good to know, OP

at any rate, did you know Zowie mice are nice? they work well for shooters and stuff. For anything else, I prefer ergonomic ones. They're so comfortable, so comfortable...
>>
I've been using the G305 for years, recently bought a replacement since the original started double clicking. I also recently managed to get a G309 for $30. Its supposed to serve as an updated version of the G305 but I'm not really sold on it yet. Its nice that it has hybrid/optical switches but aside from that it feels worse in the hand than the G305 and MSRPs for $90 which is fucking crazy. All this said, I quite like the G305 and will probably always have one on hand. Might start looking into some of these Chinese mice.

love me 12 keys,
love me macros,
'ate me wireless, not a latency thing, just don't like charging,
simple as

i would jump ship to literally any other MMO mouse...
if i could find a wired one that wasn't some fucked up circle, and had all 12 keys (i would settle for 10, but most of them stop at 9) or absolutely littered with RGBlt, or made for tiny hands.
But every other MMO mouse i've tried had some weird ergonomics that make it basically impossible to pick up the mouse without mushing the buttons, while the naga sits in my palm if i lift it.

Why don't mouses last? Why does the middle-click or the scroll wheel or whatever stop working properly 6 months to a 1 year after you buy it? Actually good place to ask.
I recently started a new job. Estimating for a construction company. It involves scrolling in and out of architectural drawings rapidly and constantly. The shitty Lenovo mouse they gave me when I started is already wearing a fucking ridge into my finger. I'm allowed to order a reasonably priced mouse but I don't know what to get.
I figure I need something with relatively soft clicks and a smooth scroll. Variable DPI would be nice for swapping from precise measurements to panning across the plans.
Any ideas? Most regular business mice aren't really designed for constant use. Just enough so the boomers can click on emails.

I took cheap chink mouse pill as well. Now I can't go back to using wired and heavy mouse.

The Razer logo is almost invisible IRL and it doesn't have any flashy RBG lights, which is normally what bothers me the most.

do they still have problems with their firmware? I know a couple of the builds were losing tracking.

logi is like 4 years behind chinks

I've got mine in january this year and never had tracking issues.
Granted I'm using the basic bitch bundle that is just the a7 v2 ultra with the dongle that comes with it.
I don't care about 8k HZ polling rate

they dont have any issues
just don't buy the cheapest versions - which save on everything, including worse controller and poor QC - even if they have good sensor and same body they cut corners elsewhere

Do not get a M720
if you try to grip the mouse hard in a moment of extreme gaming and accidentally set off the hidden panel button it will pop up window toggle menu and pop you out of game
annoying AF

op1 8k v2

Using a glorious wireless with the pop out batteries for easier charging and it's fucking shit in wireless mode, so much delay.
If you use a cord it's perfectly fine and pretty comfortable.
Makes me mad.

it was a bad firmware build that was pushed out, the actual mice are fine but everyone had to go back a version, just asking if that was a one off thing.

G400s gang, salute!
Mine is like 14 now, a few years ago it started double clicking, I opened the switch, straightened the copper contacts and put everything back and have been working fine to this day.
absolute beast considering the abuse I have been putting it through all those years playing RTS.

thousands of hours of abuse on these three
>6x razer deathadder: great but breaks so fast it's a terrible buy
>1x Logi G Pro: good but has weird issues sometimes, won't connect on windows occasionally
>4x Zowie EC wired: excellent and each has lasted so many years I've given a couple away. seems they only make a wireless version now
