They get paid peanuts and are asked to overhaul the entire UI only to get laid off before 16 weeks so that Microsoft doesn't have to give them benefits. So every 16 weeks, a new team would come in and have to start from scratch, resulting in a Frankenstein's monster that was inefficient, ugly, and crashed a lot. The worst part is, more and more companies are starting to do this, so expect total gaming death soon.
