Me on the left. Ocarina of Time 2026 on the right.
my left or your left
>Uh, you better not murder people.
>>740766306just a quiet little remake, you might even call it boring.
>no foreskins allowed in this town
>>740766306I still don't understand what Rambo did wrong. They call it "the land of the free", but you can't even go for a walk?
>>740770102Why do you immediately think of dicks? That being said why doesn't Nintendo just make a new, actually good Zelda game?
>>740770146Im antisemite and proud
>>740770126there's a deleted scene where he sets up a tent on the sidewalk and is haranguing people for money.
>>740770168Do all of your fellow antisemites think of dick this much? And are you actually 100 percent sure that you might not just ve gay?
>>740770126Watch the prequel. The guy's a fucking psychopath and the cop could smell it on him.
>>740770257Youre a kike lmao
>>740769897The proverbial left.
>>740770787So stage right?
>>740770126The sheriff knew he was trouble and tried to politely escort him out of town since he didn't want the local population getting involved with whatever shit Rambo was going to pull. Rambo then immediately proved the sheriff right by going psycho and murdering or seriously injuring multiple locals. He then later went and battled alongside Al Qaeda, which just proved the sheriff to be even more right to want to get rid of him.
>>740770257dicks are coolwhole dicks are the coolest
>>740770146Because the bad zelda games are selling 20 times better than the old good ones?
>>740770126He ate a meal. A succulent chinese meal.
>>740770126He was making a move, sheriff had to get it on.
>>740770126OH SAY CAN'T YOU SEE
>>740772639I'd beat the shit ouf of that fat pig.
>>740770126The book is better in that they're both mega-autists who refuse to back down. They both recognise multiple times that shit is escalating beyond anything that is reasonable but are physically incapable of not taking it further. Makes it clear that both are in the wrong rather than Rambo being a good boy who dindu nuffin like the movie.
>>740770126The sheriff was a korean war veteran who was jealous of vietnam veterans like Rambo because the vietnam war got a lot more media attention while the korean war wasn't really reported on when it was happening because no one wanted to hear about more war a few years after WW2.Also vietnam vets were generally disliked at the time, they were all seen as drug-addicted war criminals who lost the US a war.
>>740773186then you'd get shot
>>740766306OoT is no Brian Dennehy.
>>740772639lol what the fuck is going on here
>>740770126The homeless make for shit neighbors, you haven't figured this out yet?
>>740770126>when you realize the guy on the right is a gook war vet It's like someone from WWII getting mad at another from WWI.
>>740770126He knew Rambo was secretly there to record sound effects for SEGA to use in their arcade games.
>>740770990He doesn't kill anyone in the first film tho. No, throwing a rock at a helicopter so that a gunhappy lunatic that hangs precariously from the side of it falls to his death doesn't count.
>>740775930He kills three dogs and thats worse.
>>740775930He nearly kills Horatio and that one dude gets his knees blown out with a pungi stick trap.
>first movie: PTSD drama about a broken war vet>second movie: DUUUUUUUUUUUDE MACHINE GUN KILLING LET'S GOOOOOOOO LET'S MOW DOWN 70 REDSHIRTS WITH EXPLOSIONS IN THE BACKGROUND YEEEEEHAAAAAAWWhat did they mean by this.
>>740776487Movies were being sloppified for mass appeal before vidya was even a thing.
>>740776026>nooo muh assault doggerinos :(((((
>>740776072Shouldn't have fucked with him in the first place
>>740776620You see, this is why the sheriff didn't want guys like you or Rambo in his town.
>>740772639>white center road markingsnice try, euroshit. not america.
>>740776487>>first movie: PTSD drama about a broken war vetSort of but not really. It's more about how terribly the Vietnam War vets were treated on their return. His treatment does trigger his PTSD but it never would have happened if he wasn't treated so poorly. There's supposed to be a contrast in that the sheriff is a war vet himself but not from the Vietnam War and so he is held in high regard by the community but even he has nothing but contempt for Rambo despite the fact they're both war vets.
>>740766306In the books Rambo killed some random kids in a park for seemingly no reason and got away with it because he's a drifter. He was a psycho. The cop, while an asshole, was actually right about everything.
>>740775289his prejudice aside, he gave Rambo the explicit instruction to clear out and even gave him a ride to the edge of town. Rambo proceeded to turn around and walk back to town. all the while being flighty and not asking questions. officers have a duty to protect their community, supposedly, and this shady outsider gave a ton of reasonable doubt to believe he was a danger to the community. once he was in the station he repeatedly resists the deputies trying to procesd him, to the point they have to physically restrain him. silent belligerence is still belligerence. even still, right up until he starts beating the shit out of the officers in the station the worst that was going to happen to him was a ticket and fine for trespassing. the movie is a commentary on how Vietnam vets were mistreated by everybody; Rambo clearly has some severe PTSD and is basically a mentally ill drifter left to wander the streets, where people who aren't qualified to deal with a shellshocked veteran are forced to try and deal with him. And normal people obviously aren't suited for that. Nobody is the actual villain, it's just normal people trying and failing to deal with something beyond their comprehension.
>>740776774>and so he is held in high regard by the communityNah, his hangup is that he fought in the Korean War and that veterans of that war were mostly forgotten while veterans of WW2 were celebrated and those of Vietnam were vilified. He was held in high regard by the community because he was a decent man who upheld the law, but he was still upset that his fellow Korean veterans were forgotten and misplaced that anger onto Rambo.
>>740777236not answering questions*
>>740770126He had friends in the service and knew Rambo was a psycho who had killed hundreds of people
>>740776954Yeah, book Rambo is complete different to movie Rambo. In the movie only one person dies and it's the asshole cop and it's his own fault. In the book Rambo slaughters everyone including completely innocent people. Trautman kills Rambo in the book after Rambo kills Teasle. Rambo is actually pissed he managed to take out Teasle because he wanted to go out in a blaze of glory. As I recall, Teasle's last thoughts before he dies is happiness over the fact he's not going to have to deal with his wife anymore.
>>740777236actually, lemme rephrase that. there is a villain; the United States government. for taking young men and throwing them into a war they don't understand and expecting them to want to fight to the death whilst not even having the respect to call it a 'war' (special expeditionary mission, or whatever the term was), totally fucking up the actual war through a series of diplomatic blunders before proceeding to blame the soldiers for failing to win a war they weren't allowed to win, and then once those men were nice and broken, throwing them into the gutter without a single concern for their wellbeing. proper decommissioning? GI bill? fuck em, niggers and single mothers need food stamps.
>>740777236>silent belligerence is still belligerence.It's not, it's the 5th A
>>740777561>As I recall, Teasle's last thoughts before he dies is happiness over the fact he's not going to have to deal with his wife anymore.Based boomer hating his wife.
>>740776741People who stand their ground in face of wanton police brutality?
>>740777679More like nutjobs who are looking for any excuse to cause a situation which will descend into extreme violence.
>>740777679The "police brutality" in question was giving Rambo a free haircut
>>740777754>modern Rambo would be sovereign citizen
>>740777634first off, the constitution only applies on a federal level, not on the county level like a local sheriff. you're thinking of Miranda rights. second, you have the right to remain silent and the cops have a right to detain you for it. the purpose of Miranda rights is to protect you in the subsequent court case, to provide you with an argument against the prosecution (I was wrongly detained, I answered no questions, they have nothing on me). it does not mean "I plead the fifth" is a magic spell that lets you walk out of a police station.
>>740775706jaywalking
>>740777679To be fair, the sheriff does admit Rambo's treatment by the police was a problem but if there is a problem prisoners go to the sheriff and not on vigilante rampages.
>>740777634>>740777907which is why I said, right up until Rambo breaks out of the station, the only actual crime he could've potentially been charged with was trespassing loitering and maybe jaywalking. If a cop tells you to leave, you're obliged to leave. basic common sense. they have the legal authority to make that request, even if you're not actually doing anything explicitly wrong. Cops are imbued with simple powers like that so that they can better police the community they're in charge of. he doesn't know you, especially if you don't answer basic questions about yourself, so he has a moral obligation to make a decision on whether you can be trusted there or not. it's the sort of basic beat power cops have had for centuries because it enables them to actually enforce the law when necessary.
>>740778216>even if you're not actually doing anything explicitly wrongRambo was doing things explicitly wrong. Back in those days, i.e. the good old days, vagrancy was a crime.
>>740777236>Nobody is the actual villainThe real villain is LBJ/Nixon, maaan
>>740778393I corrected myself >>740777589
>>740778125>If there's a problem with the sheriff's treatment of you>you complain to the sheriff, not fight back
>>740776487Back then it was the audience who wanted the slop. The Weinstein fat jew types made Terminator, Jurassic park, Alien, Back to the future possible, because the audience wanted that. This happened to Rocky too. Even at its worst it was still better than the best of what we have now. Now the boomer jews are out of the picture and we have then gen X, millenials jews who are the seth rogen, jack black archetypes, making family guy capeshit or a24 liberal arts white guilt.
>>740778350It wasn't exactly a crime it was just you could be chased out for being a bum. Rambo however was suffering through severe PTSD due to combat and was just tripping balls the whole nine-yards whenever he was confronted, not a good mix.
>>740777236>his prejudice aside, he gave Rambo the explicit instruction to clear out and even gave him a ride to the edge of town. Rambo proceeded to turn around and walk back to town. all the while being flighty and not asking questionsBro shut up. There is literally 0 logic behind your statement. Police cannot ban people from entering a town for no reason. Police cannot 'escort' you out of town. Police cannot stop you from going back into town. He was objectively wrong and everything is his fault.
>>740778680>the sheriff's treatment of youThere's no indication the sheriff was rough with Rambo. In fact, the film does strongly imply there's just one bad cop and the rest of them wouldn't be so bad if not for him being around.
>>740778393JFK started the war, and Nixon ended it. But everyone gives JFK a free pass and blames Nixon for his screwups, somehow.
Why do Americans hate walking so much?
>>740778867okay now imagine Rambo was a thug nigger covered in tattoos and gold grilles. would your opinion change?you're letting your ingrained hatred of the cops cloud your judgement to the point you're starting to argue like a Jew lawyer. "nobody is illegal, man"
>>740778926That's because JFK was handsome and Nixon was ugly.
>>740772639>Excuse me sir, walking is not allowed. You don't have a car? That's a cime. The fuck?
>>740779060the difference between illegal and an army veteran is two different things, last time I checked an army vet was an US citizen with rights.
>>740778926It's funny that Nixon is routinely denounced as this terrible villain by the Democrats but if you look at what he actually did, e.g. ended the Vietnam War, ended the nuclear arms race, created the EPA and expanded environmental protection, significantly expanded social welfare programs, etc., etc. the Democrats should love him.
>>740779189the democrats do not like good things happening to Americans, they are Southern Dems the KKK, they quite literally hate anything to deal with actual Americanism and only want Communism and Socialism if it benefits the Jews in a way they don't have to work. Democrats all of them are just greedy kikes and their pet projects.
>>740775706Arresting a dangerous criminal for the horrific crime of taking a walk.
>>740779152notice how I didn't say "illegal alien", I said " thug nigger". Dequavious Jackson was born in Compton California and is a legal citizen from birth.
>>740779060>okay now imagine Rambo was a thug nigger covered in tattoos and gold grilles. would your opinion change? No? Not at all? If some black guy was just fucking WALKING and the cops tried to force him out of town I'd call them racist and say they're completely out of line. You cannot make any argument. Rambo didn't do anything. From what I understand the books and original cut of the film DID make him do things that were worth getting kicked out of town (panhandling, setting up tents, etc). In the actual film we saw the guy WALKS INTO TOWN and is IMMEDIATELY harassed by a cop.
>>740779189He told criminals and leftists that they weren't allowed to burn down cities. That far outweighs anything he gave leftists when it comes to how they measure things.
>>740779317NTA but he's probably responding to the last sentence of your post. Without that your opinion becomes a lot more indefensible.
>>740779189>Nixon is routinely denounced as this terrible villain by the DemocratsThere are republicans that uphold Nixon's honor? Here I was thinking that nobody liked corruption.
>>740778926>everyone gives JFK a free passNot everyone, apparently. I can think of at least one person that certainly didn't. Probably a lot more too that I couldn't name
>>740777930>>740779316I got cited for talking a walk in a park after sunset lmao. Went to trial and actually won. Argued there was no signs or gate at the park entrance. Judge sided with me because he liked me but said "you're wrong lol." Next week they put up a sign and a gate. The law is a joke in this country.
>>740779576What? Nixon wasn't corrupt, far from it. He was a paranoid weirdo, and his crime was spying on his opponents because he was terrified of communism. He wasn't trying to enrich himself.Warren G. Harding is a much better example of genuine corruption, and every single president starting with Reagan and going through Obama and Trump has done way more to enrich themselves than Nixon did.
>>740770837Idk it feels askew, like im not sitting at 12 o'clock.
>>740779576>Here I was thinking that nobody liked corruption. They only don't like it when it's the other side. For example, what Obama did with Trump was far, far, far worse than what Nixon had to resign over but Democrats applaud Obama for those illegal actions because it was done against Trump so it's okay.
>>740779796Grover Cleveland was also pretty shit.
>>740779576the funny thing is Nixon is held up as the most criminal president when the worst thing he actually did was turn a blind eye to his aide wiretapping a Democrat office phone. it reminds me of how Clinton was considered a disgusting pervert for fucking an intern, meanwhile it was an open secret that JFK was pumping one of the most famous movie stars of the 50s for the entirety of his presidency and nobody gave a shit
>>740779796>because he was terrified of communismAnd history has proven him correct.
>>740779967>it reminds me of how Clinton was considered a disgusting pervert for fucking an intern, meanwhile it was an open secret that JFK was pumping one of the most famous movie stars of the 50s for the entirety of his presidency and nobody gave a shitPower imbalance. Even in the 90s they were aware of it. (and even in the 90s I felt it was silly when it was the intern who initiated.)
>>740780036>you can't fuck someone if they're richer or poorer than youwhat silly classism.
>>740779796>and his crime was spying on his opponents>Nixon wasn't corrupt, far from it.I somehow doubt you'd be equally forgiving of someone planting bugs and illegally surveilling political rivals if they didn't align with you politically. One thing I'll say for Nixon is that he did well in opening up China.
>>740779728Signs, signsEverywhere is signsBlocking out the sceneryBreaking my mindDo this, don't do thatCan't you read the sign?
>>740779967>Clinton was considered a disgusting pervert for fucking an internNo, it was considered funny. Clinton was already well known to be a philanderer and nobody really cared. Especially given nobody likes his wife.Ken Starr, the man who investigated Clinton for perjury over the Lewinsky debacle, was much, much more despised than Clinton.
>>740780181Corruption implies subverting your civic duties for personal gain. Nixon was certainly powerhungry, but he didn't do what he did in order to enrich himself. He was genuinely a paranoid nutter who thought that everyone was out to get him and so encouraged his aides to wiretap people who he thought were his enemies. Ironically, this caused his downfall, but "corrupt" isn't the word to describe it imo.
>>740776756How's it feel, to be retarded?https://youtu.be/qI-9AKIo5mI
>>740777670
>>740779950Grover Cleveland knocked up some lady, but I don't think he did anything bad beyond that. At least, he didn't do anything that his contemporaries wouldn't have done.
>>740776954>>740777561>>740779342>>740773390It's been a hot minute since I read First Blood, but while I recall some of what you mention, I don't remember Rambo setting up a tent, much less killing kids in a park like he's Jason Voorhees.
>>740780909Rambo literally lynched a poor lil boy who was just getting his life together + his friend.....
>>740781210>he killed two muggersbased>and beat up a guy who kept cutting in linegigabased
>>740780181Nixon himself did not approve their actions. They did it, told him about it after, and he decided that since they already did it, he'd cover for them. He then lied and everything as you know it happened. It is fair to say that what Nixon did was wrong, but the context is important. It is the difference between knowingly buying something stolen vs buying something and finding out LATER it was stolen but refusing to return it.
>>740781210>bolstered pistolIs that a typo, or some /k/ term I don't know?
>>740781576Should be obvious what this means since "bolster" is such a common word in vidya, especially in games with tanks(aggro takers not vehicles)
>>740781739I don't think the Sheriff used two animal skins and four hunks of iron to craft himself an upgraded pistol.
>>740766306retarded fucking movie, he was clearly a bad guy
>>740766306>We were in this bar in Saigon, and this kid comes up. >This kid's carrying a shoe-shine box, and he says, uh, "Shine, please! Shine!" and I said no and he kept asking, "yeah!" and Joey said "yeah." >And, I went to get a couple beers, and the, the box is wired, and he opened up the box, fucking blew his body all over the place. >And he's laying there and he's fucking screaming. >There's pieces of him all over me [yanks off his bandolier] like this, I guess, and I'm trying to pull them off, you know? >And my friend is all over me! >I've got blood and everything and I'm trying to hold him together and put him together and his fucking insides keep coming out and nobody would help! >No one helped! The entire monologue and emotional breakdown scene was Stallone's idea. Before that they just wanted to have Rambo killed like the book. Stallone used to have such potential to be a serious actor, until he let Hollywood just turn him into a action star for dumb movies just because he was fit.
>>740766306considering the shit mutts did in vietnam he should have been burned alive at the town square
>>740770126The cop was a Korean War veteran and had issues with Vietnam War veterans acting like they suffered more and how they got the spotlight while Korean War veterans were forgotten. He also received a Distinguished Service Cross (the 2nd highest honor a soldier in the United States Military can receive) while John Rambo received a Medal of Honor (the highest honor a soldier in the United States Military can receive) so that soured him a bit too. You can see his war medals in his office.
>>740783430>until he let Hollywood just turn him into a action star for dumb movies just because he was fitTo be fair, that was actually a pioneering thing. The likes of Stallone and Schwarzenegger basically invented the "tough guy" action film genre. It wasn't really a thing before these guys came along. Action films prior to them were mostly about suave and intelligent characters. He was apparently initially quite proud of it because he saw it as a somewhat innovative form of physical acting. He did grow to resent the it though because the films became increasingly more dumb and he got typecast.
>>740777236Well, thank God we live in the age of drone warfare so that we can mow down people from behind our computers
>>740783430>>And, I went to get a couple beers, and the, the box is wired, and he opened up the box, fucking blew his body all over the place.>>And he's laying there and he's fucking screaming.>>There's pieces of him all over me [yanks off his bandolier] like this, I guess, and I'm trying to pull them off, you know?>>And my friend is all over me!Why didn't Dr. Manhattan save them?
>back when being sperg was cool
>>740783430
>>740772639qrd?
>>740770126The guy is called Rambo, he knew he was going to try to do some Rambo shit.
>>740772639>Sir, this is for your own security or you are going to be killed by Jigsaw for jaywalking and we can't arrest him because technically he didn't kill anyone.
>>740772505You dumb motherfucker!
>>740785119Dr. Manhattan's whole thing is that despite being a nearly omnipotent and omniscient being, he still sees himself bound by fate and casualty and arguably doesn't have free will.He didn't save Rambo's buddy because that's just how the world is.
>>740776487Men who are turned into killing machines by Uncle Sam, Mother Russia etc. can only thrive as killing machines in a military or as mercenaries, otherwise they turn into the homeless or criminals in civilian life
>>740766306>Go out for a Walk in America>Get arrestedLand of the free? Yeah right.
>>740790783the movie doesnt show a nice mutt tradition of throwing trash at pedestrian walking by the highway
>>740766306damn
>>740789719Big Boss started his mercenary companies for genuine ideological reasons (the Boss's Dream), not because of some half-assed "I'M A SOLDIER AND I CANT EVER NOT BE A SOLDIER" platitude
