Speaking of Yink, I think having to distinguish between Young Link and Adult forced them to add more masculinity and maturity to the design than they otherwise might have, which was a positive. I've always found it noticable that Twilight Princess Link, despite the attempt at recreating OoT Adult Link, failed to present with the same sense of physicality and masculinity in his power. Sure in game he is wrestling goats and gorons, but there's something about his design that never got that across once he had his shirt back on. Also shout out to the MM concept art for Adult Link.
