All properly setting up the grand final, capitalizing on everything that was build up since the beginning of the game, properly unveiling information as you go, even from elements you could see from the very beginning but couldn't grasp just yet. The World Tree being the most in-your-face one.And even if you added the 2 or 3 chapters I consider are missing from XC3, it probably wouldn't help much, when Origin is shit in the first place. To completely fix it, you'd have to make it feel organic, like the World Tree was: it always had a presence, everywhere, anytime, since the opening shots of the game. Ending with you climbing on top of it. And of course it had to go that way. Now THIS is organic. Meanwhile, Origin just feels badly tackled out from nowhere, works on plot convenience metal, too much information restrained about it, some of which restrained for the DLC, on top of being monotonous as fuck to explore. Ever wondered why they made sure we got out of the World Tree at times? Such a simple thing. Well, this is the difference with a godly designed game and a boring one. XC2 had the intelligence of breaking the monotony on top of making us know what happens in the outside at the same time. It's the little thingsHow we went from this masterpiece of final building in 2, to this crap in 3, I’ll never understand.

Nothing interesting happens with this dynamic until the plot needs him to save the party. X&Y are characters set up to be more than they are and when they die they don't even get a cutscene. XC3 does this a lot. It sets up an idea and then doesn't do much with it. There is a bit of "what it means to be human" with the baby shit but for some reason we can't talk about character relations even when they are fucking obvious (Nia and Mio specifically). So really it just for Eunie to say "WHAT ABOUT THE BABIES". Eunie is one of the only characters who has something interesting with the whole "10yr life" shit but its handwaved away in Chapter 5. Life and death is explored a bit but the quest in XC2 with the 80s style blade does a better job of this theme.

I fully expect the same out of Genesis, with it being a simulation and the characters having an existential crisis of "i'm not real, nothing matters"

The clip for 2 didn't show anything different, but the one for 3 had this upgrade screen.Of note is the first item which lets you add Mio to your party, which means you don't start with the full base roster, so it'll likely work similar to the Nopon roguelike mode where you only start with a single character.
