If you aren't full of shit, I will say that I have battled with the concern of buying one, however, that was because I believed that all of the switch 2 games were "key only" meaning I thought that all of the games for the switch two were not loaded on the cart.However, I have learned that the Nintendo exclusive games such as Donkey Kong and Mario Kart are fully loaded on the cartridges, meaning there is a good chance that OoT and Starfox will be fully loaded as well. I would say we should get switches only if we truly care about Nintendo exclusives, and not give a shit too much if the third party games are not fully on the carts.

The only reason to get a switch 2 is to play switch 1 games at acceptable frame rates and resolutions, there’s basically no games for it. If you don’t have a switch it’s not a bad purchase but please do not buy it new, always buy Nintendo products second hand, Nintendo gouges the fuck out of their customers. Never buy from the E shop for that matter.

I have been extremely judgemental on the switch 2. I know it's wrong to buy one. I know Nintendo are fucking greedier than ever. However, I know I will give in the moment a super smash bros comes out for it, if it ever does. I am also extremely weak to StarFox, regardless if it's another rehash. the switch 2 is overpriced but now everything else is even more overpricedas a piece of hardware it feels very good and in terms of specs it's honestly good enoughboost mode makes the value of it shoot up massively, if you have literally any switch games you still want to play, or even 3rd party stuff you want to play in bed or wherever at actually good looking resolution and framerates (outside a few exceptions, like the 3d mario collection doesn't let you use it because it's bundled with Galaxy which uses the touch screen, I wish you could just disable it anyway but Nintendo is allergic to allowing anything that could make any part of a game not work, it's probably the same reason they don't let you globally remap the switch online legacy controllers outside the emulators, which is gay) but basically everything works, and the online controllers are really nice, I've been playing RE4 in bed with the wireless gamecube controller in boost mode and it is really fun and feels great and that's not even an exclusive, AND i got it for sale for ten bucksthe eshop does have reasonable sales if you're willing to wait, and a lot of really nice things to play on a handheld like neogeo arcade ports that are actually good and way better than shit like the metal slug wii anthology which had dogshit input lag and forced you to play with a sideways wiimote instead of literally whatever controller you want, i can even plug in my 10+ year old arcade stick with a 20ish dollar converterit's a very versatile system and since it's a backwards compatible iteration it already has a great library, even the switch online catalogue is fleshed out enough to be worth considering along with playing online and not having to fuck with an emulator, and somehow it's still way cheaper than what those faggots Sony and Microsoft charge while offering not even half of the value of Nintendo's back catalogueand they're also the only company still making fun exclusives that aren't bloated AAA shit

I can personally recommend DKB, Air Riders, and MKW, and with a massive caveat Star Fox, going off the demo. Besides that I'm looking forward to Splatoon, FE, Xenoblade, and OoT, but none of those are in a playable state so I can't comment on if they're any fun.

>>740805367I wasn't planning on buying it, but things happened and ended up getting one, it was such a pleasant surprise, the games look great on handheld and better on docked mode, MKW well it's Mario Kart so there's not much to say, the open world mode is kinda pointless but it is overall fun, some switch paid upgrades were a letdown, like Jamboree, while others are nice but too small like Forgotten land, I'm neutral on BotW/totk as they are "free" with online+, Xenoblade BCX doesn't add anything other than graphical upgrades same with Metroid Prime 4B, Air Riders is fun and looks gorgeous but there's not much content, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is big on content and is quite fun, waiting for Star Fox, played the demo and well, it is SF64 HD, but it is one of my favorite games so I know it will be good.

Kirby Air Riders, Pokopia, DK Bananza, Tomodachi Life, they're all really solid 9/10 games for what they are, but they're also no more than what they are. Every modern game seems to have a little crafting, a little customization, a little of this, a little of that, these games are very highly specific genres. I've had friends buy a Switch 2 then get disappointed when I dug in to find that they don't enjoy racing games, platformers, or life simulations. Go figure. If you're a Nintendo fan, just buy it already. I play my Switch 2 every day, sometimes longform, sometimes I just pull out a retro controller and breeze through a virtual title playing with friends. In any case you deserve it. I'm not sure if you've looked outside lately but society is as ever fucked. We live in the golden era of escapism, get lost and never come back.
