FF7's shitty plot ghosts and Xenoblade's Japanese "humor" really make it difficult to like this genre but Persona somehow doesn't fall into quite as many obnoxious writing traps and thus it makes it the JRPG franchise with the consistently best stories. You can argue the minor details like the actual story writing itself but most people don't care about that shit because it's still serviceable.
