Why does Nintendo keep remaking the same starfox game? Why can't they simply continue the story or remake the ones that actually deserve it.
Don't think of Star Fox as an IP to be expanded. Star Fox was a game that people liked.

Nintendo also doesn't want to have a series of Starfox sequels that play too similarly. So game devs need to come up with some gameplay gimmick (that makes use of the console's features) which will get tons of people to want to buy it. Unfortunately that would require the series to deviate from the standard Arwing gameplay to include some pointless or annoying gimmick which fans will find some reason to hate. Thus they are stuck remaking 64 until Nintendo fans agree to compromise or until the Starfox movie comes out and makes a billion at the box office. Don't bother trying to hope that the suits at Nintendo will change their mind one day, they're either too stubborn, cautious, or stupid for that to happen.
