Uninstalled after realizing it's another le robots going cuh rayzee.
Lots of people. It predates alien isolation dumbass
>>740625514based schizophrenic retard
>>740625240i bought it out of some misplaced sense of nostalgia because i remembered seeing the original teaser on a message board when i was a kid and being really excited at the time, and seeing the game actually release after like 40 years when so many other games had evaporated in that time felt very nice. i played it for 5 min. i think its still installed.
>>740625240me, it was great. i didn't care for the artsy fartsy story, but desu it's a shame how little attention the game got.
this game sucks monkey butt
I not only played this, but I bought this as a pirate who never buys anything just to support the devs because they were around when I was younger. That said, the game is a huge pile of shit and I regret my purchase. This many years waiting for THAT? wow.
I bailed after like 1 hour too, what's the lore? Is it just robots going crazy or are there aliens or some shit?
Wait it finally came out after being dev abandonware for years? Is it good?
it's not about robots at all. they disappear after the first area. it's about space fungus. there's a single monster that looks like a lanky naked nude. i don't remember the details.overall it was ok, mainly carried by the atmosphere. but ridiculous dev time for the game length. probably didn't even take 3 hours to beat
>>740626442I think it's some kind of retarded 'the moon is pregnant' type story where you do an ultrasound in the 2nd half of the game. It's pretty pseudo intellectual and lame.>>740626550It came out back in December last year.>is it goodI liked the first half of the game when you're dealing with hostile robots, but thought the second half sucked ass where it gets 2deep4u lame and an actual monster starts walking around.
>>740625894what did you like about it? I found it to be another one of those "hide from monster" type of games but with the ability to stun the monster occasionally. Were there some interesting puzzles or set pieces later on? I only played for about an hour, I think
>>740626713It originally announced as a VR title , shame they didn't follow it through as it'd suit VR perfectly
I actually thought it was pretty good, like a 6/10 in a good way where you play through it in one day and feel satisfied except>A monster in the second half of the game clearly didn't function properly, it was supposed to be invisible unless you used your tool but it was just visible and easy to counter because of that.>The ending was godawful Kubrik 2deep4u bullshitSo it got reduced down to like 3/10 for me, the atmosphere is very good and it doesn't pad hours or really shove any mechanics that shouldn't be there into it, it's refreshingly straightforward.>>740627239VR would've been really good, but the ending still would have left me pissed.
>>740627174the environment design and art direction is really nice, and the digetic interface is really fun to use
>>740625240Thats not it at all retard, the robots didn't go crazy, people got infected with the fungus and the robots are dealing with the infection. Plus thats only the first half.>>740627901Not a bug. As stated in the lore, the monster can both be visible and invisible at its own will. You can even see him shifting between both if you follow him or he does it in front of you.Ending was meh tho
>>740627239>It originally announced as a VR titlevr wasn't a thing when the game was announced>>740627901>it was supposed to be invisible unless you used your tool but it was just visible and easy to counter because of that.no, it only uses its invisibility under certain circumstances. it's not supposed to be invisible all the time.
>That whole second tree room with the church music playing that we never get to go intoBut why though
>/v/ has zero taste when it comes to gamesNot surprising. Now go and make a Skyrim, Fallout, Dark Souls, Final Fantasy or Kingdom of Hearts thread for the 10000th time.
>>740625240Not worth the weight overall and got a bit too "2deep4me" near the end but I liked most of it. Second enemy was really unnerving.
No, robots are attacking because everyone in the station is infected with a fungus.Plot of the game is that there is a fungi that controls the mind of its hostsThis fungus also creates beings loosely based on its understanding of the organisms it has infected, like imperfect alternate versions of what it 'understands' humans to be.This is why Entity B is a pregnant female, ready to give birth to more of the fungus and unable to move, while Entity A is a male, its protector, who attacks people in the station because its unable to do its given role.By the end of the game you learn that the creature the fungus created, Entity A, also has feelings, as it is shown grieving the death of Entity B when it sees the screen. So when the next expedition goes to figure out what the fuck happened they find the flowers hanging from roots, which is just the fungus mimicking the plants it came in contact with.
>>740628615>So when the next expedition goes to figure out what the fuck happenedDoes the MC die in the end or something?
>>740629189IIRC, I think you're playing two different characters but the game never calls it out, so the player experience is 'I'm me the whole way.'
