Honestly they need to go the DMC route as opposed to the Dark Soul slop they did with the first one. When I bought Stellar Blade I was expecting a fast paced Character Action game combat not Soul Slop parry BS. The game was still fine but the combat mechanic felt at odds with the type of game it was. You can definitely have parry mechanics in a DMC style game but it needs to be instant and fluid not slow and clunky. Stellar Blade combat was too rigid for the type of game it was.

They weren't created to be independent thinkers or have personalities. Suddenly Eve is thrust into a situation where she has to actually live for the first time and react to other people like a normal person, and it doesn't come naturally to her. That's not the focus of the story though so it never really gets developed beyond basic dialogue scenes

They didn't give the characters a chance to breath when it mattered while also doing jackshit with them when there was time.
