Let us discuss this videogame on /v/ - Video Games
>>740948206Then don't make generals.
>>740948282>stop talking about videogames, that is a "general" reeeeeywnbaj
>>740948206Disgusting stinky irredeemable rodant like RAT
>>740948323Gonna cry, lil guy?
I thought you could do the areas in any order but septemburg seems like you really need a couple of upgrades to make it anywhere
>>740948206forced sovl slop
>>740948372I was going to make a point in the defense of this thread but you've already tossed one of those points away with this.
>Gonna cry, lil guy?
>>740948465I did Septemburg first myself. I'd imagine it's less of a pain than Bone Beach first.
>Me in 2006: Wow, I can't wait to see what video games in the future will look like>Video games in the future:
she won
>>740948206Pixels are enormous. I have to use windowed mode just to see what the hell is going on. The terrain height and ledge indication is shit, I can't really see what's lower, and what's higher.
>740948606This is not representative of 2026 videogames, you dingus.
>>740948606You in 2006 was probably less of a whiny bitch
Is that... a VIDEO GAME THREAD ON /v/!!!??MOOOOOOODS DELETE THIS NOOOOOOOOOOOOW
>>740948206>>>/vg/
>>740948650>all the shitposters spending months insisting the game was going to flop and die and kill YCG>sells 500k copies in one weekFeels good man
>>740948656>I have to use windowed modeThat's what the screen scaling option is for.
>>740948282>>740948725gonna post this in the constant Deltarune threads too? And the claude AI generals? And the 10+ gacha threads active at any given time?or is it only a "general" when it's people talking about a videogame you don't like
>>740948656>I can't really see what's lower, and what's higherI had no trouble with that after the intro. Also, the mechanics don't exactly work by height. Recognizing the ledge types is more important
Posting my sexy monster crush before thread deletion.
>>740948804He does though
>>740948606Me in 2006: "it fucking sucks that games are so much worse than they used to be"Me in 2026: :D
>>740948804i >>>/vg/ in gacha threads and motorslice threads when that was being shilled too silly. posting generals in the general board makes everyone happy.
>>740948585I don't understand...every path is a dead end
What's your favorite track in this game?I like Gator Gallop, the main theme in the bayou area.
Donate to blm somewhere else.
Furrybait aside, is this a good game?
>>740949079Genuinely an 8.5/10 at worst. Feels like GB Zelda, Castlevania and Dark Souls had an illegitimate bastard child and it's great.
finally these shitty threads are dying
>>7409489532006 was such a dire fucking year. I googled and saw some retard redditor saying this was a list of GOOD games from that year. Holy shit what a bunch of absolute slop, nothing has changed in the past 20 years except that indies are finally picking up the slack from the failing legacy companies.
>>740949006There's something you're overlooking then. Some side areas will require specific sidearms or trinkets, but you start the game with everything you need to complete it.
>>740949143>still seething about a good game, two weeks laterSad! Many such cases.
>>740949079not really.too many clashing genres and inspirations. could be good if it got rid of the lame castlevania enemy/platform design, or shitty souls-like fluff
>>740949079This is NOT Link's Awakening, this is top down GBC Elden Ring with a dodge roll that has a full second and a half of startup. Go in with that expectation and you'll be fine.
>>740949079If you enjoy the genre and the graphics bring out nostalgia, it's very good.Otherwise, it's just a decent top down action rpg with meh graphics.
Why does this gameboy color game needs 4 gb of ram + video card, when the gameboy color could do it on 32 kb of ram?
>>740949145>Sonic fucking 06>the word 2D Mario game>the worst Pokémon games>over the hedge Surely they were fucking around?
>>740948982Nta but in my experience, you make a Mina thread in /vg/ and it gets moved to /trash/ or /v/ then deleted by the mods.It almost feels like there's an effort to stifle discussions on this game. But I'm fairly certain it's a coincidence and mods just really hate anything with an antro protagonist.
>>740949079Yeah
740949260>posted it again award
>>740949145>shitting on Ultimate Alliance>shitting on fucking Bully
>>740949145there's like 10 good games on here. nothing truly outstanding but come on. putting over the hedge on there is pretty funny though lol
>>740949320This is the first time I posted. You are gaslighting me.
>>740948606Honestly looks much better on a small phone screen. I guess Steam Deck users are in luck
740949443>he thinks I haven't noticed the other 5+ times someone asked the exact same question in these threadskekwlmaohaha, even
>>740948953She needs "What's up, doc?" fanart where she's peeking out of burrow. Or maybe "Wrong turn at Albuquerque".
>>740949530So what's the explanation for it?
>>740949271the dev was spamming threads, thats why its hated.
>>740949219don't use the burrow as a roll, that is a very common beginners mistakethe regular jump can dodge most attacks if you move correctly
>>740948804dont worry, the faggot janny deletes deltarune threads too.
>>740949147wtf this springpad thing would NOT let me up here before I don't understand what I did differently
>>740949774i'm watching him autosage one right now lol
>>740949774Apparently not often enough, with how often I see them. Also they explicitly defend some generals; I asked why Claude AI was allowed to have 24/7 generals outside of /vg/ and got warned for it.
Should you entomb the Duke
Sorry, Joseph Anderson says the combat sucks.
>bro why are you killing my threads about mouse armpitdo furfags really?
>>740949079The core gameplay is not very good. It does have a lot of polish, secrets, and content, though. I guess that's enough for most players.
>740949923nobody asked about your eceleb
>>740948804Or the billion nintendo threads or the famitsu general that's constantly running despite being off topic seriously why the fuck is that thing allowed?
>>740949912there's no downside unless you're doing a blameless run or -1%
>>740949709You got actual evidence of this, or are you having a schizophrenic episode?
>>740948372Of all the festishes to slap on an anthro mouseSweat and armpits? Really?
>>740949912Yes, you get a stupidly overpowered trinket for it
>>740949870The same thing happened to me there the first time. I'm guessing it's because I was holding a direction during the jump, but I never had it happen again.
>>740949870When it comes to being sprung through the air and jumping up to a higher elevation, the game is stupidly precise. You have to be dead-on or else it won't let you up.
>>740950228It's solely due to that one infamous twitter message by the devs.
>>740950228dumb porn addicts couldn't think of anything else when they read "pit sweat"
>>740949079It's kinoThe beginning is rough until you start to bone up and explore around for trinkets
Fell off hard
>>740950397there were many options available but they went with pit sweat
I have seen this happen a lot lately in /v/. If the thread is about a game and not about drama or steam numbers, it will get bashed constantly. Arguments are always comparisons to other game or political reason. Nu-/v/ has also hard time understanding that you cannot stop porn posters, they have always been there for better or worse.
>>740950442It's just not a streamable game>low res graphics>becomes easy relatively quickly>single player>no flashy difficult challenge, even on high difficulties there's nothing particularly entertaining to watch about the gameplay
>>740950381Easily my biggest qualm with the game. Or second, after some really questionable hitboxes on larger enemies. They're about equal in how much they annoyed me (rarely, but quite a lot whenever they did).
>>740950396>>740950397What message?
>>740950812https://x.com/YachtClubGames/status/2053960823094264135
What weapon did you guys use
>>740950913Whip because it's canon
>>740950913Hammer casket and daggers, from most to least
>>740948804nigger literally all of those also get spammed with wannabe jannies doing this exact same shit>And the claude AI generals?this one is unique because it gets told to >>>/vp/ instead of >>>/vg/
>>740950913Whip first playthrough, Blaster every run after.
>>740950913Mostly whip and blades. I might try hammer more at next run, as most seem to favor it. Also gun seems busted too.
>>740950913Hammer because it was the only weapon with an appreciable 'moveset' early on. By the time you finally start finding (or purchasing) upgrades for the others, I was too used to the Hammer timing to switch off of it for something that does less damage.
>>740950905Topkek
>>740948606Why do I not remember this room? Why can I not remember this room?
>>740951343Look at the UI in the bottom. That's a prototype / alpha screenshot.
Do you ever get some kind of movement upgrade or are you slow as fuck for the entire game
>>740951489You get a trinket that increases your base movement speed and also gives you a huge speed boost when hitting enemies, it's honestly kinda broken for combat; lets you move and dodge shit super easily
>>740950905Rookie mistake
>>740950913Whip. First playthroughs are for canonical, developer intended playthroughs to see what their vision and original intent is.Second playthroughs are for bending that vision and intent to my preferences. That being said, I still prefer the whip after beating it. Hammer is clearly much better with a better skill cap and output.
>>740949265>the worst 2D Mario gameNah, DS is the "best" of the New Super Mario games.
>>740951489>>740951702+dagger throw upgrade. Used them and zoomed around. As result jumping slowed you down, because the game doesn't seem to have momentum.
>>740951489You also get a trinket that extends burrow time and another that increases its speed I think.Otherwise there are modifiers that make her move up to 4 times faster.
>>740951849Best trinket in the game is the one that lets you chain burrows. Not only because it trivializes water but because it just means you have burrow speed near constantly.I wasn't able to take it off after putting it on.
I'm didGraveyard > worm > pumpkin > currently on snow > swamp > tower?My friend did. graveyard > ice > swamp > pumpkin > worm > tower
>>740949145ultimate alliance is a good game though
>>740952072Snow or worm area second both sound like a very tough time
>>740950905Oh they just straight up put PIT SWEAT in big letters.
>>740950905>pit sweatFucking keeeeeek
>>740951994This.Wallower gloves combined with the chain burrow manual also lets you chain burrow into wals so you can just wall ride around 90% of platforming puzzles.Feels very slick.
>>740948804What you dont understand is that he does, but its specifically video game related stuff he doesnt like that he posts this in
>>740948585Bone Beach first?Septemburg first?I must be retarded, I did the crypt first and bog second because I couldn't find anywhere else to go.I've tried to get to bone beach and have no idea how, the two times I've entered the area I was blocked and it looked like they were backtrack shortcuts cause it was just rope on a ledge
>>740952506Yes, they did. Some people argue that it was done on purpose and the devs knew exactly how this would be interpreted.
>>740951046its just counter marketing by big money to deter game discussion from /v/. you ever wonder why there is always a world of warcraft(never warcraft 1-3) thread up on /v/ that never reach bump limit?
>>740952486I tried doing Bone Beach second and while the area itself wasn't too bad, the Mined Mind boss fight was terrible. Its just too difficult to avoid damage during the fight, its mandatory to have a handful of HP upgrades to allow for tanking, plus give buffer room for healing.
>>740952635The newspapers and npcs strongly push you>crypt>bayou>Septemburg>Bone Beach>Coltrane>Astral OrreryBut you can absolutely go to anyone of those first and finish it except Orrery. And you can actually go to Orrery first if you go enough into the bayou to get the fishing pole.
>>740950913I love the shield>excellent defense>big damage parries>can force your way through to a better position with a well timed jump attack>jump utility with the throw replaces the need for any pit trinkets>the throw pierces shields and can be thrown around cornersThe hammer is pretty sick too though.
>get map upgrade that lets you see how much trinkets and collectibles you missed per area>missing at least 5 per areaHow the fuck? I swear I explore and hit every breakable in every screen how is there this many secrets?
>>740953330There's lots of really well-hidden stuff. I was at 90% item completion and still finding new screens that I had missed.
>>740950913Daggers because DPS and a high attack level melts enemies. After the second upgrade you get another attack that is a slower and heavier.Idk if the hammer or whip was changed after the demo last October but I didn't like how slow the whip was and how I'm too retarded for the hammer
>>7409491452006 was such a shit year for being a 360 owner besides Chromehounds, I pretty much only used XBL to play that game until Halo 3 dropped.
>>740953330You're more blind than you thought. Also get the skull upgrade that tells you if there is a collectible in the current room or an adjacent room.
>>740953298i wish the shield toss was on a shoulder button, i keep throwing it when i don't want. great weapon tho
>>740953330A lot of those are rewards for sidequests, so it'll come from npcs you've met.Like the bog counting items from fishing around the world. And Ossex counting finding every Kear.So when you get down to one or two items remaining, don't discount having to talk to someone. Shopkeepers included.
>>740948953People didn’t bitch and moan about old game good new bad in 2006. It began when the first millennials turned 30, and it’s only gotten worse the older and more bitter and jaded they have become.
>>740952743It was done on purposeAt least one of the devs wanted to orientate the fanart in that direction
>>740948206
>>740953524I got used to it pretty quick, but I agree that it should at least be an option. It's weird that the other weapons with alternate function buttons get to customize what activates them but the shield gets a mandatory double tap.
>look mom I posted it again haha
>>740953776I feel like the argument has been happening since Mario All-Stars in 1993.Even then there were purists who preferred the NES versions. We just didn't have mongolian basket weaving forums to argue about it on.Someone will probably site an even earlier game that caused a schism from the arcade or something.
>>740953880If I had the dedication to make a game I'd do the same tb.hHave sex main character and lean towards my fetishes.
>>740953776>People didn’t bitch and moan about old game good new bad in 2006hello zoomer
>>740953776nigger, people called morrowind a downgrade compared to daggerfall. for a blast from the past powerpuff girl was considered woke for the time.
>>740954304Imagine if the PPG feminist thief episode released today.Holy fuck everything would be in flames.
>>740948206buy an ad
>>740949260I'd say it would be possible to do on the gameboy except for the fact Mina keeps track of every change you make to the world until you die/visit a hole. Its a trivial amount by modern standards, but i have a feeling it would be a problem on the gameboy hardware,
>>740951343>Mina the hollower 2024.jpgIt's cut content
>>740954497They did. Those ads are in the thread with you right now.Maybe I am the ad.Maybe (you) are the ad.Maybe the conversation is organic. Maybe some of us are keeping a fire lit that threatens to go out.The ad is in the room with us right now.
>complete the game>sit in the music hall for every song>still seven tracks missing on the record player
>>740954846The record player had every track available even before I had visited all the areas in the game. I think it's either cut content or future DLC.
>>740955015This.Those tracks are clearly from the boss fight against beast Mina when playing as Thorne.
My retarded route was Crypt Septemburg, Bone Beach, Swamp Astral OrreryColtrane. Even without cheesing or backtracking, I think you can get to the orrery pretty early, there are only 3 blocks in the column barricading the way, and I think some of the rows have duplicate colors, so you might only need 2 mirrors to actually open the path.
>>740952486>>740952072Wait worm isn't the first area? They told me to go south in the Hollower base so I went and cleared what I could find.
>>740948282Define "general."
>>740951439Thank god they didn't ship this. Those sprites are terrible.
>>740955320They were probably trying to point you towards the barracks so you could rescue autistic fox wife.
>>740955363"people talking about a videogame I don't like"
>>740955139>boss fight against beast Mina
>>740955432Oh well shit. I fucked up that miner boss and the the big brain but it took a bit of work
>>740955289Coltrane felt like that hardest and least fun level, so doing it last feels right over Orrery. Especially with Thorne.I think the mirror switch gimmick forced them to put Orrery last in the game-recommended route so having one platform color not unlocked wouldn't look strange.Really, just crype feels intentionally watered down as a first level, and Coltrane feels intentionally cranked up as a late game level.Everything else can be swapped around. Bog asks for heavier platforming. Septemburg asks for pattern recognition and movement. Beach asks for vertical space awareness. And Orrery asks for a little of each.
>The Green shirt gives you 25% extra health>The Blue shirt reduces all damage taken by 25%What's the difference, in practical use cases? Don't they have the exact same goal, you're 25% more alive?
>>740955513That's what I was expecting the Mirror Hut's boss to be. The big blob kinda sucked compared to what would've been a cool mirror match.
>>740951439She looks like Pinkie
>>740950228It's actually canon, and it's great
>>740955882They stack, when you get both you can tank roughly 51% more damage. Ultimately though, the damage reduction is technically more useful since larger damage numbers get reduced the hardest, while 25% more health might not always let you survive an extra hit.
>>740948206It beat it with 30 deaths. Am I good at video game?
>>740948206Haven’t played the game. Did they finally add Mina’s human boyfriend?
>>740956062Ah, I didn't realize the stacking effect. Neat!
>>740955882They're meant to compound. The damage reduction also helps keep the HP bar shorter, towards the end of the game the health bar looks almost too large.
>>740955895Mina is she melting
>>740950913I picked whip at the start, but I ended up using pretty much all of them. Casket was fun, even if it is kind of unwieldy by comparison.
>>740955895Which is likely why they changed the sprite, yeah.
>>740956252what a fat fuck
>>740952743You people are mentally ill.
>>740955289If you're considering cheese to be anything but crossing the tiles, 4th is the earliest you can do it. There's no column or zigzag with duplicates. At the absolute earliest, it can be your first generator with zero backtracking by going Bayou first and grabbing Pit Preserver + the Bayou mirror.
>>740956420
>>740953880He's a good man.I love the Pit sweat art.
>>740955675Not my experience, Coltrane kinda blitzed by. its short, its missing an npc hub the other areas have, the second half of the stage is very linear. Its funny because a bunch of NPC's talk about being unable to reach coltrane, but when I finally did, I have to wonder why? There is nothing there? the rail grinding gimmick in particular is cut short. Its a shame because the boss themeing is pretty strong, haunted train is a cool idea, but it isn't explored enough.
>>740956252>suspiciously cheese-shaped mouse
>>740948206>No cut in the earEVERY FUCKING TIME WITH THIS SHIT.
>>740948804>clod out of absolutely nowhereKEK how did such a fun lil fella mindbroke (You) THIS much?
>>740955882The wording is also important for trinkets and effects.>HP drains over timeSo the green cloak gives you a longer survival time.>X attacks do less damageSo blue cloak gets to compound that with 25% extra.Just small little bumps in either direction for types of damage taken and how its taken. On paper in a normal fight, yes, it's about 50% total.
>y-y-you mad! you mad! le mindbroke!
>>740956143Talk to me when you can rawdog it with a Below Zero run.
>no we can't just break the generators we have to shut them down safely or it could make the problem worse>the last generator blows the fuck up>this doesn't actually cause any problemsThorne did nothing wrong and deserves a written apology that he can physically point to the next time Mina says that he's going too far
>>740956753You're right, it is rather short.I guess just a few compounding things like Thorne rematch, the somewhat obnoxious snowball escort, and more spiteful puzzle rooms like Rupert made it feel like a deliberately oppressive area by design.and I don't mean ice physics, obviously the shoe spikes negate the entire level's "artificial difficulty."Lots of npcs also talk about how Coltrane is this oppressive maelstrom of evil and death at the top of the world. You don't even learn what the orrery is until you're inside and some dude tells you they study spark and plasma and were exiled for getting all mad scientist. It's just more visually impressive with hype music.
>>740954454you clearly weren't there, the backlash was so intense faust considers it her biggest mistake aside from everyone knows it's bendy
>>740957552>>this doesn't actually cause any problemsidk man i don't think anyone in ossex was having a good time
>>740957552>"fixing" a generator means nailing a few metal plates to a giant cancer expelling orbThorne was too lenient. Hang Mina in Ossex square.
>>740957349Good job anon
>>740957552>>this doesn't actually cause any problemsit caused enough problems for the city to break out into riots
>we love Lionel!>friend to the rich!>champion of the poor!>Ossex is his crown jewel!>Lionel dies>burn everything to the ground and kill anyone not holding a pitchfork>WHY WOULD MINA DO THIS?
>>740957836>>740958023one: they deserve it, they're morons at best and two-faced psychos at worsttwo: it's not like it killed them or mutated them into monsters or anything that Mina thought might happen, it just shut off the power AKA the thing Mina was going to do anyway once she realized what the spark generators were doingand the riots were caused more by the tentacled cancer baron being killed
>>740948606There’s plenty of realism slop being released for you, zoomie
>>740957934Alright pal, lets see YOU fix a spark tower.Oh wait... you couldn't even if you knew how, cause you'd turn into a MONSTER
>>740957552Thorne did EVERYTHING wrong and deserved his fate.I'm glad the Good Ending allows us to bring order to the Isle (and abroad)!
Was it really necessary for them to do my boy Cappy like that in the last 30 seconds of the game?
>>740958664pointing out reality is not a complaint. in fact, it's meant to be humorous. hope this helps
>>740958813Seek your reality in realism slop, zoomie-fuck.
>>740958705How do you get this ending? I never felt like there were any choices involved regarding the main conflict.
>>740958724>Aids evil terrorist mouse in her escapeYeah.
Sex with Rhene and Pokop, cuddling afterwards.
>>740959085Just don't be a nuisance on the isle.
>>740958724>last words were that things will eventually be okay and the people will forgive herIf I were Mina nobody would be left to forgive me.I hope Ossex burns to the ground.

>>740961730who's this fuckin chinchilla, why did she(?) steal mina's clothes, and most importantly where's the presumably naked mina
>>740962059It's actually a male and I edited out his cute little bulge so jannies wouldn't delete it
>>740961679Yes didn't you watch Minas Laboratory as a kid?
>>740961001Call me crazy, but I dont think full price games from a billion dollar company should look like unityslop.
>>740961001It's because those Gameboy games had restrained limitations. Technology was rapidly evolving in the 90s. What we got out of Gameboy games was a stylized art style to work AROUND the technological limitation of the Gameboy.Today, we have next to no technological limitation, so these games come off as looking cheap and plastic in an attempt to immitate that Gameboy charm without creating it.It's an art style that holds itself back on purpose to try to immitate something that simply did it better while trying to push itself forward. It's easy to see through the ruse of nostalgia and only see cheap asset garbage.
>>740962890....so the game should be hyper photorealistic because "we have the technology" ?
>>740948206So this game is shit, right?
>>740963175How do you determine if a game is shit or not?
>>740949923I don't know who that is but he's right.
>>740963175No, and it’s even better because the retarded tortanic niggers are mad about it.
>>740962890you're way overthinking it, it looks like shit because the LA remake looks like a fucking funkopopsimple as
>>740962989>....so the game should be hyper photorealisticOkay, so you don't want to have an actual conversation. You just want to be a shitposting low IQ faggot.I explained why people don't enjoy waffles and you seriously came back swinging with OH SO EVERYTHING SHOULD BE PANCAKES BECAUSE.You are the worst kind of moron. The kind that revels in it.

>>740963175It's okay, has some glaring problems but isn't bad. Worth a pirate at least
>>740963635Fun is just a buzzword when you can't actually think of any real reasons as to why the game is good, don't use it. Either way, being amused or entertained with something and being immersed are not the same thing.

>>740963752
>>740963758This mode deals no damage though, it's only useful against the flying enemies that rush at you and get knocked back by any damage.
>>740950913Whip then blaster first run, hammer second run. I think blaster is my favorite to use just because it reminds me of Link's sword, but hammer is easily the best weapon.
>>740963878No.
>>740958705>>740960753Now that I think about it, wouldn't Below Zero be easier with the secret ending? You get/have to skip all the side content either way and get to skip the final dungeon that way, the only difference being you also skip a couple useful tools like Protospark(I guess? Sealing the Duke in tomb counts as nuisance, but I don't know if it counts if you leave the lid open).
>>740963917Lightning grip procs off of any weapon damage, and wiggling the whip counts as multiple small hits. If you get a lucky dice roll you can chain a fuckload of lightning strikes. It’s not very practical tho
>>740963854But the difficulty is gay. What is with this modern shitty game design that starts difficult then gets easier as you go? So many games are like this and it doesn't make sense. That's bad game design. Modern devs are retards.
>>740964086Precisely. NPCs get filtered by the first couple hours of the game and refund it, thinking the whole game is hard like that.
>>740964086That's significant number of games accross history. You're suffering from survivorship bias.

>>740964385>Games always went easy on you in the beginning and got progressively harder as you went.Except all the games that didn't. Inverse difficulty curves are a staple of classic WRPGs. They always start brutally hard while in the late-game you become an untouchable god. See: Morrowind.

>>740965516No, Mrs Brisby both looks and acts feminine. Mina is 100% masculine.
>>740964363he's right though, the difficulty curve is easily the weakest thing about this game. 90% of my deaths were from my first two regions (and from fighting evra a bit early), and after that my overpowered healing and movement trinkets just trivialized most encounters and platforming. i didn't improve mechanically, i just outstatted everything. i can't blame yacht club much for it since the game has to be balanced around not using all of those things but it's disingenuous to say they aren't the main reason you "improved."
>>740965478Sinless ending doesn't really agree with that.
>>740965628I'd call her androgenous more than masculine. The only masculine aspect is that she's proactive in the plot, and of course she is, a protagonist can't be passive. Unless you're playing Animal Crossing or some shit.

>>740975002No, nobody has and nobody has been posting it in every single thread since it wasn’t made.
>>740972549No because a game should be designed to get harder as you upgrade yourself to offset your new power. It shouldn't play easier, you can just do more things. Too many modern games start off hard and stay the same so when you upgrade, you trivialize them.
>>740974957Well, I guess you can actually. I was just in the logic of speedrunning from a fresh start. If you do it in ng+ you only avoid combats and aim straight for bosses. Choosing trinkets is also important, stuff like burrowing codex work well to avoid basically all normal platforming challenge in the bayou dungeon.
>>740972642Probably not, silksong is actually a good game and requires good taste to enjoy

Even when he and Mina were alone at the top of the tower he stuck to his act to the point where I don't think it was all an act. He's completely insane, but he believes anything he says even if he doesn't believe it until he's said it.>>740980103This but with Luxy

Is there some kind of hidden timing mechanic?I happened to revisit this screen and saw there was a pond in the corner with a fish. The fish went away before i could try to catch it. I waited a while and then decided id start moving back and forth screens to get one to appear. I started doing that but after a couple screen transitions... the puddle is gone. I think it was like 5 or 6 tiles of water and it's not there now. I went to a save point to refresh myself and came back and there's still no puddle.
>>740982118The version of the room where the Dugan spawns is different, and has puddles. So I'm guessing you haven't killed him yet.
I've nearly finished the story, I'm going fucking ballistic in the final part, the one where there are two lion knights before the generator room, the generator room is probably the most difficult part of the game for me until now, I always get clocked out by the flying balls
>>740948206Why donate to shitskins that use it to buy million dollar mansions?
>>740982238I fought "Dugin?" That those kids were harassing and it transformed into the real thing and flew away. Is there a boss fight against the Dugin for real? Can I force this screen to beget that? I talked to the tanning guy and he said I brought the moon out or something and gave me bones. I'm not sure if he was awarding me for killing Mock Moon.
>>740981012Zero chance. He's a vain, silver-tongued snake who only cares about his public image and social status. He switches from honeyed words to killer instinct at the drop of a hat multiple times and even covers his ass in the process throwing Mina out a 4th? story window, then blaming her for breaking the window. I could be persuaded to believe he genuinely cared for Furgus, but even there I'm not convinced it's anything beyond personal benefit + public image.
>>740982372>killing Mock MoonYou fucking monster, do you even consider the consequences of your actions?
>>740970446I didn't want to immediately jump down his throat, but when the town is on fire and his reaction is>pshaw, nothing to worry about. by the way, have you seen my new orphanage yet?It kind of puts a giant neon glowing elephant in the room.

What's up with this one hole that looks like you should be able to enter it? I've defeated the area boss already and the weird worm things are no longer coming out. This whole looks different than the others but I can't actually enter.

Would you have liked the shield more if you didn't find it in a room with 20 fucking enemies that cover the floor in fire, immediately making it extremely unfun to have?
>>740983582mina the grapedranker
>>740983717huh?
>>740983735The main times I disliked it were against armored enemies like lynels where my parries got blocked and I could only use the piddly standard attack or shield throw for damage, or advancing attacks like Evra's punch where I could parry the punch but instantly ate contact damage. Also the shield throw not having the same input as most other weapons' new attacks sucked ass, I hate throwing my shield when I just want to put it away and take it out again.

>>740983890If you mean those lionhead guards then there is a way to get a guaranteed parry every time. Bait out the melee attack, dodge the first stab to the side, and line yourself up at a 90° angle so after they change direction the second stab will aim toward you. If you parry the second stab they'll never block the parry.
hi everyone.i want to ask why do mina pictures always have the flail with the spiky ball? i thought you could use different weapons. is it the best one?thank you for reading!
I'm losing my mind not being able to find One Last Thing. Is this the best kind of hint the game's willing to give?
>>740985019See bottom five lines. It's the canon weapon, but she's also a naive fool who simply didn't appreciate the beauty of the hammer until the player took control.
>>740985019hello anonymousthis is because in nature, the mouse uses the flail for self protection. they also use this instrument to aid in the acquirement of cheese.thank you for your attention to this matter
>>740985150The best hint the game gives you is in the newspaper.
>>740985150Anon, how are we to know what kind of thing you mean? Pull up the checklist and give us a look. >>740985019It's her sort of default weapon in a lot of the art, it's the default weapon on the weapon select, and it's meant to be the "balanced" one. Plus, you know, heavily Castlevania inspired game.
>>740985150You should try reading the UI and pressing A but it's probably on the train
>>740985019It's kind of the default weapon, but I started with the hammer and you'd have to pry it from my cold, dead hands to make me use anything else.
>>740985150>>740985352Wow so... I straight up didn't notice the checklist before. I have the re-burrow trinket from the hoop game. Don't remember what the second trinket was.

Is there a particular encounter this hint is referring to for in Bone Beach? It seems to be talking about the guy you buy the polyp lamp from, but I couldn't get him to do anything bad and never saw him outside his shop. The map says I'm just missing two bone gems so I'm not sure I even want to bother completing Bone Beach, i already ran through it again twice looking for what i missed.

I know it's the end of the thread but I'm really growing suspicious of things now that I knwo there's a big secret that's not been uncovered. This arrangement of grass in Septemburg is obviously in the shape of a 0 or 8, but I have no idea what to do with this information at the moment.

>>740987089from what I've been told, the devs have confirmed there's some secrets that haven't been found yet. It's making me a little schizophrenic, because now I can't unsee weird shit, like this one thing outside the Hollower's Guild. Why is it only on one side of the door? I'm scouring everywhere to find anything extraneous to find some kind of pattern.
