I liked Persona when I was 17 and the idea of suicidal special teenagers in a high school with a warped netherrealm seemed "deep" to me. P6 isn't even something I look forward to.

The direct was a slow montage of games that came out on other consoles 2+ years ago, and repeated footage of already announced games, and a "Title Teaser" for the one game that was rumored.

It was a rumor confirmation show, and there was nothing beyond what the rumors said, and they didn't even announce Zelda TP HD port or anything good.

So Switch 2 has nothing to look forward to other than OoT Remake which they didn't even properly show, and it's not as of upcoming games for Sony/Xbox are that exciting. Halo remake looks great but Cortana was redesigned to be a horse-faced foid. Even the new game by the Shadow of the Colossus guy is a third person shooter now.

What is there left to feel excited for when everything is the safest, most uncreative corporate slop, without even that "Japanese weeb title" to act as a safe haven? Even the aged up Sothis in Fire Emblem looks like they took an anime character and gave it a bulky jaw.

I like Persona in my 30s because I grew out of the "ew baby game is for babies" phase many years ago and I just play what I've always enjoyed.

Well, to me Persona are really stiff games where everything feels static and lifeless, and why should I spend 50 hours grinding through their slow ass linear routine when I could be playing a more dynamic game, or if it's the story, a game that has intelligent writing and not basic dialogue.
