Tired: Fuck AstarionWired: Get hypnotized by Astarion
>>740916869Gale. Astarion is a prick. Unless you're into that.
>>740917298Definitely leaning more toward Gale, yeah. Astarion has tsundere energy that makes me want to put him in his damn place and dick him down, but Gale is such a sweetheart.Fuck man, why is this game so GAY (in a good way)
>>740917409>Gale is such a sweetheart. He really is. It's such a damn shame he gets such a bad wrap. Hearing people go "he fucked a goddess" even though if you actually did his quest you see he's deluded about the affair. Much like how Lae'zel was about her queen or Shadowheart was about Shar but I digress. Gale is a man of true devotion towards those he loves. And I love that about him. He may have his faults but loyalty isn't one of them.>Astarion has tsundere energy that makes me want to put him in his damn place and dick him down,You could always have an alternative save?>Fuck man, why is this game so GAY (in a good way)Because Larian is based in giving the player the option to decide whom they want to be with. You're not at the mercy of the developers giving you only one gay option to pick.
>>740916869I'm gay and I don't find any of the male characters in BG3 attractive. They basically feel like a 30 year old liberal white woman's idea of what she thinks a gay man would find attractive.
>>740917850Actually, I did find Halsin attractive at first but that was only before I heard him talk. Good lord he's obnoxious.
>>740917850Theoretically, what kind of character in this setting would you have got with if given the choice?
>>740917908I just like dudes who embody traditionally masculine traits and both Astarion and Gale seem like they were designed specifically to subvert traditionally masculine traits (daring bold new idea that's never been tried before, I know). Not that there's anything inherently wrong with characters who do that, I just don't like them personally.
>>740917905>Halsin attractive at first but that was only before I heard him talk. Good lord he's obnoxious. It's a shame about Halsin. He's good beefcake material but the problem lies in his romance and character arc post act 2. The reason for that was because Halsin was meant to only be a temporary follower, not a full fledged companion with a romance. But due to his popularity with Early Access players Larian decided to overhaul his character. Which unfotunately due to the writer behind him got a bit self indulgent and referential. Making him come off as this obnoxious hippie who makes love to anything with a pulse. It sucks because he made a cool first impression in act 1.
>>740917905Really? What makes you say that? I'm straight, but I thought Halsin was a total Chad.
>>740918048>embody traditionally masculine traitsFair enough but maybe I'm biased but at least for Gale he does have some traditionally masculine qualities in my eyes. Confident, loyal, protective. Plus it's really hard to find too many example of really masculine gay romance options in games. Most often they tend to be flamboyant in some degree. It's not like we ever see a figure that's your stoic knight in shining armor.
>>740918235He looks hot but his entire personality is basically being a massive disgusting perverted sex pest while framing it as some kind of enlightened hippy "free love" polyamory type philosophy.
>>740918101>>740917905Hey look, someone else noticed this.I did like Halsin during the demo and throughout Act 1. Then it feels like he loses his conviction and gets flirtatious (I was not romancing him) and I didn't like the faggot anymore. Did bad writing screw him over? Could we have had better with Helia?
>>740918363Ah, yeah that sounds awful if you wanted to date him. I only ever really talked to him about quest and druid junk.
Astarion is straight.
>>740918398Nah. Larian just screwed up with having the romances be handled as optional content so the writers had free reign to do anything with them right thinking how it fits to the story.
>>740918473no
>>740916869Play as one and fuck the other one.
>>740918101If someone likes Halsin but didn't play any of Act 3, is it reasonable that they totally missed the bear sex thing? Or sex scenes with him in general?
>>740920857Yeah. The sex scene is only accessible in act 3. Once you get into the city of Baldur's Gate, proper. By then if you had been romancing him he'll talk to you at camp where he'll express interest in spending the night with him. To which, if you so desire, you can.
>>740920794I'm actually considering this. I'm about halfway into the game but I almost want to restart anyway for that very reason. Also>HalsinYeah, pretty much what was said here >>740918101I don't think he's awful, he's just kinda annoying in act 2 which is where I am now, and I have noticed this a lot myself. It's really inconsistent with how he was in act 1 and I don't really like the direction the writers took him in. Which, yeah, is a shame because he's hot sometimes.
>>740918473He's pretty much just a slut for whatever's going I think man.
>>740921550>I almost want to restart anyway for that very reason. You'll miss out on the other character's dialogue. I'd really recommend sticking with Gale as your love interest. It's simply sublime.
>>740917298Gale can be really fucking annoying though>muh special relationship with muh lady >muh special relationship with muh lady>muh special relationship with muh ladyLike stfu already dude we get it
>>740922849Gale's just delusional, like I said here >>740917786He does move past her and sees Mystra for what she truly is.
