Is this the dark souls of remakes?

It's Californians taking a giant piss all over someone else's works.

I just replayed the original on emulator, and I've seen a playthrough of the remake. The animations and characters look a lot better, but the environments got a fresh coat of "Bloodborne TM".

It is just very tonally different to the original, and some people really hate that.

I'd like all the Souls game redone like this

I agree with you about the animations. The music and voice acting is much worse and it distracts me when I play it.

Sony and Bluepoint absolutely wanted "the dark souls audience" and marketed this as Dark Souls 4. Completly ignoring that Demon's was heavily inspired by Ico and Shadow of the Colossusus.

The remake got middling sales, on par with the original. I bet you god damn ANYTHING if they just re-released the old game on Steam it would have sold more there.

Demon's Souls on Steam = 1-2 million
Bloodborne on Steam = 3-5 million

Yet sony shits up Steam with Horizon garbage no one asked for.
