Do you want Break the Targets back?
>>
yes, and trophy gallery and even board the platforms. bring it all back
>>
>>740912131
Kinda yeah.
>>
Anything past Melee is forgettable.
You posting a Melee screenshot proves my point.
>>
>>740912225
/thread
>>
>>740912131
yeah and board the platforms and i would want it like it was in 64 and melee where everyone had their own unique courses. i understand with a roster with like 80+ characters that is asking a lot though so i expect it to never happen.
>>
>>740912131
I want more single/two player co-op modes. I want break the targets, target blast, smash run, smash tour, event mode, SSE, adventure mode, board the platforms, and boss battles back.
>>
Not necessarily Break the Targets, but I'd like more single-player content. Spirit Battles were an interesting idea but they got old pretty quick and I probably used a Bowser with as much attack as I could stack to blow out about 99% of them.
>>
>>740912131
fuck man i'll take any singleplayer content
they even managed to fuck up classic mode how do you even do that
>>
play Slap City
>>
>>740912131
No I want Nintendo to die already.
>>
subspace emissary was peak, and I never understood the hate for it
>>
>>740912225
>>740912316
i'd agree but project m ruled
>>
I don't particularly want Smash Bros back
>>
>>740912638
Classic mode would've been great if they randomized the cpus and bosses you fought against. Being forced to play the same characters and bosses gets tiring.
>>
>>740912131
Hell yeah nigga.
>>
>>740912225
Some of my best Smash memories ever are from Smash 4 and I'm a Meleefag.
>>
>>740913141
yeah that's what i mean like
ultimate's "classic" mode does have the same replayability, it's the same set every time and it SUCKS!
>>
>>740912131
No bitch I want Subspace Emmisary
>>
>>740913241
i meant to say "doesn't" but i'm not gonna delete it LOL
>>
>>740912710
people hate it? all I ever heard was samurai was autistic and hated the fact people uploaded the cutscenes to youtube
>>
I want it all. The fighting polygon team, giant DK, board the platforms, break the targets, metal mario
>>
>>740913241
yeah it sucks I really wanted to like it but the replayability is non existent
>>
Anyone miss the all-star event matches?
>>
>>740912225
Brawl online was shitty but the freedom you had mogged any other smash online room in history
>could fight each other
>could have people gang up on you 3 v 1
>could do crazy shit with items
>abuse glitches
>homebrew as green alloy and rape everyone's wii
it was magical and I will always treasure it

in Brawl online, people would repeatedly crouch instead of taunting. However, when I would play single player vs cpu, they would crouch taunt sometimes, and they only did that after playing online.
>>
>>740913603
Brawl's With Anyone mode was a total shitpost of a game mode. Occasional four way brawls were the exception, not the rule. People would frequently sit around playing on the level, taunt spamming, and ganging up on the one player entering the lobby who wanted to take it seriously, with the odd player who used glitches or mods to do things like selecting unplayable stages or keeping characters in special states (i.e. permanent Wario Man).
And honestly, I wouldn't have had it any other way. Smash 4 gutted the online while not improving the reason Brawl online was a shitfest: The awful connections and constant lag.
>>
>>740913517
Kind of sucks that ultimate had the most potential for it because of the huge ass roster
but they specifically went and removed randomization (which would have been EASIER to do)
>>
>>740912131
yes. I never got why they removed it. It was a really fun mode IMO. Race to the finish in SB64 was also fun.
>>
Yeah, I thought the unique stages that were tailored to a character's moveset were really interesting - they were puzzles that required a knowledge of the character's kit, and it was a nice break up the fights
>>
>bring back Targets and Board the Platforms for ALL characters
>no retarded story mode: Subspace was never good, Word of Light was horrendously bloated
>have a good old Event Match list instead (not the gay map-esque shit from Sm4sh) since World of Light was basically a glorified Event mode
>keep Classic from Ultimate, Multi-Man, Home Run
>bring back trophies with actual descriptions, no faggots trying to be le quirky with references to anime or memes
>cut Stage Builder
There. I fixed it.
>>
>>740914612
yeah they fucked up
>>
>>740915070
>There. I ruined it.
ftfy
>>
>>740912498
All of this and the stages missing from ultimate just gives me an excuse to go back to the older games
>>
Brawl's Target stage is so boring. did anyone like it?
>>
>>740916640
It was okay.
>>
>>740916640
Yeah no it sucked. Annoying music on top of that.
It wasn't all bad though, at least we got the coin launcher game, that one's probably my favorite smash minigame.
>>
>>740912131
All my wanted fighters are abysmally never evers, so I'm big on modes and things like music and stages not getting cut
I would love to see board the platforms, break the targets, race to the finish, home run contest, the multi man melees of course, a fun way to obtain trophies or whatever the hell, and above all, smash run
I easily put HUNDREDS of hours into that mode alone
Event smash can go back to being a mini mode, it was a novel idea for a minute to have event matches be your entire schtick, but after a while I just missed having more mode variety
>>
>>740912701
Hmm... no. No, I don't think so. I will continue to play Ultimate despite despising the game, demand changes that will never, in a million years, happen, and then greedily accept the most meager crumb of a concession in Smash 6, saying
>It isn't so bad
while other, better platform fighters that would actually give me almost all of what I want wither and die around me.

Sorry, just not going to play Slap City!
>>
>>740912131
>has less modes than all the previous games but the first
>doesn't even have trophies
Seriously the fuck were they thinking?
>>
>>740912131
Yes. I also want way more stadium minigames. I dunno why the newer smash games are so fucking lazy. You'd think they'd be able to make more content with a team that's 100x the size. The fact that the singleplay offering has just gotten more and more meagre and pathetic with every entry is just an indictment on the devs.
>>
>>740918838
I stopped caring about trophies after melee but ultimate not having any extra modes is retarded
>>
>>740918838
They were thinking everyone is here
>>
>>740918838
Quantity over quantity. A cancerous approach which I hope Smash 6 doesn't repeat.

>>
>>740912710
I only disliked character unlocks being tied to it. The 64 and Melee unlocks are so much more fun. As a kid, there characters we couldn't unlock without an older kid helping, and it made Ness and Captain Falcon or Mewtwo feel so much cooler.

Why do you care so much about all the shitty game modes? It's a multiplayer fighting game so having all the characters is all you really need. Only lonelyfags care about break the targets and shit
>>
>>740912131
Yes and no. I want Custom Stages to have a "Break the Target" mode so you can mark your stage as a single player BTT instead of one for fighting.
>>
>>740919435
>I only disliked character unlocks being tied to it
You can unlock characters in brawl the same way you can in 64 and melee. I unlocked all of the characters before even touching SSE.
>>
>>740917654
your loss
>>
>>740912131
A NEW RECORD!!!!!!!!!!
>>
pick a single home run contest or break the targets you nailed
finally got the 3300~ on bat dropping ganondorf
>>
>>740912131
Personalized Break the Targets were so cool in Melee. Felt more special in Fox's or Young Link's stages. The Brawl ones were "okay", but Smash 4 onward it was owari.
Melee taught you character movement and mechanics so well, like stalling in air with Marth and Roy side-b and YL wall jumping.
I get it that its lots of work for bigger roster but it still means so much in the end compared to smacking a bomb few times and praying for rng to get a big score.
>>
>>740918838
>doesn't even have trophies
After Sm4sh and its fucking awful trophy descriptions, I'd rather not have them. Every since Brawl they've just been 95% recycled models anyway. Melee had original stuff.
>>
>>740922621
this
the whole appeal of melee's trophies was that they were made specifically for the game and had an awesome looking consistent art style
spirits being PNGs just made the problem more apparent
>>
FINISH!
>>
>>740924463
Spirits were so fucking bad. I'd take recycled 3D model trophies over a png

>board the platforms
Forgetting modes like this exist for how much I played Melee makes me feel senile.
>>
>>740912131
Yes, I want all the side modes and then some. I lost interest in Smash 4 and didn't even bother with Ultimate because the singleplayer content was so barren.
>>
>>740912131
Yes, but only if they're character-specific stages. The generic stages in Brawl sucked ass.
Also I want Smash Run back.
>>
>>740912701
