Is it possible to piece together the plot with all the info we have? Presumably Sora is trying to find his way home, but he might be told by someone there is no way home, or even that he’s outright dead. But that’s just one part of it. Yozora and everything surrounding him are questionable. Theoretically someone is in Yozora’s body, we just don’t know who. Maybe the guy we think is Sigurd? I’ve seen some say that Yozora’s group will be working against the keyblade wielders because they’ve brought darkness into Quadratum. But if they brought darkness, then they should’ve brought light too, right?
I expect fun. Kind of hoping they lock in with cutscenes a little more after the recent creative studios shakeup with the teams. They can level up a lot of the polish on the game with more members of the team working on it after FF7R finishes

Watching analysis videos of the new trailer really brings me back to the waiting for KH3 times. There’s something more tantalizing about this kinda stuff when information is intentionally limited.
Sqeenix hasn't been good since the PS2. It's been running on brand recognition just like Pokemon. There's nobody left that know how to make anything decent. Bravely Default was an outlier and is actually very good.

The relationship between Sora and Kairi is meant to be somewhat bittersweet. They were close at first, but they're steadily drifting apart. It's not their fault. Kairi spent the entire first game in a coma. After leaving Destiny Islands, the amount of contact Sora and Kairi had with each other in that game was maybe a few minutes. Yes, Kairi's heart was inside Sora, but look at the ending. The second they reunite, they're split apart as Sora seeks out Riku.In KH2, Sora once again spends very little time with Kairi. The game ends with Sora making it back to the Destiny Islands, but it's implied that it's not really that long before he sets off to Yen Sid's place for the Mark of Mastery. Afterwards, they don't really reunite again until deep into KH3.Kairi's changed. She's not really the same person Sora knew back at the beginning of KH1. Riku's changed too, his experiences having transformed him. Sora's changed, but not to the same extent as Kairi and Riku. He spent an entire year in a coma. His horizons have deepened, he's become more mature and introspective, but the fundamental elements that make him who he is have never changed. He still reacts with joy and wonder when he sees new worlds. In contrast, Riku's lost that initial drive to see new worlds, the drive he originally had back in the first game. Kairi's lost the the mischieovousness she had as a child as well. They're both growing up, while circumstances keep preventing Sora from reaching adulthood. He's becoming Peter Pan. Maybe not as immature and selfish as Peter, but he's being prevented from physically and spiritually aging. And the more games progress, the more Kairi and Riku leave Sora behind.How much will Riku and Kairi changed by the time Sora leaves Quadratum? From Kairi's perspective, over two years have passed since the initial attack on the Destiny Islands. From Sora's perspective, it's been a few months.

i'm just glad that we dont need to know who these other characters are beforehand because they have zero personal relationship to sora, I think it'll be easy to get the gist of things compared to KH3 where it was entirely expected that you're in the deep end already. like yeah that info will be useful but these characters are going to need to talk about themselves to sora with only a small handful of returning ones and the new plot will be hopefully explained to sora as wellim hoping we dont get the shitty pixar shit they've been putting out, but i imagine the worlds that Nomura want to add will involve death, so Star Wars makes sense since we already know its in, but I honestly havent kept up with enough Disney anymore to know what else would be relevant
