What are your favorite Donal Duck video games?
>>740662252why Americans can't into the funny duck comics?
>>740662695Unfortunately murricans have very shit taste. They can't appreciate their best artists and instead glamor for jewish garbage like superheroes.
>>740662252quack attackdoes kingdom hearts count?
>>740662695>>740663554dead gazan and iranian children are funnier than duck comics
>>740663731Kill yourself, jew
>"inshallah! the americans don't like Donald Duck comics! I fuck goats and my own kids!">posts duck comic art from american artists>the only famous duck comic artists are americanslol
>>740662252Had a copy of the out of print Complete Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck deluxe set pop up on Amazon the other week.Supposed to arrive today. Fingers crossed. Been meaning to get an English copy for 10 years, and only found out about the Disney ban a few months ago.
>>740664036Based.I have all of Don Rosa's works both digitally (in English) and physically (in Finnish).
>>740664008>ACTUALLY, THE MONGOLIAN RAPEBABY MUTTS KNOW WHO DON ROSA IS YOU FUCKING AMERICAN INFIDELlol die for Allah
>>740664438No need to be so upset, amerimongrel.
>>740664494>If I post smug ducks at him he won't notice I'm angrylol ok Kublai
>>740664095That's sweet. I only read the Life and Times digitally so far, sometime around 2017 I think. I got my mom the German edition of it, but she never read it, and when I let my friend borrow it he lost it ;_;I really want the English Don Rosa Library, but that's prohibitively expensive nowadays. Hopefully Disney will eventually be okay with just adding a disclaimer, rather than censoring or never allowing another reprint.I could just get the German edition which is still in print, but I tend to prefer English originals for expensive purchases like this.I do pick up every German Don Rosa comic whenever I find one at a flea market though. Just had the square egg and gravity stories arrive today, can't wait to re-read those. Been well over 20 years since I did.
>>740664663I have mega folder with all the Don Rosa duck comics in English digitally if you are interested in them.https://mega.nz/folder/jdVSFCJR#_V4uIHKir82uMLcNYVO5Kg
>>740665004Thats fucking sick dude, thanks. Gonna back these up immediately.Thank you!
>>740665396No problem m8!
>>740662374Sounds about right.>>740665004.

>>740662252duck tales on the original gb
>>740665647As a kid, sure. Nowadays I just feel bad reading Don Rosa after realizing he's so insanely autistic and such an incredibly terrible person. And Barks drawing duck porn is fucked up, even furries don't sink that low usually. Same with the Papernik guys, like dude, stop drawing porn of children's comics. And the less said about that... Literal toddler alien with a crush on Donald, the better. They're all great works by incredibly talented people, but it's just the kind of thing you don't want to get too near, or dive too deep into.
>>740662252Maui Mallard and QuackShot for the Genesis.
>>740662252>>740662329>>740662374What would this be like for the nephews? Also if Donald is not being PK, then he's usually having roid rage in italian comics.
>>740665004I was NOT expecting to stumble upon such gold after randomly entering a thread about Disney ducks.Absolutely based.
>>740665647We do reallyhttps://www.donaldisme.dk/boops.htm
>>740662329
how old is scrooge now?
>>740665912>I just feel bad reading Don Rosa after realizing he's so insanely autistic and such an incredibly terrible person. In what way is Rosa a terrible person? Sure he is autistic given the extent to which he went to make a sensible continuity fanfiction out of Carl Barks duckstories and managed to build a career out of that, but I've never seen any indication of him being a terrible person.
>>740662252>>740662329>>740662374Post the gay sex
>>740665004This comic used to scare the shit out of me.
>>740666063Depends on the author.
>>740665004
>>740662374Recently I read that one of PK artist got fired for getting into a fight with the fans and I've been left with the utterly depressing realization that a fucking Donald duck comic is treated with more professionality that anything videogame related
>>740666079He was mean to us DuckTales fans!
>>740666063I think most of the time his birthday is placed in like, 1870~1880s range. In Rosa's canon he would have passed at 100 years old, while with everyone else it's up in the air.
>>740666079He used the n-word once in a private conversation in 1960.
>>740666079Go to janorohs youtube interviews. He gladly and proudly admits that in public he just pretends to be a nice person in public. He hates everyone and everything. Also he fucked sued Carl Barks who was completely weirded out by the guy, yet still pretends they had some sort of amicable relationship after Barks died. He really, really hates video games and thinks people are retarded for playing anything but the original Thief.
>>740666257
>>740666306In Rosa canon the Duck stories (that aren't life and times) generally take place in the 60ies where Scrooge is around 80 years old.
>>740665004these were probably peak Disney we will never get back...RIP: CARL and Don's career.
post at this rate I will go bankrupt in 400 years.
>>740666323Rosa never sued Carl Barks himself. He sued Bill Grandey of the Carl Barks Studio for liber.
>>740662252Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers for the SEGA Dorimukasuto
>>740666398Yep. There's that one sketch by Rosa where Donald is talking to Daisy and the nephews by Scrooge's grave, where the years added up to the old duck living up to 100 years. So I imagine if Rosa had his way (and his eyes didn't give up), he probably would've drawn stuff from those latter years.
>>740666521libel*
>>740666323>He really, really hates video games and thinks people are retarded for playing anything but the original Thief.based. he has good taste
>>740666005interesting, wish i knew danish. i guess entenhausen is duckburg
>>740666323>He gladly and proudly admits that in public he just pretends to be a nice person in public. He hates everyone and everything.Wow he's literally me!
>>740666725>i guess entenhausen is duckburgYep
>>740666608>>740666731You should go ahead and watch the interviews, he's clearly psychotic and impossible to work with, which is why he had to learn to do everything on his own. Thankfully he's got mad talents.
>>740666547It such a pity that his eyes got fucked. His fucking retina detached or someshit like that. Sounds utterly horrid.Still, the way Disney treated him had already made him consider quitting for a while. It is nice that we got the stories out of him that we did.
>>740666725It is but in German
>>740666894Yeah, I wouldn't wish shit like that to even my worst enemy. Dealing with Disney is a bitch in its own right, but health complications are always an understandable reason for quitting.
>>740666894>>740667035Disney tried to work with him, but he's completely fucking insane.
>>740666891he thinks Thief is the best game in the world and that cleanses all his sins away
>>740666005hva er feil med dansker?
>>740667061Lmao, fuck off. Disney treated him like garbage, fucking stole shit from him (the original manuscirpts and drawings he made for the comics) and marketted the stuff he made with his name without giving him any actual money for using his name in their advertizements. Then they proceeded to fucking censor some of his comics because Bombi the Zombi was deemed racist.
>>740667208We just don't know, but god bless themt. finn
>>740666547That art is famous but it's someting he drew for a fanzine and started rumors that he wanted to draw a story about the death of Scrooge but Disney didn't let him, he later clarified that isn't true and he never would want to write a story about that. But a nice detail is that Scrooge's death year in his grave is the same year Barks stopped doing his comics.
>>740667208>>740667268As a neutral third party, in my experience you're all equally strange.
>>740666894There's an interesting Rosa documentary from 2018 "The Scrooge McDuck Mystery" featuring a scene where he draws what his sight was like post-surgery. IIRC the entire image in his left eye was flipped 180° for a while, and extremely blurry. It's mostly recovered since then, but not to the point where he would be able to draw comics like he used to.Its an interesting watch, would recommend.https://youtu.be/23lNNGXRerA
>>740667263You're completely misinformed. Go watch the interviews, Don Rosa himself contradicts you.
>>740665004thanks anon
>>740667263The zombie is a Barks character and Disney stopped circulating that comic, which indeed sucks. Since Rosa's story is a direct sequel of that, he was collateral damage.
>>740667918I know. It was still pure bullshit.
For me, it's italian ducks.
>>740668087There's some Italian comics with interracial kisses and it's so weird to see dog nosed characters making out with ducks and their beaks.
>>740667208Allt.
>>740664036Did you check if it's not the censored version?
>>740662252Quackshot and it's not close
>>740668547AFAIK no censored version exists. Don Rosa will not allow redrawing of his art (he's fine with recoloring existing drawings into silhouettes, but that's impossible for some panels, or hasn't been okayed by Disney, I forget) and Disney won't allow reprints of certain volumes unless Bombie is censored, so Fantagraphics decided to stop production of the entire Don Rosa Library.
>>740666891none of that makes him a bad person though
>>740666241A boomer like that probably had a stellar salary, it was probably the excuse they were waiting for to get rid of him and hire a zoomer for 800 euros a month lmao
This is now a sexy Magica thread
>>740662374Scrooge doesn't know Donald is Pk/Paperinik.
>>740668967>AFAIK no censored version existshttps://www.duckhunt.de/censorship/d92008_c.htmlIt's always a bit nebulous which version is printed when.
>>740669483I think you're not meant to take it too literally. In Italian comics Scrooge is often on Donald's case in violent ways, and the original reason Donald became PK was to be a petty avenger towards those that wronged him, later becoming more a traditional superhero persona
Feast your eyes on this
>>740665004I clicked on this thread on a whim while slacking off at work, but I feel it would be remiss of me to pass up this opportunity. Thanks anon, I'll check these out later
>>740669282My kind of thread.
>>740669645huh, TIL. I thought the censorship attempts were limited to Bombie's depiction. It's a US import of a very recent edition of Life and Times, so guns will probably be censored then. Not the end of the world for me, but very silly nonetheless.
>>740666323There's nothing wrong with any of that.
i still think something like phantom duck (or phantoduck or similar) is the best adaptation of the name "paperinink", it even has pk as the first and last letters

>>740670749Slop or not, it makes my pp the big pp
>>740671605It's clearly not
>>740674026Could you circle a part of this in red, as a joke?
>>740665004Is this ALL of it? I was thinking checking up these, but is this missing some comics or can I just start my journey there?
>>740676460I think those are all of the ones Don Rosa made.
>>740666079>t. didn't get to try any homemade chilis
>>740665004These comics had so much soul
>>740676460>>t. didn't get to try any homemade chilisStart with "A Matter of Some Gravity" imo. It's a fun quick read and very creative. Arguably one of his best.
