But is this the dumbest terror group ever?
>>
I feel like they weren't really fleshed out at all. I don't even know what their grand motive was. good game though

Why didn't they give Sam a toothpick?

I played both the 360 and og xbox version, since some said the og xbox version was better overall including writing.
No, it isn't, it also doesn't really give the JBA more depth, if anything they come across more retarded, since Sam sneaks around their base in full spy gear and interrogates the members.
In the 360 version you had no gadgets for it and nobody has to see you or mission failed.
The 360 Double Agent version really is the overall superior game. The og xbox version is just Chaos Theory but worse.

I honestly can't remember the plot to this game at all. I played the 360 version.
You went to an icebreaker, Shanghai, a cruise ship, some shithole wartorn 3rd world country, and if you got the true ending or whatever you could fight Moss in Manhattan.
I always thought, even during the release of the game, that the writers were trying something too dramatic with Sam, with the plot about his daughter dying and then signing on for a tough double agent job. I liked the old plots where it was just Clancyslop and Sam was a cool guy doing wetwork because muh America.
The multiplayer was a step down from Chaos Theory imo, kind of had a weird depressing vibe to me for some reason. Depressing would sum up the whole period of my life playing this game.

the double agent segments were fun. felt like more focused hitman. it's a shame they stuffed so much early seventh gen snakeoil garbage into it instead of focusing on making a good social stealth spy game.

Uh, why would you sign up for a tough double agent job if not for something like that? Considering what Sam will have to do to keep his cover intact.

I dunno, but Conviction revealing Sarah was never dead all along just validates how weird Double Agent felt to me.

More like Conviction is stupid as shit

I think my issue was that it felt like a needless network tv fox esque twist. the prior games had established dark elements in sam's charater and his muddled distant relationship with sarah. him seeking out a risky assignment and being out on the edge mentally could have been done without comment..
