This is a series that appealed to me a lot as a kid and doesn't appeal to me at all, now. In fact, the Wuwa collab with Edgerunners makes me think of why I feel no desire to play kingdom hearts anymore, and why the initial games, specifically 2, stuck with me hard as a kid. If you're going to do a collab or cameo, it has to be with the utmost interest in the source material. Everyone in Kingdom Hearts is just kinda there, you don't see any of the insecurities or fears when it comes to Mulan, Tarzan, Aladin, or Hercules. And they know how to do that, because the final fantasy cameos were kino. Fuck, middle school me lost his shit when Auron popped up. The series could've done what Wuwa's doing, and since it's actually from the same cultural sphere and mindset, it would've probably rocked people the way seeing Lucy with David did.
