2018 was an alright game in a vacuum but its a shitty reboot to the entire franchise because it completely skimmed over its previous games. I preface and say btw I played every GoW game except the PSP ones What happens after GoW3? How is Kratos alive?Why is he up north in the first place?I can continue but you get the idea. Nothing is answered at all, instead, you open up the game, you are Kratos, you have a son, your wife is dead and you have to bury her ashes.Now that Kratos wiped out all Greece, he has to deal with his fucked up trauma & mind of losing his family, and watching him slowly realize that he fucked over everybody and everything for pretty much nothing would've been a cool experience.But instead however all of that is skipped with Faye. She is a mystical witch who is so wise, she somehow manages fixes all of Kratos's issues and makes him a (better) man, she is so intelligent she sees into the future and predicts everything as seen in 2018, and also she is so powerful she could face Thor in a 1v1 and hold her own against Kratos.In all her scenes, Kratos is made to look like a fool, grunting and being silent, while she belittles him. Literally every Faye scene we had so far shows that Faye is a huge Mary Sue and has no real characterization. I can already tell that this entire game Faye's presentation will obviously be tainted by Californian writing and she'll be empowered with no flaws or whatever nonsense. It's so painfully obvious I could bet my net worth into it.cont.

contSee what makes these scenes so ironic is that there is no point to her, or any of her scenes, because all in all Kratos is a shitty father, so the 'dad simulator' meme isn't entirely accurate because hes a terrible dad who could never even teach or train his son properly. He massacred an entire pantheon but he couldn't keep his son from sneaking out to meet with his biggest enemy lmao.The entirety of Ragnarok was also plagued by the terrible writing as you had millenias old norse gods speaking like new york niggers and you had to deal with an entire section of 2 retarded teenage kids doing stupid shit. I still cant fathom as to how people stood there and unironically played through this shit and liked it.So genuinely how do you expect any self respecting individual to open up this slop and enjoy it. Its not even the female protag issue for me, its all the other stuff that torment it because Ragnarok was that bad and all of its problems will continue here.My respects & condolences to any old GOW fans who had to watch their favourite franchise get absolutely and completely castrated, erased, and massacred.
