I am forgotten
>>
It had a good two months
>>
>>740750443
more like two weeks lol
>>
im burnt the fuck out honestly. all these little updates do nothing to make me interested again, not even treasure hunting or anything, not even the new mini games interest me which the prizes are probably just lamps and dolls. it needs a proper dlc and story fixes/content, ng+, tons of new gear at the very least, not new pets or mounts, not tweaks to reblockading or any of that shit
>>
It's a weird feeling. This game was not released in early access and yet my attitude towards it is the same as Palworld. I'll play it again when they release 1.0.
>>
And yet, you keep spamming threads. Curious.
>>
Why would I play a game that people play for hundreds of hours and forget about instantly, literal slop
>>
>>740751153
It's one of those weird games that's not live service but they update it like one.
>>
For a purely single player game its clearly not forgotten though. 20k players on steam rn, thats higher than any other purely SP game rn i think
>>
>>740750223
I still got to play it I’m just waiting it’s like 20 bucks. No way I’m paying 70 dollars for single player black desert
>>
With all of the updates they just convinced me to not bother playing it until it’s done.
>>
>>740750223
Is it cracked yet?
>>
>>740750223
that's because the korean shills stopped shilling it and are now shilling that stellar blade sequel
>>
>>740750223
I stopped because some other game came out and I never returned. I still have a very high opinion of it and want to get beyond the first area, but it’s really long.
>>
>>740751464
There are currently 25k people playing Skyrim, a 15-year-old single player game.
>>
>>740750223
it's hard to get a fair assessment on this game
is it just another ubislop gookslop for mindless open world collectible retards
is it le cruzay juggleslop for action fans
is it an actual adventure game with meaningful exploration, puzzles and discoveries
it looks like it's trying to be dragon's dogma, ass creed, botw, elden ring, all at once, with kitchen sink approach instead of focused design
>>
I'll be back when they add character creation tbdesu

With a decent dynamic action combat system. Not quite on the level of a proper character action game, but better than these types of games usually are at combat. The Ubisoft comparison only holds water if you describe every open world game that way.

>>
>>740753867
It's just contentslop, where you just mindlessly repeat the same actions over and over to fill out a checklist. It's cool that I finally have a game to look forward to testing out with new gpus, I can run RR but I have to upscale the shit out of the game to get a decent frame rate so it's blurry. Playing it at native resolution looks insanely good but it'll be years before I have a gpu for that and I look forward to it.

I love how for the past decade people were constantly bitching about getting a game without mtx or dlc so that they can endlessly explore and create their own adventures. Then this game comes out and all people can do is complain that they have to actually play the game instead of follow a single path/story. We really only do deserve corridor slop that's approved by IGN with pre-order dlcs and paid boosts.

It sounds like a game for the employed honestly, there's no huge overarching objective that propels you to get things done, ie not a lot that gives you a sense of purpose that just ends up being a surrogate job, just varied combinations of small fun activities?
I was a neet some time ago and realized now that when your time is precious that is a great kind of game, one you can play a long time when you're free but it's also ok in short periods without making you feel bad about not achieving some milestone.

No, it has a very extensive main quest that consists of almost 170 individual quests with hours worth of cutscenes, voice acting and narrative setpieces.

That's great actually, but i was thinking of something more along the lines of carrot on a stick mechanics with unlocks and such, completely different game i know but in Factorio for example, you can always see what you will unlock next so you get motivated to finish whatever you're doing asap for the novelty, seems to me this game doesn't do this as much.

I wish there were more reason to use your plethora of moves and ways to weave them into each other. Like why would I ever commit to the F charge attack when it's probably going to get blocked anyway/does only about one hit's worth of damage compared to the flurry I get from holding RM for 1 second.
>>

Maybe the most shilled game I've ever seen. Gotta hand it to those gooks, all our wars in asia taught them saturation bombing as well as propaganda.
>>
>>740758462
Skill issue. Light and kicks are very useful for extending combos. Light lets you go into charged stab>swift stab which puts bosses into a stunned state. The light attack finisher + abyss gear deal a shitload of damage and restores over a bar of stamina so you can just loop certain combos for a lot longer than holding down heavy attack. Swift stab with sword and shield puts you behind the enemy so a lotnof bosses you can hold down light attack and then swift stab when you see an attack coming out. Kick breaks through shields and guard for free and you can get a free pump kick after a light or a regular kick. You can attack relentlessly if you know what you're doing.
>>

Character creator status?
>>
>>740758556
this has been the stock argument against >>740758462's sentiment for decades, but i don't think it's ever once been true

This is a video game. Actions need to have a purpose. What you're doing is already highly abstracted and detached from reality, if your brain starts realizing there's no real reason to be doing it in the first place then you're going to get pulled out of it
>>
>>740759235
Anon's argument is shit because RMB gers blocked too and you have a plethora of moves to break through blocks.
>>
>>740759235
1x force palm>1xheavy>Light attack finisher uses less stamina and the finisher replenishes most of the spirit you use from force palm. It also starts you off with a gap closer that breaks guard. Holding heavy attack is a noob trap.

You're actually just too stupid to understand what I said and the argument. "Pulled out of it" just means your dopamine drip dried up because you are a braindead zombie that has to be told what to do to find purpose. There is a "real reason" to create fun, but you don't know how because you're a sub-human.

We plan to roll these updates out gradually from June through September, and we're preparing them to be enjoyable both for those who have spent many hours in Pywel and for those who are just beginning their journey. Your feedback will continue to be an important reference throughout development, so please continue to share it with us.

Our updates to Pywel do not end with the content and features listed below. We are also hard at work on an upcoming DLC for Crimson Desert, and while we cannot share the details just yet, we are preparing it as a meaningful addition to your journey. We will share more details in the future, so stay tuned.

Story Improvements
We have been carefully reviewing the story-related feedback you have shared with us. To further strengthen the narrative flow of Kliff’s journey and to make it more engaging, we are working to refine and improve the coherence of key scenes. We hope these improvements will offer something new even for those who have already experienced Pywel.

Re-Blockade Update
Changes are planned for Re-Blockade. A new phase is being developed to make the flow before and after a blockade more natural, along with ways to defend certain strongholds from the threat of invasion. Rewards will also be improved to make the process of liberating strongholds feel more rewarding.

New Combat Content
A new combat-focused content will be added, allowing players to prove their true strength as a Greymane. More details will be shared in the future.

Damiane & Oongka Gameplay Improvements
Damiane and Oongka’s overall gameplay experience will be improved. Various adjustments will be made so that all three playable characters can get a share of the spotlight.

Quality of Life Improvements for Non-Combat Content
We will continue making improvements to non-combat content, such as trading and farming, to address areas that players have found inconvenient.

I'm excited to see what the story improvements will be like. The only part of the story that I thought was too unclear was the whole Crow Caller/Hexe Marie arc and Oongka showing up out of nowhere to save Kliff in Chapter 11.

Aside from that, what I would like would be more playable sections for Oongka and Damiane throughout the story (Ideally a designated DLC for both of them) and some more screentime for the villains. You barely see Caliborn and Bastier throughout the game.

I keep getting my shit pushed in whenever there's a boss battle in this game and I'm not sure if it's because I'm playing on Hard or if I'm just dogshit at the game or both.
I'm only up to Chapter V in the main storyline. Is there any kind of specific armor or whatever I should get to help me survive or do I just need to pour more skills into my health pool at this point?
>>
>>740765770
If the boss isn't attacking use force palm to gap close and complete the combo here.>>740759569
You can follow it up with charged stab as any form of light attack that lands successfully puts you in a charges state and press light during charged stab to swift stab. Do not that while it deals a shitton of stagger it costs just as much stamina tonl pull off. If you're being attacked just hold block and move to a better position. Sometimes you can just strage behind the boss and he'll miss. If you see any pauses between attacks you can shield bash to interrupt the boss's combo strings and you can just attack back. Some bosses will grapple you but they're fairly telegraghed. Don't underestimate gears that work on your light attack finishers. They deal lots of damage and stagger and they also restore stamina on it. A perfect side step dodge (not the roll) lets you follow up with a light attack finisher. You can restore a lot of stamina in a pinch with a perfect side step dodge into light attack.

Youvan find abyss gears from some of the back alley vendors or get their recipes from the expeditions you send your workers on. There's a back alley vendor in every major city so keep an eye out. You can also get them from bosses. I'd focus on maxxing out attack speed and pumping up stamina. Stamina is your second health bar as far as blocking is concerned.
The youtube meta of stacking gears that work on heavy attacks will work on trash mobs but against actual bosses they drain stamina so fast you're basically left defenseless unless you are really, really good at perfect dodging. There are also gears that add effects to your kick unarmed/kick finisher and they're quite underrated. With sword and shield your light attack finisher occurs on the third step of your combo chain amd since the kick finisher occurs on the fourth you can follow up a light attack finisher with a kick finisher and it will deal a good amount of damage and restore stamina too. However you can't really follow up a kick finisher outside of dodging or using heavy attack so it's risky against bosses.

On downed bosses it's actually much better to loop heavy>light>light>kick 3 times (2 if you don't havr maxed attack speed) and then kick>jump for the special rko grapple than it is to use turning slash. You go neutral in stamina cost and restore a shitton of spirit. The boss will also be downed and have a chunk of stagger from the grapple.
>>

I should probably practice some of these combos on these new boss replay things they've added recently.

>>
>>740768519
These are very basic combos that will get you through most bosses, but if you want to go curahyzee you can mix in 2h attacks via quickswap. 2h's evasive slash on kliff is a launcher that's one of the few ways he can start aerial combos. The other is turning slash with wind element + pillar of wind abyss gear, but you won't unlock the gear until later. Kliff can launch regular enemies with his throw but only Oongka can throw larger bosses outside of the kick>jump rko.

It's a good time waster. 6 or 7/10. On one hand, the main quest is slow and boring, you give no fuck whatsoever to either the characters or the story, most quests are fetch quests at best, and the fucking horse dialogues will make you want to kill yourself. On the other hand, there is a LOT of stuff to do, though not a lot of interesting things to do.

Any positive in this game is counterbalanced by a negative, but not so much that the positive doesn't exist (and vice versa). The controls are very stiff but some combo are cool. Double jump into triple jump into the air followed by gliding is pretty cool, but the hot air balloons don't work. Map is gigantic, but some combats are hour long slugfest where you need to kill 1,500 one hit point enemies to complete a random quest.

I've got 100+ hours in and I firmly believe it's a good time waster, in the sense it's there, it makes you waste your time, make you forget you're losing your time, occasionally.

Eh, guess I'll wait for CD DLC and DokeV, then.

I don't read anything with more than 9 words.

>Get the first or second major camp upgrade where we have stuff like a horse wagon area and whatnot now
>Suddenly all these NPC Greymanes show up and now there are literal children hanging out around the place too
I thought that the Greymanes were just supposed to be this, like, wandering mercenary swords-for-hire kind of group, but I guess instead they're an entire culture or something?

im still playing, got 198h in steam so far.
unfortunatly im dogshit at the combat and only win because of infinite pills and food, still having fun tho

cant fathom why people waste their time about other people playing a game they dont like

the game suffers from an identity crisis since there was a bunch of dev leads yanking the codemonkeys around
I do hope the musou and the puzzle devs won the spot for it, those were the best portions of the game

Yeah, they're one of the tribes of Pailune. Not all of them are mercenaries. You'll learn more about that once you get there.

is that outfit the only one with panties? I thought the valkyrie looking one had them as well
>>
>>740763635
maybe for literal barrels and other miscellaneous shit, not even bosses with the same name use the same model
>>740771226
absolutely not, it's a korean mmo riddled with microtransaction shit, combat is nice, but everything feels like a scam for you to get the battle pass
the fact crimson desert doesn't have a mtx shop is a goddamn miracle
>>
>>740772194
look up a combo video or something, combat is the best part of the game, fuck doing these radiant bounties, by the way

Honestly true. We were all waiting for DD2 content and now we got it. Thank god too, CD was such a disappointment I charged back that streaming pile of shit.
>>
>>740772893
don't lie faggot. You never played it.
>>
>>740757015
That's because the game is so shallow that the surface is the only thing that can be scratched.
>>
>>740773080
I bet you thought that comment was clever.
>>
>>740772893
crimson desert scratched the itch that DD2 failed to reach, I'd say the dlc will fix things, but I'm not that optimistic
>>
>>740773143
No, I only care about true statements. It literally copies 5 games, and does nothing in any of them well.

>>740772680
>radiant bounties
wait do the bounties never end or something? Ive been clearing them off as I get them. is there no point?
>>
>>740773513
they do end, but they feel like shitty repeatable ones
there's about 5 side quests that are fun and not fetch shit, sadly
