I'm playing Tag Force (5Ds series) and I'm surprised how good having just one of the god cards out is. TF5 made them the "actual" versions unlike Tag Force 4 using the more anime versions and I'm fucking pissed.

Ra is then just straight up bad still. Its ATK/DEF not starting out at 0 is better, but chances are if you're rushing it out it'll end up low anyways, it can still be blocked, and you might still have shit LP when you actually get to summon it.

Slifer exposes why it's so important to actually nail down what "Anime Effects" actually means, since by nature they weren't clear in the show, and the manga is a whole other bag of tricks. The key thing being whether the Gods are unaffected by card effects or simply cannot be destroyed. How strong it actually is hinges on that fact immensely.That being said, Slifer's still too slow to be that strong of a floodgate, and even then it's limited by the whole cards-in-hand mechanic, but I could see it being banned. Again, not for being strong, but because it'd end up being one of those annoying cards that encourages the same linear play each time, and everyone just gets sick of it.
