How big of a presence is Gaster actually gonna have in Deltarune? Personally I’ve felt he isn’t even going to show up in person, but we might get a bit of elaboration. But it seems like the wider (actively theorizing) DT fandom seems to believe he’s absolutely showing up and the game will be ruined if he doesn’t. Like while it’s true he wouldn’t be coming out of ‘nowhere’, I feel like it would just lead to a lot of confusion with casual fans if he suddenly has a huge presence. In that sense, I see DELTARUNE as almost a modern-day re-telling of Oedipus Rex, your fate may already be sealed, but fate will never force your hand to do it, your own free will will choose to do what fate says.
