Anyone else put them back in a box after use? Any other things you do to preserve them?
genuine autismyou should wear latex gloves while using it
Although i have everything (except for a PC Engine), i don't use any console pre-generation 7 anymore.I just emulate. It's at the point where emulation is excellent for those systems, and it's easier to have a single PC hooked up to a CRT that does every console from the Atari all the way up to the Gamecube, than to have 75 different systems and cable spaghetti everywhere.
>>740639046My friend does this with his Switch and it baffles me.
>>740639276I bet it’s still in pristine condition
For handhelds, screen protector and case and that's it.I've only put them in the box when I moved.
>>740639328Why would you care about the condition of the outter shell unless you plan to sell it later?
>>740639217NGMI, if you don't play your console that's in a sealed box, you're not that serious about preservation.
>>740639362Because I use it everyday, it sits in my house and is visible. Plus it helps with dust
>>740639362>Why would you care about the condition of the outter shell unless you plan to sell it later?Man you're stupid.
>>740639046why not get a case instead?

>>740639458>comparing a porsche to a bing bing wahoo nintendo machine
>>740639362>buying a used handheldi could never do that after learning about ick on eck guy
>>7406394581 that costs over 100 times more than your plastic device2 that's outdoors, you dont store your plastic device outdoors and you dont put a cover on in a garage
>>740639968A lot of people do
>>740639423If you're using it everyday, then putting it back in the box is redundant
>>740640043It doesn’t take that long and gives me a peace of mind
>>740639046Clean them at least once a weekI also buy a dust proof case but I only use it when I store them away for long periods of time
>>740640040those people are retarded
>>740640040they're just as retarded as OP. It's not """a lot""" either
>>740640087Peace of mind from what?
>>740640343I bet your house is like a fucking pig pen
>>740640402Nope I do infact clean it. What a childish response
>>740640465Your response being critical of someone taking care of their vidya was childish and fucking stupid
>>740640389from ocd and anxiety
>>740640541I’m no medicine for that
>>740639046mine is just there on my desktop, collecting dusthaven't use it in a while
>>740640992Do you not like gaming?
>>740639046Preserve for what? Fucktard? If you're not a zoomer, remember the 90's? People were still collecting VCR/VHS tapes. A full library of movies, wall to wall, ceiling to ground. What happened to those tapes. Are they still valuable now? Who the fuck wants them anyway now there's HD and beyond remastered quality digitized films?
>>740639046I put my switch in the fridge when I finish playing
>>740641069I do but I usually play on my pcnintendo consoles are only for pokemon games and that's itif I could play my gacha games on the switch, I would use it more
>>740640525Really? A 'NO U' response? What next? Call me a poopy butt? You're not taking care of the product though, you do know how much you are fucking up those plugs plugging them in and unplugging them daily right? That shit wont last, but hey, it'll look good as new
>>740639046cover them or put it on a rigged bag
>>740640541At least you admit you're not normal.
>>740641769i wasnt talking about myself
>>740639046My playstation triple is still hooked to my old bravia, but my PS2 and PSP are in their box.I didn't buy any consoles past the 7th generation, but i've been thinking about getting one of those chink handhelds to play PS1 and GBA titles at work.
>>740641135Why??
I put a thin cloth over them when I haven't used them in a while to help keep dust out. But I also have a skin condition that causes a lot of dandruff like dust. I did much more than that to preserve my controllers and it still didn't prevent them from getting stick drift so I don't care as much anymore.
