RE Requiem's playerbase on Steam is more spread out, meaning fewer people playing at the same time and a lower potential CCU. Stellar Blade's playerbase on Steam is majority Chinese. That means far more owners of Stellar Blade on PC were playing at the same time, leading to a higher CCU. So, Blood Rain could be less "mainstream" but still hit a very high peak CCU on Steam. Although I personally think 500k is too high a guess. Blood Rain would have to be a significant improvement on every aspect of Stellar Blade and that's not an easy thing to do with a sequel.
