Now that the dust has settled, what's the /v/erdict?
It's great and the DLC is great. If I played it at a more sensitive time in my life it might be on my 3x3.
Got like 25 minutes in and got tired of talking to people and the melancholy banjo music made me sad/scared/ anxious and I turned it off
Shit replay value. Doomed to be forgotten
10/10.
Might actually be a better game than I even thought after some investigations into games related to games I have in my top 5
>>740912349if you didnt make it through the tutorial you should try it again, its not indicative of the game at all
>>74091220310/10 game, 11/10 DLC I can't think of a better game.
>>740912349>the melancholy banjo music made me sad/scared/ anxiousI mean, that is deliberate and you're supposed to sweat your balls off once you understand the full significance of what you are doing while the music plays, but the starting section is intentionally super low key to contrast against the rest of the game
This is exactly the kind of game that should be ported to the Switch 2. It feels "off Nintendo" in a very good way, like a fan project made by people who are legitimately talented enough to actually capture the good qualities of Zelda, but in an actually wholly original and high quality way that resembles nothing else too specifically and isn't just cheaply ripping off anything else.
>>740912203Certified kino that is unfortunately impossible to replay.
tranny game
It's legitimately good but like >>740914458said, you can't really replay it. I'm sure with enough time you can go through it again and appreciate some things you might have missed the first time around, but it just won't be the same.
>>740912203Woke leftist slop billionaire trust fund garbage made by the same studio who did Mixtape (2026)
Really great, but the DLC had too singular and linear of progression, which made it annoying to have to repeat
>>740912203ruined gaming forever for me, everything feels like slop now
>>740912203Gone Homo in space + Buying the game siphons money into the IDF.
>>740912203Genuinely one of the greatest experiences in all of video games if you play it at the right time in your life.
>>740912203r/eddit
I figured out how to finish it but was 2 spooped for Bramble to finish it
>>740912203these fucks need to make a new game already so i can experience true kino again
>>740916675Who knows, a lot of the bigger devs might have been impressed and scalped some of their staff
>>740915030Outer Wilds was developed by Mobius Digital. Mixtape was developed by Beethoven & Dinosaur. Both games were published by Annapurna Interactive, but publishing a game is a completely different thing.Btw, Mobius Digital was founded by the actor who played the Japanese time traveler from Heroes.
>>740912203The game was funded and created by Megan Ellison who's father is Larry Ellison who is one of the richest men in the world and owns Oracle. They are consolidating their power and wealth to fund right wing conservative propaganda and Outer wilds is just another game designed to brainwash people.
>>740917034What is Outer Wilds meant to brainwash me into thinking/doing?
>>740917092Exploring :)
>>740917112Those evil motherfuckers.
>>740916986>Btw, Mobius Digital was founded by the actor who played the Japanese time traveler from Heroes.Loved that lil nigga
>>740917202>Save za cheer reader...>Save za warudo!
>you must wait approximately 30-50 years in order to go senile and suffer heavy memory losses so you're in condition to replay the gamethis thing must be the evilest game ever conceived
>>740912203*ahem*FUCK ASH TWIN10/10. one of my favorite OSTsthat is all
>trial and error ad infinitumnah nigger
>>740917251asian version of pic related
>>740917535What
>>740917535It's pretty satisfying once you figure out the puzzle and there's only one. That's why people say it isn't replayable.
>>740917383Oorrrr watch your kids play it one day and don't give them any hints and just watch them figure it out like you did
>>740912203I hated the DLC and I almost dropped it, after completing it because the friend who recommended me the game in the first place insisted on it, I realized that I was a retard and that it was amazing
>>740918551I did the same thing because I didnt even know the dream world existed at all
>>740918551I hope you appreciate your friend for that, anon. The image reminds me, I'm looking forward to Dimhaven releasing in two weeks. Under the Myst-likes category.
>>740918551Nah, the dlc is bad
>>740918872I do, if a friend recommends you a game like this, he truly is your friend>>740918951It's annoying, I'll give you that, but if you enjoyed the base game, you can't say the DLC is bad
>>740912203the only game i ever played where i gave up trying to see the end and was only playing to satisfy my own curiosity.
>>740912203Sounds good on paper but I don't have the attention span to beat it
>>740919151What kind of games do you enjoy?
>>740918951It's not
>>740919218Fps games, action games
can I play the DLC if I don't remember that much from the main game?
>>740915396The DLC had a linear progression? Are you sure we are talking about the same game?
>>740917034Take your meds
The DLC was too scary, but i will 100% play anything these niggas make from now on.
>>740919369Yes, it has nothing to do with the main game
>>740919068>>740919286Neither of you have played it
>>740919454I'll buy it next sale then
>>740919504hurr durr
>>740919369It plays out like just any other cycle. It's there for you to do whenever you want, if you can find it
>>740912203reddit game
>>740919369the only thing you need to remember is that you can use your scanner/camera to find ghost matter safespots
I think I'm mostly finished exploring Brittle Hollow and Giant's Deep, so now I have to explore the hourglass twins, Dark Bramble, and also find the quantum moon (with the sixth location(?))I landed on the desert twin earlier and it seems like a pain in the ass to traverse within 20 minutes but I'm nothing if not persistent. I kinda want to get an Outer Wilds Ventures bumper sticker for my car.
>>740912203best game ever madereally filters the v browns tho
I wish there were more outer wilds-likes. I love games where the only skill is the knowledge you have. I love that you can beat the game in 5 mins if you know what you're supposed to do.
>>740918551The moment when you drop the lantern and walk away from it got me so fucking good that I immediately forgave everything the DLC did that pissed me off
>>740912203One of the only good space games btw
