>80 dollars for Fire Emblem

But Nintendo fans specifically promised me that this wasn't going to happen. When Yoshi released you all said Nintendo was lowering the price of digital, not raising the price of physical. Nintendo fans are liars?
>>
>Inb4 four routes cope
and $40 DLC
>>

>Digital IS cheaper
Where's the lie?
>>
Tendies will latch onto the flimsiest excuse that their favorite billion dollar corporation totally isn't fucking them in the ass.

If you dont buy from a retailer that prices matches with the digital version its on you actually.

>Mario Kart can't sell for shit at $80 standalone
Fire Emblem doesn't stand a goddamn chance at $80, especially not without being assisted by a strong lineup of more popular games yet. Nintendo actually got gaslit by Smash representation into thinking FE is just as popular as Mario/Pokemon.
>>

This nigga doesn't remember Fates
>>
>>740881704

Nintendo has repeatedly said its decided on a game-by-game basis. Pay attention.
>>

And they're out of their fucking minds for thinking FE will get away with it.
>>

Damn, so they're finally going to start lowering the prices of their old games? Nice.
>>
>>740883359
NTA, but Fates at least had the appearance of cheapness at the outset by releasing as two separate games, before asking for all the DLC and discounting the other game digitally after you beat it. Plus we were in arguable good economic times, if you ignored the still-ongoing housing crisis and Obamacare in general. FW's asking for $80 up-front, and it's outright telling you "Hey, we're doing the exact same thing Three Houses did, if you value your time, skip us, else we sure as shit have $80 of value in things to do in-game at least in here."
>>
>>740881704
Who cares about the physical price? What does it cost digitally?
>>

>He doesn't remember the collector's edition
>>
>>740884301
I remember that shit selling out stupid quickly and somehow managing to nail a copy by watching Best Buy's site like a hawk, yeah. Nintendo underprints the shit out if Collector's Editions on purpose to drive hype when they sell out, what's your point?

Yoshi went back up to full price as soon as it released, it's only $70 as a preorder so you have to commit to buying the game before seeing a single review or you're out $10.

It's FOMO shit. And it works because I've got Star Fox and Splatoon Raiders preordered.
>>
>>740886713
I wanted to buy it from walmart since it seems to have free release date shipping unlike amazon but it refuses to let me make an account.

That's not true because they have practically released a game every month so far it just feels like they haven't released anything because every release is from a different series with a different genre so it's feels like they aren't releasing enough games. The only switch 2 games I have bought are mario kart and bananza because I have no interest in the other games that have released so far.

Mario Kart World has sold 14 million copies. That is more than any 9th generation exclusive game to date (games that are only on PS5/Xbox Series, including console multiplats that are only on PS5/Xbox Series, no PC). So... low quality bait. If you expand 9th gen multiplat for exclusive games that are also on PC that number goes to 25 million. Here are the top 4 selling games for 9th generation only (no PS4/Xbox One versions):
- Black Myth Wukong (25 Million)
- Spider-Man 2 (11 Million)
- FFXVI (3.5 Million)
- Astrobot (2 Million)

Things are looking really grim for GTA6 if this is the best 9th gen only games can pull (it is only launching on PS5/Xbox Series). Fire Emblem might even match sales for GTA6 considering Switch 2 has 3x the attach rate of PS5/Xbox Series for software sales. I don't think that is likely but Switch Sports Resort is definitely going to be higher than GTA6 and hopefully that will force Rockstar to immediately port to PC since their investors will literally lose their fucking minds when sales don't meat expectations (they can't, only 68 million 9th gen consoles exist excluding Switch 2).
>>
All PS5 and Xbox Series X/S games are 70 dollars MSRP. It is not surprising that a first party Switch 2 physical release would also be 70 dollars. Moving goalposts makes you look like a hook-nosed rat who squirms when they're losing an argument.

Fixed prices have always been retarded. Nintendo should be able to charge 75 dollars if they think that's fair. The Japanese have always had a better grasp on value when pricing their games in the domestic market. Long RPGS and strategy games cost more than shorter action games you could beat in a couple sittings. It just makes sense.

New Onimusha thankfully had a demo. It looked awesome but after playing it goddamn is it retro. Combat and stuff is cool but there is ZERO interactivity. An entirely static world and that is a buzz kill. There is like one type of pot and barrel you can break and that's really it. Sword doesn't leave marks when you hit not player objects/the world. Just clips through everything. I just can't do it but I'm happy you have a lot of good games to play.
Control Resonant I'm weirdly excited for. Steam on day one from Remedy and it is one of my favorite genres of games? Sign me the fuck up.
>>
>>740911941
I don't want to judge an entire game solely on just the demo, i did have issues with it of course.
But i think it the same case with Pragmata, the demo felt vey basic and barebones but the full game turns out to be pretty complex and harder.
So might be the same case here with Onimusha.

The only 9th gen exclusive game that sold more was also on PC and that is Wukong. These are facts man. No one buys games in 9th gen. The only games that do well release on PC and last gen consoles. GTA6 isn't releasing on PC or last gen consoles. The exception to the rule is Switch (1) but that is last gen so it doesn't count, but Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold 80 million games. You should go check on game sales for 9th gen. It is genuinely GRIM. Taketwo is in for a shock this fall. Nintendo however will be ontop for software sales like always. Shit like Pokopia sold 5 fucking million. I dunno who plays that slop but it is a lot of fucking people.
If Nintendo wised up and started selling on PC they'd erase the competition. Wish they would because their consoles are crazy underpowered.

Now this is prime copium. You know they are going to say "ackshually the swarthoids weren't so bad after all!!!!"
I'll apologize if it turns out otherwise (it won't)

>Fire Emblem Three Houses (Mortgaged to Buy This Game) is going to outsell GTA6
>"facts"
You do know a huge chunk of the Switch 2's higher attach rate that you tout came from bundles that were sold for the first six months of the system's life because of a functional price cut for MKW/Legends ZA and not from separate full-price game releases, right?

Didn't Spiderman 2 eventually reach like 17 mil?
>If Nintendo wised up and started selling on PC they'd erase the competition.
They'll only do that if selling hardware becomes completely untenable. They love the walled garden too much. Even if they made their own PC storefront just being on PC would be seen to them as forfeiting an incredible amount of control over their games.

Not funny + how fucking destitute are you?

Another game i wont buy at release then.

Ive been buying all Nintendos games that are over 70-90$ at big sales or used.

Even those shit Game key cards.

I found 1 store that sold SF6 and Bravely default for 9$ each on sale. So i bought them.

>illiterate
Grim. I never said it would, it is just possible and I said it was unlikely due to how niche the genre is. Clearly stated that GTA6 will sell very, very, very poorly since it is a 9th gen exclusive without a PC port. And it is a fact that it will. All you need to do is look at 9th gen game sales. They're lower than extremely niche shit from 8th gen. Reading comprehension is a valuable skill anon. Give it a try.

>Didn't Spiderman 2 eventually reach like 17 mil?
Nope, Sony's financial packet leaked. Only 11 million to date. The number you're quoting is from Alinea Analytics which is a market research firm that tracks sentiment, polls retailers, pulls vague numbers from quarterly earnings reports, etc and makes educated guesses for investors. They're usually about 30% off in either direction as are most organizations that do this kind of market research.

If $80 is a significant amount of money to you you should not be buying vidya in the first place lol

You thought Sony was the devil when they introduced $70.

Fire Emblem getting on par with fucking Grand Theft Auto???

That is some sick copium you got there, can I have some?
>>
Crazy choice for this game. They’re obviously being more aggressive with price variance with Star Fox and Splatoon Raiders, but this being an $80 physical game is concerning that it will be the norm. But it is full of content, so maybe that’s how they justify it?

>>740886987
just return them unopened if reviews suck

No matter how does one spin this, it will never be as bad as Ubisoft deciding to wait until September 2013 to release Rayman Legends as a simultaneous multiplatform game
Not only the original February launch as a Wii U game was in a month with literally no other AAA releases happening, September's high profile games easily smurf all the ones you've listed up there (just so you know, GTA V launched that month)

Even if your skin is white, you are both mentally and spiritually brown for playing Fire Emblem.

I don't know who you're talking about but I'm not them.
>>740917362
Oh? Should I have bought a gun and ball game instead?
>>
>>740881704
It's a direct sequel to the best selling Fire Emblem game ever, that's probably why Nintendo thinks everyone is going to line up to pay an extra premium for it.
>>
>>740883359
Fates was 40. Not THAT many people bought both for revshit

Literally every Fire Emblem since Awakening has gotten DLC so yeah, that's pretty much a given.

It has been three years since Engage, but I wouldn't expect someone who doesn't play the series to know that. Hope you enjoy your *looks at watch* fourth version of Starfox 64.

DEI tax you can't sell all black characters for profit easily

He's mostly talking about relative values. It's like when some faggot tells you that "Zelda Ocarina of Time or Turok was $60 in 1998" and posts an ad and doesn't post what how much an apartment rental or food cost (or how easy it was to get a non-shit job).

Why does the players army return to the monastery after every chapter in 3H?
It makes sense in part 1, but why in part 2? Wouldn't it be more practical to keep the army in the newly claimed territory? To set up there?
>>
>>740892025
So? Video games don't cost anything to mass-produce. Physical should be $20 at most, and digital should be 99 cents.
>>
>>740918371
The game devs didn't think this through. Except for the one time in CF where you have a base camp instead of the monastery.
>>
>>740918779
I headcanon that most of their army camps at the claimed territory while Byleth's squad returns to the monastery to rest, and to protect it.
>>
>>740883306
>Hardcore dedicated fanbase
>Not spending top dollar
Bruh, FE and Xenoblade fans are the EXACT kind of autists that would spend premium prices. Let's not kid ourselves. That's why both of them are going to have high value collectors editions
