food>limited stamina for a day of adventuring>interrupting sleep will undoubtedly fuck your stamina even more>revolutionizing anythingI am not playing Zelda for shitty survival game elements. This is a video game. This realism shit is gay and antithetical to fun. Go play Fallout or Conan. The patrolling monsters idea already kind of exists with BotW but I like the idea of them spotting the campfire, that's fine because it can lead to actual fun gameplay moments.
Nintendo will use AI to create this Remake
>>740634872The only good post ITT.
>>740634872>Expanded horseback combat (something Miyamoto wanted to push further even during OoT's development, and added to TP)Honestly playing the game again recently, it's kind of hilarious that not only is Epona 100% optional if you know what you're doing, but even when you do get her, there's Big Poes, the convenience of far fewer risks for the Biggoron Sword trips, and the Archery Range - and nothing else. The warp songs are practically handed to you like candy depending on how you go about progression so much of the horse necessity disappears.
>>740632138Will you marry me? Your suggestions are beautiful
>>740635484The warp songs kinda suck though, the only ones that take anywhere useful are the Temple of Time one, the Lake Hylia one and the Kakariko graveyard one (and you get that one way too late anyway). All the others take you to locations you only need to visit once apart from the game clumsily forcing you to go to the Spirit Temple just to get the song, warp back to the Temple of Time, warp to the spirit temple to do the kid part, back to the temple of time, and then back to the spirit temple for the adult part. This is something a remake could probably make flow a lot betterReally could've used one for the Zora's domain entrance, the middle of the Lost Woods and
>>7406321383D Zelda with buff/debuff would be fucking crack to me
>>740635484>not only is Epona 100% optional if you know what you're doing,This is legit one of the coolest things about the game. They way you get her feels so organic and unforced, you just find yourself outside the ranch with her after a bunch of interactions that are purely driven by you investigating stuff. Some people never found her, others had no idea she was even optional. It's legit probably the best designed sidequest in any game, and many people weren't even sure if it was a sidequest at all.
>>740635105>pick oneI did, you should pick a lane, stick to the speed limit.
>>740611174>OOT>his
>>740635106You're not beating Zelda with revolutionary survival and management. It makes Dark Souls look like a game for babies. Ganon is out there growing in power, you have a month to find him, disrupt supply chains, dispatch enemies as efficiently as possible, if you don't eradicate him then start over.
>>740635967I honestly had no idea anyone could miss her. The second I saw the intro I knew I had to get her eventually. I do agree that it is pretty cool that it feels organic, I initially assumed you'd get her in the story automatically.>>740636176Dark Souls is for babies, anon. I love the games, but they're not hard.>disrupt supply chainsmitebcool. Don't care for the "start over" bit.

>>740632112>OG OoT already has better controls than BotWlmao now they do not, look i know OoT is "babbys first big boy game" but you gotta be honest with yourselfOoT will greatly benefit from modern controls and graphics and gameplay
it's 100% going to be BOTW-ified and have that same emergent gameplay bullshit that they've been forcing into all their games lately.
>>740610842The zoomies are already disagreeing, but you're right. The game is a piece of art. Don't touch it. Let it be. It already had an unnecessary remaster.
>>740636594The only thing OoT needs control-wise is more camera control than just a button that centers the camera behind you and making lock on something that's a toggle instead of something you have to hold down. That's it. There's no need to fuck with anything else.
>>740625560> and thats a good thing!
>>740636594>but you gotta be honest with yourselfTeh fuck are you on about. I can go bakc and forth between OoT and BotW and OoT has more direct feeling controls. Wacking stuff with your sword feels better in OoT and the game gives you more control over this.
>>740636353>Don't care for the "start over" bit.adds stakes, deal with it the way you deal with breaking weapons
>>740636584I'm willing to bet there are whole pages in the archives with this very same file reposted over and over by your autistic ass. >tldr; kys
If they could add new dungeons, what should they be?>Another Gerudo Training Ground, one in the Wasteland>A smaller fire cavern in Death Mountain>A hidden area in Lost Woods>An enemy stronghold in future Hyrule Field
>>740612395it's not remotely the same genre but this game "feels" the most like zelda out of anything i've played in a long time. it's very similar to OoT 3D aesthetically and in terms of exploration (though the novelty of the open world does wear off after a while).
>ctrl+F master quest>zero repliesIt'd be REALLY cool if the game was restructured enough that they could handle it more like Zelda 1's second quest, maybe even move entrances around in the same fashion, even if they still wound up just being the MQ layouts. I guess most aren't holding out for any form of inclusion and that's a fair expectation desu
>>740637125Snowpeak
>>740637125I'd like to see something kind of ethereal and magical feeling, perhaps something related to the great fairies or the goddesses. >>740637240I wouldn't mind having some of Master Quest as a difficulty option from the get go.

>>740637229This is the stupidest thing I've read in a long time. It's absolutely nothing like Zelda or OoT in terms of design or visuals or gameplay design. It's a PS2 style mascot platformer but with larger areas and more momentum based movement. The only way you could possibly think it's anything like Zelda is if you think all 3D games are copying Zelda.
>>740638138lol the first time I played this I thought the goal was to lock the bomb behind the ladder, I only realized in subsequent replays I could just time the blast
>>740638034From fighting Ganondorf was actually what I imagined to start because that's probably what I struggled with more when I was a dumb child playing this game the first time. I figured out you could roll between Ganon's legs pretty early.

I feel like they kinda have to change the puzzles as they would be considered extremely basic by modern standards.
>>740610842>>740636827Video games are not art. Video games are just consumer products that need to be updated to make them more consumable.

>>740638483NTA, but the only difficult one in the game is the rotating platform in the Forest temple where you shoot an arrow through a torch to hit a switch covered in ice. Nintendo thought it was brilliant too, so they reused it in Majora's Mask, lol.

They need to have a hard mode or something as not only would the puzzles be considered very baby tier stuff today but so would the difficulty of the enemies. I'm not just talking about the damage they do. they need to move faster and whatnot. Like the Iron Knuckles cannot be as slow as they were in the original as they would pose zero threat to a modern gamer. The enemies need a total overall in how they move and attack and whatnot.

>>740640651How does that line up with MonolithSoft working on the OoT remake? Didn't they assist with BotW and TotK too?
>>740640594TP was absolutely soulless and started the idea that Zelda was 'stale' and needed fixing because of how few good ideas it had.
>>740640686>and Ganon is a actually a future multiverse version of GanonAs silly as the idea is, it really would fit OoT way, way more than it did FFVII.
>>740640686>best i can do is a shit tier port with botw visuals and 20 fps
>>740640747It was made to formula on purpose. The games didn't change because they "got stale," TP was always the swan song for the ALttP format before the series would go on to doing other shit. This was well documented leading up to release.
they need to make fishing pole a permanent item, and give link a bass boat with a 150 yamaha. i will accept nothing less.
>>740640661RE9, Doom The Dark Ages, FFVII Rebirth. Snatcher, THPS2, Panzer Dragoon Saga.
>>740640747It was the last great game in the series before Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild sank the franchise i wish the Ocarina Remake was like Twilight but its not going to be
>>740640137Fuck off retard redditfrog poster
you faggots are so gay and so is this demake
>>740640816>for the ALttP formatOnly LttP and OoT are even like that at all.
>>740640848>RE9, Doom The Dark Ages, FFVII Rebirth. That's pretty close to what I expected.
>>740640869>Skyward Sword and Breath of the WildBoth games have far more actual original merit than TP.
>>740640661I have enjoyed all of the recent games I've played because I vet them, not sure what you're trying to prove here I suspect you're just fuming because I disliked botw, I'm not saying they're wrong in making it though, I'm saying that the game isn't for me specifically, my last 3 games though were >Ys X: Proud Nordics (enjoyed it love Ys simple as)>CK3 (I came back to play the japanese DLC after not playing any of the expansions since launch, didn't find it all that fun and then sank a bunch of time in to an HRE campaign)>Remnant 2 Co-op'd the campaign with a friend (need to go back and do the DLC at some point)
>>740640747You're talking about MMThat was the first 3D Zelda game to focus on a shitload of gimmicks and side content. Anything to distract you from the core experience.
>>740641030What modern games do you recommend?
>>740640985I know, but that was the PR. Really made it sound like all the cool openness of those two games was a fucking accident DESU
>>740640738There's probably a sub team from MS working on an EPD zelda. Main MS is working on OOT .
>>740641084You picked 3 games that are sequels to games that were popular when you were a kid. You don't like video games, you like nostalgia, and you chase that.
>>740641229You responded to someone who is clearly not me because you don't actually have a point
Tears and Age of Imprisonment specifically are already retcons/retreads of Ocarina's events and there already was the 3DS port, why the fuck would they do this again, I hope to god this is just a dumb rumor
>>740641072>That was the first 3D Zelda game to focus on a shitload of gimmicks and side content. That's what made it way better. Its 'side content' has way more imagination and substance than TP's 'main content'.
>>740641270I responded to someone who replied to me, but looking at>>740641040You play trash like post-Vita games Ys and Remnant. Your "vetting" process sucks.
>>7406413053ds is a handheld the game was made to be on a large screen and no one cares about the lore aside from unsocialized autists
How do you remake the best and most influential game of all time
>>740612105Botw is one of the ugliest fucking games they've ever made, everything is muddy and washed out and there's so much dust filter bullshit that it looks like having cataracts. It's a repulsive eyesore and it doesn't even contribute to themes kr atmosphere like the bloom in TP (which I didn't like, but makes sense as a choice)
>>740641381I play games I enjoy and I did not enjoy botw, so I'm not really seeing what has you so worked up here
>>740641449Any time someone says video games aren't for them anymore, especially when it's because they played a game that wasn't like ones they played as a kid, it's a safe bet that they don't really like video games and they mostly play trash. But if it makes you feel better, tell yourself that it's just because I like BotW and not because your sweeping statement about the medium is dumb.
>>740611704this is bait
>>740641604So you can honestly say you think that gaming is improving and moving in the right direction? I don't think you can sincerely make a statement like that and not be young enough to not remember everything before the modern live service era
I didn't like BotW but I'm enjoying Bananza, its flow is kind of like Zelda on crack. A better name would be return to monke: tard rage simulator. So while I haven't liked recent Zelda output, I haven't completely given up on Nintendo yet.
>>74061492320 fps with perfect motion clarity on even the shittiest crt since it's at 240p and not 480i, with zero input lag analogue technology and authentic flawless controller support and form factor > emulating 30 or even 60 fps on a shitty lcd (most or all of them) with soulless 4k upscale and textures on a third worlder setup
>>740641680AA is great, indies are insanely good, and there are still a few good big budget games being made even if a lot of it is gay trash.
>>740610842These remakes seem to revitalize older video games. Even though OOT is iconic and your thread will likely get a few replies, most discussion about the game has been done to death at this point. A remake will reignite interest again in OOT just like remakes for other games have like the RE games and FF7. Even if it deviates too much from the source material it will at least revive interest so why the hell not just remake it. Its not like we can stop Nintendo anyways.Video games were never sacred. They are consumer products that companies want to exploit for money.

Honestly just add light and shadow temples+whatever elseThat's all you need. Two more dungeons
>>740641771>AA is greatAA largely died with the handheld market, and the AAA live service churn just isn't for me, boiling it all down to nostalgia is just wrong though people just have different preferences, there was a time that games I liked dominated the market and now they don't, the same thing might happen to you some day you can't control the market, there's no need to work yourself up over it
>>740641867Anything new, my liege?
I can't wait. You fags clinging to the past all deserve what's about to happen.
>>740641972>boiling it all down to nostalgia is just wrongNot at all. You insisting AA is dead, because of fucking handhelds no less, makes it clear you have no idea what you're talking about. Handheld game budgets were almost never AA levels.
>>740638101>uncanny as fuck >are you pretending to like this for (You)s?Try it annon, if you played ocarina of time on a 64 or emulated it you would understand in under a minute of game play.
>>740610495It doesn't matter what the next Zelda game is or when it's coming out. /v/ is gonna bitch about it for another 5+ years

>>740641229So you have no recommendations? I never played Doom as a kid btw.
>>740642789Then go play Doom. And Quake. And all the big name fan maps.

>>740638763Faggots like you gave us the time jannies. Fuck you
>>740610495A Nintendo remake of a Nintendo retro game will always be the worst way to experience it, full stop end of story.
>>740643140I was asking for modern game recommendations.
>>740644384the best 2D Metroid game is a remake, bro
People are still mad at TP being the best 3d Zelda of the Aonuma produced trio and they didn't even want to make it.Understandable.MMfags mad because they were the black sheep and aren't special anymore because SS took the crown.Nothing needs to be said about WWSSfags are upset because despite higher rates than 8.8, everyone even the most shit eating of Nintendo fags knew Skyward Sword was paid reviews. And then that leaves the schism of OoT and LttP fags fighting each other. But me, I wish Zelda 2 got more of a chance than any other Zelda because every single Zelda since then have been rehashes and incestuous sequels so it's a bunch of inbreds slap fighting each other
>People are still mad at TP being the best 3d Zelda
Fuck you guys for making me hope. Even IF we got a remake, it'll likely be dogshit.
>>740645605why, why the fuck would you want one
>>740644875A Zelda 2 remake was effectively the 3D games in general since what made it special was focusing on more varied swordplay and platforming
>>740644875and they all fail compared to a two decade old game called alundra
>>740613189Ocarina of time remake wishlist:>More black/brown people in Hyrule castle town, its not 1998 anymore>More trans/non-binary representation with a non-binary Link option for the main character>Gender neutral pronouns for Shiek(Black) so they can truly shine as a trans icon>Player can make custom pronouns when the game starts>A more lengthy pre-sword tutorial section, at least half an hour>Link has a realistic panic attack at some point in the game to make them more relatable>Uglier character models for Malon/Ruto/Nabooru so they aren't as demoralizing for young girls>A long unskippable cameo from another nintendo franchise forced into the main story (like fox crashing his arwing in front of dodongos cavern after you open it)>More openly gay/pansexual relationships on the streets>More diverse religious practices being shown (would it kill them to show at least SOME muslims performing prayer???)Thats about it, I guess they could put in a story mode difficulty or something too, playing games is for losers
>>740645969nice spacing faglord, way to out yourself as coming from one of those dumbshit 4chan subreddits. think you'll make the frontpage with this one, retard?
>>740645712Because games peaked for me in that era and all I really have in this hobby is to see my favorite childhood games become the best versions of themselves. Whether that comes true or not is a different story. These games had heart put into them that games don't any more. But I acknowledge they had limitations back then. I just want them to become the versions I always imagined through concept art.
>>740646048I just copied the format of the post I'm replying to faggot, my sperm already made it to the front page of your moms womb
>>740642136Nothing to do with Zelda, that I know of at least. Development is slow as always.
>>740621339Botw is the least "deep" a 3d zelda game has ever been narratively and there's only like one that is even notably praiseworthy for narrative depth. Fucking braindead ape. And the puzzles aren't well designed, they're complete fucking shit because they're too easy to break and none of them can ever be difficult to appease their open world letting you do any of them in any order
>>740636584Crazy that the entire forest temple is in one webm, you sure showed everyone here
>>740640137that sucks, it restored my love of video games instead

Oot makes someone very very angry
I want Twilight Princess 2 not another Breath of the Wild
>>740641786All I remember getting out of Link's Awakening was the nu-Zelda stuff diluting search results and memes like this.
