I’ll pick it up on switch 2, mostly because I enjoy being miserable and I like having physical copies, if it’s a GKC I won’t buy it. I beat the game on pc at release and it was…okay. I don’t feel like it left a lasting impression like the original dragons dogma, but as far as gameplay goes it’s a very fun game. My biggest issue with DD2 is the main story is way too short and there isn’t enough side quests to keep you going, the lack of job boards hurts the game too despite what people claim, that passive income was really important and it kept you out there exploring. Hopefully the expansion adds more story content so it isn’t just talking to mystical bar negro 5 times and then beating the game. Also goddamn is the desert half baked, it has so little going on that I completely forgot it existed.

However, after doing this he became aware of an entity known as the Watcher (the Brine), which had created the world and set the cycle into motion because it wanted to watch the Hero fight a Dragon endlessly. (The world is basically a fictional story, with the Watcher as the audience). Despairing over this, he refuses to cede the throne to anyone and shatters the soul of any Arisen who makes it to him, casting it into the sea and preventing it from becoming a dragon. Because of this the story stops advancing properly, and the Pathfinder, an emissary of the Watcher, is sent to try and find a solution. As a stopgap measure he keeps recycling the same Dragon.This goes on for years until the present day, and pieces of shattered Arisen souls have begun to wash up on the shores of Battahl. By studying these shards Battahl becomes aware of the Cycle, and uses the Arisen souls to create staffs which can control pawns (since pawns can be controlled by Arisen, a soul works fine). Collaborating with the Queen of Vernsworth, a Battahl sorcerer named Phaesus comes up with a scheme to try and subvert the cycle, which involves creating a fake Arisen using the pawn controlling staves while they try to create something to permanently solve the Dragon problem. Meanwhile (You), the proper arisen, are supposed to be imprisoned and kept out of the way. The Pathfinder interferes to get you out of jail because he wants you to get the cycle going again, and you eventually discover this scheme. You eventually get the Godsbane and refuse to fight the Dragon, and the brine tries to destroy the world in response but (You), your pawn, and the Seneschal stop it.

Ok now the question isWhat needs to happen in this DLC for you to consider the game to be actually saved.This is probably what needs immediate fixing from what i've gathered.>Enemy variety, the same fucking goblin, ogre, merman and harpy fucking everywhere.>Dogshit classes like the Trickster that feel like some tech demo bullshit and every other class trying to do some gimmicky shit that feels like ass to play until you can actually play the 2 fun classes>Story being a shitshow for 90% of the game until the final part where maybe something is happening before the whole "plot twist" happens and everything is railroaded until the very end>the horrible traversal and backtracking, 10 mins of running out of stamina to get to places while fighting the same fucking wolf packGod i hope they fix all of this, the game has so much potential to be good.
