I'm all for each NPC having different opinions on the player's deeds and their own little personality quirks. But I don't see this being much of a pivotal step forward in NPC simulation. If you scanned Henry Cavill into a game and he looked like the goddamn Emprah himself nobody would be upset, he and everyone else would think its badass. However, if you slightly change the features of female characters you're going to get a huge litany of people claiming that she was photoshopped to make her lips poutier and her hips wider and cleavage greater and give her perfect makeup etc... we saw a bit of it from thew Eve/Tachy discussions with Stellar Blade that the character' face, hair, and body is 'optimized' even versus the model. In fact, the only character who seemed to evade this sort of discussion for better or worse was the inverse on the male side, when >RE9 Leongot a huge bunch of 'discourse' over how good he looked and how 'optimally' he was allowed to sorta kinda age etc.

A common theme I’ve seen with this style of woke, multicultural, and sassy millennial girl writing is an out of touch social system. The dialogue options aren’t just different from what I would choose, but misleading too. Then the npcs will even react in a way that’s inconsistent. It’s like they decided that A=friendly, B=neutral (mean), C=mean, but the options will be like A=agreed, B=crazy right?, C=maybe it’s for the best?. Anyway, doesn’t bode well for a more complex reputation. I think it will be heavy handed nonsense
