I don't know if people are upset about flanderization of their character or whatever but in the context of just having a fun game to play through I don't think you can go wrong with MP3. I enjoyed the time trials, also entry and exit wounds are fucking gruesome

>>740788645jankinothey built the slow mo mechanic and tried to build and action game around it with mixed results, jumping in slow mo is counter intuitive because more often than not you'll end up as a sitting duck as payne recovers from the animation, so for gaming purposes you'll end up using only the slow mo without dive, which is kind of the whole purpose of the game, you'll see what I mean when you play it, still, it's fun to mess around with. Besides the janky gameplay it has the same charm as deus ex with it's low poly aesthetic and excellent sound designidk anything about mp3

Everything else was great and had a ton of detail put into it. MP had levels like the restaurant, the car park, then docks, Cold Steel, the mob mansion, all were bland or went on far to long.

Two of the best stories in gaming and a tryhard attempt at recapturing the writing in a jarring setting with unskippable cutscenes and techno music. I like all 3 of them but they really should have brought Sam Lake back at LEAST to edit their script

The game expects you to make headshots otherwise you're going to be wasting a fuck ton of ammo just to take one guy down. The second game's story is more grimy and traditional noir-like and it's a bit more 'mean-spirited' if that makes sense, but the gameplay is improved from the first one a lot. The aiming in particular is much better than the first. The game is also more difficult than MP1, you're basically expected to have aced through the first. The enemies react more quickly and accurately to the point where quicksaving after every encounter is pretty much mandatory. My favorite part is the construction zone when you play as Mona. The third game can only be described as if a Breaking Bad loving redditor made and wrote the game. It just ruins the tone and atmosphere in just about every way. I would say just skip the third one.
