I really hate that weapons, armour and then mods are all just tiered loot in that game.

download the fusion modlist from wabbajack and install over 9000 weapon and armour mods and you have an awesome game
story is shit and factions are non sensical but the dlc is the best in the series, the companions are the best in the series and modding weapons is a lot of fun
as good as new vegas for me, 9.8/10 but you have to be aware its a 'quest' game like skyrim not an rpg like vegas or the order fallouts

only way i can replay fallout 4 or any bethesda game really, is a damage modifier or level scaling mod so one enemy is dead in 1 shot but the next guy needs 5 mags of my best gun to drop isnt a thing. also, gotta have a death alternative mod that respawns you with a gear/money deduction so i dont just save scum the whole time.
usually end up bored by level 40 anyway…
