I have now successfully beaten A10 on one (1) character. Defect, naturally. Surprisingly not with a status deck but with a echo form / feral deck that was able to power through the double bosses with plenty of Holograms cycling zero cost bullshit en masse. Getting into a mindset of saving resources for the second boss was the hardest part, after the previous nine ascensions spent training myself to finish the first boss with an empty tank. "Build around the boss" is also harder when you've got two on deck, of course, but in practice this has felt mostly like planning Aeonglass Status Mitigation + whatever other bullshit for the second boss. The calculation of hit points also feels materially different than A9, on the same token, because the second boss makes me feel as though I need a really big pool going in. Chip damage already becomes very punishing on A9, but A10 REALLY demands an airtight block engine to deal with Test Subject's ghost turns, Queen spergouts, etc all stacking up to maximum. It still feels like I'm playing a different game when I watch a youtube video of baalarlord or whomever effortlessly smashing an A10 run and he'll be making materially different decisions than I would have. Learning to value card draw more was important, for example, but I still have a poor heuristic grasp on what cards are good in any situation. And I still don't really understand Regent/Necro well enough to properly enjoy them.
