The new character models are nice, but ultimately the environments are basically the same. Now I know the OoT remake of my dreams will likely never happen, but I implore you to take a moment to consider what's possible with the new tech. For starters, this new remake has the potential for the best implementation of the stone of agony. Secrets will be much easier to find since they could do a hotter/colder system with the more robust HD rumble that would allow more people to see the fullest extent of the game. Switch 2 games are also doing consistently well at running at high framerates as well which would be fucking phenomenal for an action game like OoT. OoT3D also fucked up the lighting in some scenes, particularly the final encounter against Ganon being WAY too bright. There's also potential for mouse control integration for aiming without having to go into 1st person. Of course they could retain the 3DS's Gyro aim as well and now you won't have to tilt the whole damn console to fucking aim. There isn't a lot wrong with OoT a lot was fixed on 3DS, but they could absolutely do some final nips and tucks with a beautiful HD makeover befitting of the original game's promotional artwork. Like I said, it's not likely to happen, but it's fun to dream. There's an opportunity to make the best video game of all time even besterer and I'm excited... assuming it's even happening. We'll know tomorrow!
