Pokemon is kind of not good. No one has anything good to say about these games besides childhood nostalgia and challenge runs, which are self imposed and not actually the game's mechanics. You could use the same challenge rules on any jarpig and recreate the high stakes feeling. The series acts as a base for meta games imposed on it and that's obviously not good

Why is nostalgia bad? If external factors make me enjoy a game more then I enjoy the game more. It's just stupid reddit genius logic, we are not robots or emotionless husks and the entire point of playing games is to provide enjoyment.
