the newest one is the best onethe voice acting adds a lot. it's the kind where the dub is far superior to the sub because the various english accents inform you of a character's class and status within the worldwhile it's missing content from wotl, that stuff was basically fan fiction. furthermore, most of the side content in any version of tactics is kind of mediocre compared to the stellar main storythe technical improvements aren't anything spectacular, but are nice anyway. having a fastforward button accessible from the start of the game is a major quality of life improvement

I played Ivalice Chronicles as a first timer. It was fine but I dropped it pretty far into the game.I don't think it warranted such a high price and honestly was disappointed as a big FF fan and a big strategy game fan. This game seems overhyped by the community, I've been hearing for nearly 3 decades that FFT is a top-tier game, better than most of the mainline series. I wouldn't go that far
