Hitman becoming a live service slop game is one of the true tragedies of the modern industry
you don't have to play it. I never touched Elusive targets or Freelancer shit. just normal missions
Hitman gon skrrt and hit the dab like Wiz Khalifa
Playing through the entire hitman campaign after I beat 007 First Light and getting silent assassin on every level. Seethe faggot OP
>>740715797>campaignThe campaign has nothing to do with elusive targets
>>740715054well that's capitalism for you
>>740715054wrong>I liked the eminiem mapThe broken glass mirror portals into the house to traverse the map was pure kino.
>>740715054think of how much time and effort they could put into making Hitman 4 actually good if they stopped doing this constant petty cashgrab shit.
>>740715054No one has any anger left for this subject after a decade
>available for a full monthweren't elusive in the beginning only a week? I guess even the normalfags don't like fomo
>>740715054this is actually the correct way of doing live service, give us more single player content, no mmo trash
>REEEEE I HAVE FOMO GIVE ME THE SLOP I MUST CONSOOM IT ALLLLLActual skill issue.
>>740715464I was gonna do the same but over time I did the ET shit for the suits then never touch them again. Not touched freelancer.Thing is the game has shit loads f content that you could play it infinitely if you play it to complete the challenges. Each mission has shit loads, then you have ET arcade and featured contracts. Obviously contracts are endless UGC shit. Then after all that they have added these paid for ETs and freelancer.
you're like 10 years late on this, they really have gone off the rails with these stupid celebrity bullshit ETs thoughthe Sean Bean one was a fun novelty in hitman 2
>>740717369M8 all they’re doing is making small edits to previously made maps. It really doesn’t take a long time to do. And hitman WOA fans like it, it means more content for us and more fun. Seethe maybe?
>>740715054Funny enough this isn't even new content, this is just a reskin of the Conner McGregor mission. Hearing Black and Yellow blasted over Sgail was certainly something. Overall I can't hate the celebrity missions because you can tell ioi is at least trying something new, and they're free so whatever.
>>740717976
>>740718096After the Conor McGregor snafu they've made it so the celebrity ET DLCs are only available for one month. Miss it and it's gone forever. They had to extend it from the original week in order to fit in Steam's listing requirements and to maximize revenue.
>>740720019>Funny enough this isn't even new content, this is just a reskin of the Conner McGregor mission. not true bro
>>740720173what do you mean gone forever? you can buy them
>>740720284Not anymore. The old ones are still available, but any that came out after the Conor McGregor one have been delisted after their free month is done in order to avoid having to remove them in shame when the celebrity gets caught doing something socially irresponsible. Like the Eminem and Bruce Lee ones can no longer be purchased.
>>740720380dude what?https://store.steampowered.com/app/1659040/HITMAN_World_of_Assassination/it's the opposite, the ones before conor mcgregor were never on the steam store
>>740720186you're literally saving the same dude from being beaten to death by Connor/Wiz
i stopped playing ETs the moment I finished getting all of the unlocks, way before they started doing thisif they added more cosmetic versions of items that already exist to be "unlocks" I simply don't care. The only reason I have any cosmetics in WoA is because they gave me deluxe edition for free when the steam launch of Hitman 3 was an unmitigated disaster
>>740720597Undying (Sean Bean), Drop (Dimitri Vegas), Splitter (Jean-Claude Van Damme), and Banker (Mads Mikkelsen) are still available, but Bruce Lee and Eminem, the two most recent, are gone forever, just like the Conor McGregor one.
>>740720804what the fuck why? but is the wiz kalifa gonna get delisted too?
>>740720804Patient Zero Requiem (Milla Jovovich) was the most recent one and is still available. The Bruce Lee one came back recently when they reran the ET. His estate is super anal about this stuff so that's why it was removed. The Eminem one was removed because to license his music in perpetuity would cost IOI a billion dollars. If they ever rerun it, it will be available for purchase again.>>740721091Probably for the same reasons as Eminem. Music licenses are bullshit expensive.
>>740720804it's probably licensing stuff, not because they are worried about the celebs doing icky things that's why the Sean Bean one was unavailable for years
>>740720173>in order to fit in Steam's listing requirements and to maximize revenueof course, that makes sensethanks for the explanationanyone not playing with the peacock launcher deserves everything they get
>>740721161It's IOI being greedy cunts. Eminem is supposed to come back later this year.
>>740721161>>740720804if you buy them and they delist them, do you still have them?
I dislike the fomo aspect of it and I despise the freelance endless grind, best you can do is hope they put actual effort in to 4 and don't just decide to fully shift the business model, not hopeful though
>>740721274newfag here, what's the peacock launcher?
>>740721454there probably won't be a hitman game for a long time, they already teased that they are doing more 007
>>740721091>what the fuck why?It is literally fomo mode, you either buy in when it's out to keep it (still time gated if you fuck up an attempt even if you buy the paid version btw because fuck you) or you miss out for a year+ it's gacha tactics in a single player game
>>740721538here comes the airplane, open upretards like you don't deserve this but I'm potentially hurting those kikes with this so whatever
>>740721412Yes, even the Conor McGregor one (which is never ever coming back even though he was found to be innocent)
>>740720019oh that makes sense, i was wandering why wiz khalifa was doing mma
>>740721538Unlocks everything except the paid DLCs and gets rid of IOI's bullshit like requiring an Internet connection or having cooldowns on ETs. And while it doesn't unlock the paid DLCs, it does allow you to access all the celebrity ETs (even Conor McGregor's).Kind of annoying to set up because you need it to run a server locally on your PC, but you can use a script to automate it on game launch:https://thepeacockproject.org/
>>740721601>long timeIt's probably going to be 2028/2029, they've laid out their roadmap at the beginning of the year, co-op is getting announced for WoA at some point this year then after that they'll announce the next hitman, no doubt they'll do more 007 but it's more likely they spread releases across different series from now on
i really like nu-hitman but I can see how it would be a major turnoff for people just when you see what the main menu looks like and the first thing it does when you boot the game is give you a popup with a monthly roadmap that looks like it belongs in a f2p game
>>740722213>co-op is getting announced for WoA at some point this yearIt got announced almost a full year ago. They're really dragging their heals. They also announced a macOS version at the same time and then released it with absolutely no announcement like a month ago.
>>740722419is the spade tattoo real? LOL
>>740722419By announced I meant they'll likely give an actual release date, I can't see them dragging on it too much longer now that they're off of 007 they have to of started swapping to other projects
>>740716708What kind of giant faggot liked the eminem shit?
>>740722923>>740716708do these celebrity contracts add new maps?
>>740715464Freelancer was dimes af though. It was actually exactly what I wanted for a Hitman game since Blood Money.
is content like this worth going through? i'm still enjoying completing story challenges
>>740723802No, they all reuse old ones, but usually with big changes, more like how Patient Zero did it, less like how the extra missions in 2/3 did things.
>>740715464I would much rather have the time they spent on live service bullshit go towards putting out small maps as dlc. Hitman 2 had dlc, 3 does not, and I think it's precisely because they were too busy with the live service stuff.
I usally hate live service game shit, but i don't mind this. It's a tiny amount of the content overall, the game(s) have otherwise a ton of content that isn't live service
>game still crashes if your FPS goes too high>they’ve said literally nothing about this>now it’s illegal to poison stuff even as a food service disguise>and picking a non-ICA stash disconnects youThis game is falling apart and they don’t care
>>740726498Why should they fomo whales will buy the missions packs regardless
>>740728919how you gonna get them to buy shit if the game crashes on them
Absolution is better
>>740729501This. WoA is the WORST Hitman game of all time.
There should be a "realistic" speedrun category. Sending bombs across the map and panic shooting to manipulate guard reactions/run right through security checkpoints is gay as fuck.
>>740729501Absolution is an incredibly fun and tightly designed stealth action tps that got unjustly shit on because people genuinely could NOT handle sexy bdsm nuns being in the game. I mean people REALLY had big meltdowns about the nuns specifically and I never understood why
>>740729501>See angry bald man with a head like a bloated potatoIs that...>He starts rubbing the back of his headAhhh that's gonna bother me all day...
